Such a great song. Nick, if you happen to be reading this...thank you so much for all your wonderful songs over the years. I'm a huge fan and see you every time you come to Toronto. Consider this fan mail!
I have never heard the sentiment expressed in this song expressed in any song. I cried the first time I heard it, and many times following. I think it will rank in history as one of the great (lost) love songs of all times. I think it rivals Nat King Cole's best!
Yes, He is fantastic, and had never made any scandal, whch is absolutely unnecessary for a good singer and composer, to stay wellknown. His songs shows what he can !!! Best wishes from Norway !!!!
I had the pleasure of seeing Nick last night in Phoenix AZ. Solo acoustic concert. He opened with this song. What a magical evening courtesy of a master songwriter and performer!
Stoplight roses sono i fiori che compri di fretta ai semafori quando sei fermo in attesa che ritorni il verde. Speri riescano a rimediarti un perdono ma finiscono col peggiorare le cose. È molto bella. Non la conoscevo.

The first time I heard this song I wanted to cry. It's so achingly beautiful.
He knows every songwriting trick in the book.
Spot on Damp Rice!
And he uses them to our benefit. 🎵
What a scientist
and he's the best in that league.......... Premiere League of Songwriting
Be still my heart strings. This is just so beautiful. Nick, looking forward to seeing you on June 22nd, 2022 in Port Washington.
Simply one of the best songs ever written

Has Nick Lowe ever written a bad song?? Damn he's good

Is so beautiful and painful at the same time... It's a shame that songs like this are so underrated, i insist... So beautiful that hurts
Nick still keeps coming up with these gems! Gotta love it!
One of the best Nick's ever put to disc! Excellent stuff.
Beautiful! There is a simple elegance to this combination of words and images.
so sad yet so beautiful...
"Lonely" isn't the word for him now
"Blue" doesn't describe it somehow
I like this side of Paul F. Tompkins. And I like how Nick Lowe has been using all these comedy people in his videos lately.
Aw, PFT needs a hug.
oh god this is amazing!
Glorious
this man influenced my own writing as much as Lennon did, he is the master of reality

Very good song. Good video. Nick Lowe is way cool.
The drummer is awesome
He's still writing brilliant songs isn't he?
So, so good.
Wow, this was in Chicago!!
Hurting joy
We've all done that walk...alone, late at night...and she's far away......bugger!! If only........!
Lovely. Strangely moving. Maybe we can all relate to both the song and the video.
Credit is given to the Chicago Film Office.
PFT!
Chicago. I've walked those same streets in similar states of forlorn.
Bravo!
Looks like he walks along Michigan Ave? Then under lake Shore Drive.
Thanks Mum x 🌷
A beautiful song and a beautiful video. Does anyone recognize the city in this video?
cool ...Paul F. Tompkins in a Nick Lowe video!
Is this part of a larger project? "Sensitive Man" also has a somber comedic moist glisten.
Steven Mercy I can still hear him now. "Who left the cap off my [bleeping] Glisten?"
I hope PFT didn't get drunk and fought (each other).
I love the song but WHO WOULD PUNCH PAUL F. TOMPKINS WHO
A woman scorned.
what city is this?
Chicago ...
Pauly Eff!
Anyone know the chords to this song?
Brilliantly sad.
The Angst of the Tuxedoed Man. Sigh.
Nobody comes close.
Nat King Cole could have sung this . . .
Your right. But ever since I heard this I had Tony Bennett in mind. But both would have done it justice.
Great song, but prefer Nick Lowe videos that actually feature Nick Lowe.
Great song, as always. But a cheesy video.
Good song but the video is trite & cliched,
