YarikS ytb I attended elementary, middle and high school in a Houston District. For elementary kids school starts at 7:00 am and they get out at 2:30 pm. For middle school it starts at 7:30 am and ends at 3:30 pm. High school starts at 7:50 am and ends at 3:00 pm. In elementary (grades kkindergarten - 5th grade) we have the same teacher for math, science, geography, english. They explain every subject till we understand it. If the student needs extra help they will stay after school till 4 pm for tutorials. They give the students a packet of homework every monday and they have to turn it in by friday. In middle school (grades 6 - 8) students have a different teacher for every subject. We change classes every 45-50 minutes. Only 5 minutes are given to go to the next class or go to the restroom before the next class. If you're late to class yoy will get lunch detention. which means you sit in a quiet area of the lunch room till lunch is over. if youre late to 3 classes in a single day then yoy will have after school detention. When you dont show up to after school detention you can get saturday detention or ISS (in school suspension). If you dont finish your class work it becomes homework. High school is pretty much the same as muddle school. It just has ilder people and its from grades 9 - 12. Ever school has a different building and its not all in one like in the video. Also we never have the same teacher for every grade. Apart from PE teachers. If you have any questions message me.
I was in school back in the 1970's in the U.S. and I can say that the lunchroom ladies still look pretty much the same now as they did then. Those ladies were pretty tough, and as you stated they don't have much time to shoot the breeze. I bet the only difference in lunchroom ladies worldwide is the menu they serve. Anyway I enjoyed you giving us this view of the Russian school system. Thank you.
It's the language problem, Russian writing looks scary to learn, from an English speaker perspective, Ask any American, that Backwards R, я in Russian, is both funny and terrifying.

An excellent and extremely informative video, Stacy (=Anastasiya?). Your command of English is incredible; I would never have guessed that you weren't born and raised in America! No offence intended, by the way, to those who choose to learn US English, but for me it was very heartening to hear British English being taught in your old school; Moscow and London are both in Europe, after all :) Did you have to "switch codes" when you went to America?
so our English and American friends it's really good school, but in please where I am live a lot of new, modern school. You can write this школа 31,Мытищи or школа 32 мытищи. my school is really good,I don't know, why everybody say that our schools in Russia bad and etc.Maybe I lucky, but I change 3 schools and all was good, clean and modern.

A fun and informative video. If I may make a suggestion regarding camera work... You might wish to practice "panning" the camera, that is, moving the camera slowly from one object of interest to another. If the camera moves too quickly, the viewer can feel a bit disoriented, even dizzy. It makes it difficult to focus on what is being seen. A rule of thumb is that when turning 90 degrees one should be able to count to 5. Another thing that would be good would be to aim the camera slightly higher when showing a group of people. If one imagines the camera viewscreen as having three vertical and three horizontal lines, making nine squares, the object of interest -- the face, or the trophy, or the photo -- should be on the top line. If it is higher than this is the frame, it can be lost out of the top of the picture. These are just some suggestions. In general, great photography, and wonderful documentation. I was amused that your geography teacher bragged about your geography scores. It shows that she takes pride in her work.

Very interesting! I notice that Russia schools and USA schools are totally different classes. In USA, there are some public schools are separate elementary schools and Middle schools and high schools ( not together in one building school).

It's still the same school with the same principal but students amost never mixed up. Or only at the school's stadium maybe.

Either English or German is a choice. It is compulsory in all Russian educational schools. In some, you can still choose French. But basically, as a foreign language for learning choose English.
$2,000-$6,000 for college damn that’s so cheap for college I’ll rather go to college in Russia then the US (idk if those prices changed since this was posted 3 years ago). This is making me want to learn Russian also.
No, No. In our canteen, you can't choose what you want to eat. Haha, you get cookies and tea, enjoy. Unusual school, I'm Russian, and I'm a little surprised
before knowing that you are a true russian native ,i thought that you were an american visiting a russian school.your english pronounciation is really marvellous and no one could say that you are russian by hearing you speak
@@NigolasKane that is sooooo non true, all schools got into the renovation process in Russia starting from 2006, so most of the schools look much better then this one! This one consider to be old now!
It seems like the Russian school system seems very similar to the German education system. The major differences would be that primary schools are separate schools and that we have three different types of secondary schools that you get send to after fourth grade based on your academic performance (yes this is quite a controversial practice but has been in place for more than a century). Also the tuition at university is much lower in Germany, about 150-400 € per month depending on where you go. Thanks for showing us around, very interesting!!!
yeah, prices for universities are really low, but salaries in this country are not the same as in the USA, so it's not really cheap if you will earn money locally. also, you have to study if you are male and don't want to go to the army till they force you
Hi, Stacey! I like your video. I just wish you could edit it and make in 10-15 minutes. I was looking for a video about russian schools to show to my students, and I really like you, but this video is too long for my class. My students've never been to Russia. If you could cut all the walking and opening doors, it would've been a great video. Good luck with your channel!
It was a little alarming to hear the teacher talking about how to assemble an AK-47 immediately followed by a visit to "the room where the kids get the shots"! Phew: it was only the medical room :) ("Shots" is presumably American English for "injections".)
Ok, I'm watching that part of your video again, again and again! I have a very silly question but I can't help myself to ask: in the minute 3:14 you don't say "pornography", right? Off course you don't but I reeeeeally don't understand THAT word. Can you tell me what word it is please? Ciao from Italy!
How I wanted my school to be organized and beautiful like that, I study at a Public school in Brazil, and it's totally different from what is shown in the video ;w;
Only 2000 roubles per student per month? That's so little, it's only £24. I don't know how much it is here, but I'm sure it must be more than that. It's amazing they have so much stuff like even a pool in that budget.
Yeah but that's for EVERY student in Russia. The government has a Board (Ministry) of Education where every year they adjust the budget to be able to sponsor every school in the country.
Yes,in russia we have lesson in school, where teacher show us how to use gas mask,AK 74,different types of grenades, the name of this lesson is OBZHE,in some schools we have bomb shelters, every hospital, military academy has it
Russians are really good in mathematics. I know it for a fact because I am a professional gambling mathematicians and I know some Russians who have same profession as mine and they are better than me.
You literally look like a king walking around and everyone else just let u do whatever u want
The thing I like about Russia. School lesson about how to survive in dangerous situation. Europe - call the police. Russia - assemble AK-47 😄

My friend is Russian and has a beautiful thick voice, her mother was killed 😥, that in 2005
do they teach English in the Russian schools?
sure! Not much time (about 2 days per week), but it is enough for moderate english knowledge. I also studied my english at usual russian school
yes
Either English or German is a choice. It is compulsory in all Russian educational schools. In some, you can still choose French. But basically, as a foreign language for learning choose English.
Shyanne Newell yes, we all study 2nd language. Mostly English or German, but some schools offer French.

All countries learns english
Im from algeria and we learn english too
$2,000-$6,000 for college damn that’s so cheap for college I’ll rather go to college in Russia then the US (idk if those prices changed since this was posted 3 years ago). This is making me want to learn Russian also.
Damn... What's school? Where is? Guys, it's really not typically russian school... This video show us is once of the best. I'm so sorry.
+Historic Daughter This is the school I graduated from 3 years ago. It is in Koltsovo, Novosibirsk region, Russia. My mom works in this school.
It is a quite average school.🙂
Yes life in Russia is a very different from America 😂🇷🇺♥️
No, No. In our canteen, you can't choose what you want to eat. Haha, you get cookies and tea, enjoy. Unusual school, I'm Russian, and I'm a little surprised
before knowing that you are a true russian native ,i thought that you were an american visiting a russian school.your english pronounciation is really marvellous and no one could say that you are russian by hearing you speak
pretty cool. its like i'm there. this video is 6 years old already.
This reminds me when I used to go To Russian school in elementary school,I would give everything to go to those days
Thank you so much for the video. greetings.
My university is LETTERLY nothing compared to this school! I'm not even joking! I'm jealous. Love to Russia from the middle east.
Wow your school is much more bigger than the private school in Philippines
very interesting, I've always wondered what school was like in Russia and Ukraine... Probably the same in Ukraine right? Thanks for the video :)
such schools ka radio unit and a school for elite students.
Gary Moss yes, right :)
no, ukranian schools aren't so good. maybe only in kiev
yariiks most Russian schools don't actually look like this.
@@NigolasKane that is sooooo non true, all schools got into the renovation process in Russia starting from 2006, so most of the schools look much better then this one! This one consider to be old now!
Hi Stacy, I really love this video...
really informative.
thank you so much
Nice. Greetings from Finland 🇫🇮
I can't wait 🤩🤩 for back to school 🏫🎒🏫🎒🏫 #2 ✏️📝✏️📝 pencils.
Liliia Rubtsova
It seems like the Russian school system seems very similar to the German education system. The major differences would be that primary schools are separate schools and that we have three different types of secondary schools that you get send to after fourth grade based on your academic performance (yes this is quite a controversial practice but has been in place for more than a century).
Also the tuition at university is much lower in Germany, about 150-400 € per month depending on where you go.
Thanks for showing us around, very interesting!!!
This looks like a luxurious compared to the american school I go to
17:55 omg even the accent amd level of cutiness changes when u live in america and learn their english😩❤
yeah, prices for universities are really low, but salaries in this country are not the same as in the USA, so it's not really cheap if you will earn money locally. also, you have to study if you are male and don't want to go to the army till they force you
Dosbol Duysekov you have to go to the army when u are 18 for 24 months and then u can leave if u want too
Since recently service life in the army is 12 months only
Thank you, this video was excellent!
Pretty cool to see some of this stuff. I'll subscribe and watch some others :)
My school is private Brazilian and it doesn't even have half of the things that yours has, yours is better🥰😘😘😘😘
HOW OUR GYM LOOKS ABSOULUTLY SIMILAR
greetings from hungary 🇭🇺
04:13 sooo cuteeee 😍😍
this is not a Russian school, we have 5 times worse than shown or is it a gymnasium
Looks better than most schools in Canada and us
It was a little alarming to hear the teacher talking about how to assemble an AK-47 immediately followed by a visit to "the room where the kids get the shots"!
Choreography
AHAHAHAHAHAH Ok, I'm really sorry I have disturbed you for that
I thought she said the same thing lol
How I wanted my school to be organized and beautiful like that, I study at a Public school in Brazil, and it's totally different from what is shown in the video ;w;
• Lᴀ'Kɪɴɢ I love MJ!
RJ schools sucks
Russian food seems to be so delicious 🥰🥰🥰 ♥ ️😁
Better than US food sure
Only 2000 roubles per student per month? That's so little, it's only £24. I don't know how much it is here, but I'm sure it must be more than that. It's amazing they have so much stuff like even a pool in that budget.
Yeah but that's for EVERY student in Russia. The government has a Board (Ministry) of Education where every year they adjust the budget to be able to sponsor every school in the country.
Many ppl say American schools are much harder and smoother than most european countries.
I am russian ❤
Love the Russian education system
It helps that everyone is homogeneous in ethnicity and class. I imagine the schools in the oblasts have unique ethnicities
My friend was born in Russia, and her father is also Klara
Stacy do you really have a teacher teach you how to take apart a AK-47 in school? Really informative video. Keep up the good work.
Congratulations on an educational system that concentrates on academics.
