  • The Yamaha TY Majesty Trails bikes were an icon.
    So to celebrate 50 years of Yamaha off-road we thought it would be a great idea to be involved with the celebrations. Picking a bike that is both, factory rider upgraded and then sold to the wider public. This machine was the new standard for the early eighties pilot!
    We were also able to get our hands on something special to show off. A BRAND NEW MAJESTY BUILD! Imagine a brand new eighties bike un-started fresh out of the box. That is what we have to show you guys in this one!
    A trial tube bike is never underestimated as we always bring the best builds to the channel. In this week's episode we see Danny pair up with Phil (Owner of Slickwhips Cleaners). To show you how he would recommend you keep your machine looking tidy!
    This is a real bit of education as we help you become the better carer for your machine and teach you a little more history. As always "never bettered" (in the words of Yamaha).
    This is Trialtube!

    Thank you for the tribute to my dad at the start, everyone from trials really made him happy, he loved to ride with you all. Rest easy dad, glad you’re not in pain anymore. Now you’re with your dad and dogs. A hard working, brave, strong man of gold. You will be missed by many ❤

    The TY250 was a pretty dreadful piece of kit! Majesty conversions made them look different, but performance didnt change much.
    TY175 modified in the right way, is better than almost all Fantic's, and there is no need to increase the capacity, or mess around with laying the shocks down.
    Sadly, no one really takes these bikes seriously now, even though they can be made to work very well indeed, and in modified form are much more effective than any TLR, no matter how much has been spent.
    Agree completely with your views on the 250, and to be honest the 200 isnt much better, as the increased capacity in most cases, means a motor which wont rev out properly, and is often rattly.

    • @TrialTube
      @TrialTube  Год назад

      All of the above is correct!

    • @humourless682
      @humourless682 Год назад +1

      @@TrialTube I owned 2 TY250s. They are truly awful bikes, but back then in comparison to the Spanish stuff, they were ultra reliable, and it was possible to ride them, rather than spend a good deal of time working on them.

    • @pinsxthree
      @pinsxthree 11 месяцев назад

      totally agree. I never could dig the 250 -- but the 175 was fun. but this quote: " TY175 modified in the right way, is better than almost all Fantic's, and there is no need to increase the capacity, or mess around with laying the shocks down. Sadly, no one really takes these bikes seriously now, even though they can be made to work very well indeed, and in modified form are much more effective than any TLR, no matter how much has been spent.'" are you serious???? I am looking at an 86 RTL now. Am I smoking crank?

    • @humourless682
      @humourless682 11 месяцев назад

      @@pinsxthree I would suggest avoiding RTLs unless you are looking for a collectable. Very overpriced, parts difficult, and not that competitive. If you are into 4Ts and want to compete, a modified TLR is a better choice.
