I just bought the BMW i3 Rex and the Rex saved my life. Had to travel from Carmel Indiana to Crown Point Indiana. Only 2 Electrify america stations. One worked, the other was down to 1 out of 6 working and I was 4 the in line. Had to go to a hotel nearby and charged for free. Took an hour and a half but it was enough to get me home along with 2 fill-ups in my tiny engine.
People underestimate how new the charging infrastructure is. I drove to Egg Harbor a few weeks ago and there is practically NOTHING between Chicago and there.
I just called insurance company and my insurance is going slightly down from my previous 2018 Prius Prime. My new BMW i3 has less miles. I thought it would go up, pleasantly surprised 🤗
In Europe, picked up a used i3 in like-new condition with a new battery for $13K, and we can charge at home. Distances are shorter, car will mostly be around town. About the only cost, charging and range scenario I could see to own an EV. Used Tesla's are dime-a-dozen as people here are dumping them for under $20K ....
Dealers need more EV-specific training, and to be more open with and informative towards new buyers. Buyers should also do their own research and try to understand more about what they need and want, and create a shortlist before they actually take a buying decision.
How so? I love my i3 and drive it a lot, but it’s true that there are challenges that I’ve highlighted in the video. Clearly I’m not against the EVs if you want the video
Honesty always works... Electricity the future... Mmmm??? As there are not nearly enough minerals in the world to make batteries how will the masses be supplied? EVs are a stepping stone... Not the future.
Yoo, chill, there is way enough minerals! Where did you get that from? Unfortunately a country like Iran sits on a huge pile of lithium for example. Even the deposits aren't completely mapped. It's actually about mining industry keeping up with the demand. And lastly, the lithium is not a must in batteries. Everything is not so black and white my friend.
It seems EV owners don‘t choose a car based on their lifestyle, they choose an EV and adjust their lifestyle to the car.

I paid $14,500 for my 2014 i3 Rex. Got $5000 back for my car, it was a good deal!
Not a bad deal! Enjoy it, learn all the quirks and have fun!
Just purchased a 2023 Prius. Is beautiful and 35k

Maybe in 25 years
I am completely convinced that I will not be getting a EV / AV Anxiety Vehicle in the near future.
This is great for learning about what to expect when getting an EV!
Great video! Thank you so much for bringing up these great points!

It’s just not for you … 😊
