That annoying practice of drivers going under the limit and then speeding away at passing lanes happens in Australia as well Josh. It's one of those universal things.
I am convinced that many car drivers don't look down at their speedometer ever at all. They don't look at signs either. They just drive whatever feels good to them.
i used to haul a triple road train from Townsville to Perth return. There's nothing worse than a caravan pretending to be a snail when there's deadlines to make. An hr lost on the highway is an hr lost at home. love ya work Josh. I'm local these days, so seeing your streams reminds me, that i dont wanna be out there.
Like it, i was a Truckdriver until 08/2022, now i am retired, i drove a semi liquid oxygène thé last years of my Carrera in de french alps, keep on Trucking and stay save, keep on making these films, sometimes miss it a bit, rudy
That driving habit drives me nuts! I run into people like that every day on my commute to work . Most traffic wants to do 95 kilometres per hour and you get the one guy doing 80 holding people up and then someone thinks they can pass ten cars and a truck on a 2 lane highway very dangerous. The cause of many accidents on hwy 3 in southern Ontario
I think it’s all about being comfortable. They may not be comfortable or scared of the highway, but on a regular town road they are comfortable. Especially if they live in that town.
I've witnessed the under-speed/over-speed thing quite a bit down here, as well. I see mainly SUVs and minivans doing 50mph on the interstate, and then also 50 mph through residential neighborhoods. It's my belief that these vehicles must only have a 2-position stop/go switch instead of the more traditional brake and accelerator pedals we've become used to.
Praying for your safety throughout the coming winter Josh. Another great vlog as always. I'm with you as I like just a little snow to make things look pretty and for Christmas but not anything over a foot deep. I know that is silly considering I am from the badger state and we get more than a few feet each winter. Lol. Here is to well paying loads, a well running engine and keeping the rubber on the road. God Bless you always.
Hi Josh, I definitely feel your frustration with drivers that don’t pay attention to the speed limits and maintain a constant pace. It does happen here in Scotland too. 😂 Keep it between the lines and drive safely as you do👍🏻
Catching up to a four wheeler on a four lane freeway, pulling into the left lane to pass, get alongside the (stupid) four wheeler, only to have them speed up as soon as I get alongside of them. Happens EVERY DAY. Drives my out of what little is left of my mind.
I like how you entertain yourself by make caricature on your steamed up truck window. You're quite a good cartoon artist. Drive safely on those snowy roads.
Its so cool to see ya running around The TRF Aria. I used to live up their but i moved back to southern MN in October. Used to drive those roads for a farmer i was working for hauling grain to the elevator just south of their. Been to that truck stop a time or two aswell. Never got to go to Canada while living up their though. Safe Travels Josh!
Work as much as you can now so you can spend more time at home once JJ (Josh Jr.) arrives. Stay safe. I keep an eye out for your around the Perimeter every time I'm on her...Keep the frost off your glass and the bears off your tail!
Love your video's Josh! RUclips suggested your channel a couple a days ago and I have been watching as I can. Totally enjoy watching as you battle the elements and then in #2654 you commented you like Ol Classic Twangy Country 👍Yah Dam Right Eh! Drive Safe and wave as you drive by Fergus Falls, MN
17:50 Between Calgary and Vancouver I could count more people doing what you described than I could people driving the speed limit. Drives (pun intended) me up the wall.
I've noticed that a lot over the years driving all over the place. I just happened across your channel in my suggestions and when I saw you truck around my area, I had to subscribe! If your ever near Bemidji again, hit up the cb on 19. I miss trucking, I'm thinking about getting back into it.
Trucker Josh. I loved watching your program. It reminds me of my time with the best company I was ever leased to. Cougar Fright Systems, The O/O department of Motorways. I stared with them doing as you do. Reginal work. Delivered in Edmonton. Called for a reload. Expecting to get lumber for Winnipeg. But John the dispatcher switched me to the American dispatchers. Was given a load to Cartersville Geogia. I was very surprised. Usually, a new hire was kept on regional for several months. I was both very excited and a little bit afraid. made sure I had a logbook. A driver at the old Regina Huskey house sitting at the counter that use to be there. Showed me how to fill this out. There was no such law in Canada at the time. God is good. I had no problems at all. Fact I don't remember a scale being opened all the way south until I came back to Canada going to Toronto. The boarder at Detroit / Winsor was a little scary. But in time I got very accustomed to all the crossings. This is what I consider the good old days. My time with Cougar. was very sad and handed in my license plates etc. Shortly after Tri Line bought us out. Natural after deregulation........................
Ps I also since a kid when on long trips thru small towns look at the houses and wonder who lives there how they live and what they do .Summers my brother in law had a big ranch in Kansas and we used to drive every year from LI NY also when I grew up drove from NY TO South tip of South America for fun take care stay safe and healthy
I feel your pain 😅 what really grinds my gears is 4 wheelers doing 10-15 under the speed limit. Either they’re on their phone or they really don’t know what the hell they’re doing 😂
Maybe it has something to do with the sight. Some people are nightblind. If the highway is dark they become insecure. And when they enter a town with streetlights they feel better with good sight and step on the gas. It is what it is. Stay safe this winter. greetings from the Netherlands.
Hi Canadian, I have to say it’s a beautiful scenery BUT I love my flip-flop year around , has always awesome video hi to Bri and baby bump, from Huntington Beach California.
Your rant starting at 16:00 is my biggest pet peeve EVER on the road. Here in central MN, we have several of those areas where there is a passing lane for roughly a mile. And people suddenly think it is the interstate and just step on it, and like you said, the moment it is gone they slow back down! Makes it impossible to pass a slow person, and so infuriating!!! I always make sure that, if I choose to go 2 mph over the speed limit, I keep that consistent no matter the speed limit. Gosh your rant got me all worked up again like I'm on the road dealing with it lol.
You sounded like Chris Farley when you started yelling at the snow! 😂 Also, yes, I notice idiots with those awful driving habits all the flipping time. 😑
Some free advice. Why don’t you keep your tarps in your sleeper when you aren’t using them. ? Stuff them the same hole where the mattress came out. Then they won’t freeze. 🤭
It happens all the the time in newfoundland and wanna say thank you for the videos. I started driving class 1 doing regional work now hoping to go long haul when i get the experience keep up the good work and keep on trucking
My theory about the slow/fast drivers is that they aren't paying the attention a defensive driver should be. Then they come to a passing lane which suddenly reminds them they are in the vehicle, and they speed up. After a while they drift back to their passive state, and slow down again. You just know if they had an accident, they would never see it coming!
Hya iam watching your vlogs a long time and appreciate them since iam a Doctor in computer science and did programming on youtube many years ago yours is entertaining and you explain things I watch about 30 channels in trucking industry and most have too much music also a bunch of dogs on the truck's I don't mind dogs etc but not when the most of the vlog is about dogs and not trucking keep up the good work
We get people doing that practice of sitting 15mph under the speed limit in England aswell josh its not just canad or the usa.stay safe bud life of a trucker is a pain
Here in the netherlands it happens also , people slow on highway and speeding in town, i think because they are a bit scared on the highway, and in a town there is light and then no fear anymore, if it happen much i use my airhorn...many times it works
I drive for a living in south east England and yes we have people who drive at 40 on a 60 limit road and then 40 in a 30 limit village. Life event: followed one of these for miles, he didn’t know there was a speed camera in the village and he got caught by it … doing 40 in a 30. Karma 🥳
That annoying practice of drivers going under the limit and then speeding away at passing lanes happens in Australia as well Josh. It's one of those universal things.
And in Denmark
And in Holland... they really don't know their own speeds I believe.....
And in the UK 🇬🇧 😡
I am convinced that many car drivers don't look down at their speedometer ever at all. They don't look at signs either. They just drive whatever feels good to them.
Nice tarp job Josh, looks like a big lunch box 😀.
If they can't do the speed limit please STAY HOME
Nice art work A+
Trucker Josh "The Snowman"
Wishing you 🌴🌴🌴🌴

Good night Josh. I hope you get a good nights rest. I hope you are staying warm.

The horn I get that a lot when passing kids and makes my day👍👍😍😂
I think it’s all about being comfortable. They may not be comfortable or scared of the highway, but on a regular town road they are comfortable. Especially if they live in that town.

Speed through a construction zone in Virginia and the state troopers WILL BE SAYING "HELLO, License, registration and proof of insurance please".😂😂😂 😂
That's some pretty impressive art work Josh 👌
Trucker Josh Ross...
Hi Josh, I definitely feel your frustration with drivers that don’t pay attention to the speed limits and maintain a constant pace. It does happen here in Scotland too. 😂 Keep it between the lines and drive safely as you do👍🏻

I miss summer so much already summer 2022 was crazy !!!
I'd probably drive over that rail bridge for the first time and think I was in the wrong place, like I'd have to back ALL THE WAY to the beginning 😆
Speeding up on passing lanes, yep happens often.
I like how you use "a ton" as a metaphor for very very much when in reality a ton is very little. ps love your videos.
The belt digs into the belly I definitely know about that
First video... already enjoying your channel
That Tarp System is pretty awesome as long as a person knows how to use it, like you do.
Thanks!
Thanks! Fun to watch and listen to you. From Ontario, Canada.
17:50 Between Calgary and Vancouver I could count more people doing what you described than I could people driving the speed limit. Drives (pun intended) me up the wall.
Happy face looks like Wilson in Cast Away 😀

I LOVE UR CHANNEL
Indeed, this bad habit is evidently more annoying for truckers than for regular drivers, yet we are also encountering them here in Eastern Canada.
Lol they are American hosers eh Josh lol take off eh it's a beauty way to go
I see it everyday also Josh. Idk what the heck people are thinking but you are not alone in your little rant hahaha stay safe brother....
I feel your pain 😅 what really grinds my gears is 4 wheelers doing 10-15 under the speed limit. Either they’re on their phone or they really don’t know what the hell they’re doing 😂
I have always enjoyed watching your videos. I am glad your wife lets you do videos at home
Good show Josh! Thanks!
Because in the city there`s street lights .... so he can see....😆
The worst of the worst are the ones that pull out in front of you because they don’t want to follow a truck and then slow you down.
Love video hate round about to be careful this winter can't wait to see baby.
Maybe it has something to do with the sight. Some people are nightblind. If the highway is dark they become insecure. And when they enter a town with streetlights they feel better with good sight and step on the gas. It is what it is. Stay safe this winter. greetings from the Netherlands.
The snow. Efforts everyone.
Catching up after a bit of a break, good to see you are still at it. Cheers from down under. 😁

been watching you since you drove your 2013 Peterbilt 386
You sounded like Chris Farley when you started yelling at the snow! 😂

That issues you raise with the cars and thier speed im sure is a prerequisite for getting a licence here in New Zealand. Stay safe mate :)
It happens all the the time in newfoundland and wanna say thank you for the videos. I started driving class 1 doing regional work now hoping to go long haul when i get the experience keep up the good work and keep on trucking
14:35 I'm a CAT guy, gimme a 3406e and I'm a happy man, but man, that ISX sounds so good!

We get drivers like that all the time where I live in Australia
All the time on 17 Northern Ontario. Even have trucks speed up on me in the passing lane.
Looking good buddy!!
To be a doctor you have to have patients, too. 😆
Night Josh
Hya iam watching your vlogs a long time and appreciate them since iam a Doctor in computer science and did programming on youtube many years ago yours is entertaining and you explain things I watch about 30 channels in trucking industry and most have too much music also a bunch of dogs on the truck's I don't mind dogs etc but not when the most of the vlog is about dogs and not trucking keep up the good work

No you aren’t the only one that’s experienced that Josh it has happened to me more then I can count.
I'm just here to improve the algorithm
be thankful your not living in the Buffalo - Erie PA area, some areas 5-6 feet.
Be.safe.travelling
iy is like in ontario hy17 you just said it with the passing lane i truck logs on hy 17 often and it is a night mare
yep - seen it. Go slow on two lane. Then go like the dickens when they reach a passing lane. I cannot comprehend why they do that.
Those people aren't paying any attention to the posted speed. They're just driving the conditions as they see them.
We get people doing that practice of sitting 15mph under the speed limit in England aswell josh its not just canad or the usa.stay safe bud life of a trucker is a pain
