I'm writing a book and I can only say that I'm using only their, The Paper Kites', Mumford and Sons's, Of Monster and Men's, The Lumineers', The Crane Wives' and Sea Wolf's music. Oh, and one song from Cosmo Sheldrake.
"Lay Me Down" lyrics Fire and brimstone fell upon my ears As their throats of open graves recited fear Like the bullets of a gun they drove my tears And my feet to run the hell out of here See, I was born a restless, wayward child I could hear the whole world calling me outside Of the masses I routinely sat behind And Lord, I had to see with my own eyes Take me home I want to go Down the road that will take me To the living oak And Lord, I know That I'm a weathered stone But I owe it to my brothers To carry them home Take me home I want to go Down the road that will take me To the living oak And Lord, I know It's a heavy load But we'll carry our brothers Oh, we'll carry them home And oh, there is no power on Earth or below That could ever break our hearts or shake our souls And when you lay me down, you'll only bury bones 'cause oh, my heart and soul are going home
I've been greatly struggling with religious faith lately and this song has been helping me immensely and has been such a fantastic outlet for me to have when in a bad episode. I love this song sm, bless
@@sparkyferrum554 I don't know how you are doing today, but doubts are of course all right. All they will do is make your faith stronger as you get past them. It's how you get to the truth, through struggle :).

True art. It is beautiful. Thai shows how I thing art and music are one of mans most important and emotionally vital things we have invented. They can do any number of things.
I know this is an old comment, but in case you were still looking for it, it is on an EP Album! "The Oh Hellos EP" which I think was their first released one? :3
I love how the real creators just get copytighted by posting their music on youtube on their own youtube channel and not the youtube's one like "pepito grillo- theme"
I kind of miss this simple period of the Oh Hellos, before albums had to shoulder a world of interconnected symbolism and uneasy doubt. Not that the new period is anything less than awe-inspiring. But it feels like getting lost in an alien land, and this feels like something you could live in.
how do i do loop DX i love this song soooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo muchhhhhh
I don't wish to take any stance aside from that which encourages you to try and reassess what you may be hearing by M&S, this song, and perhaps other music similar to these. First, personally I find so many differences in each song from musicality to lyricism. Secondly, and I'd say most importantly, if you are hearing the same thing over and over it is most likely an imperative concept or point the universe is sharing with you until the connection is noticed, appreciated, and reciprocated.
I will fight anyone who says you're copying because the song has been used before ((especially when it's a song as amazing as this one is that needs to be seen by more people))

that is a very specific vibe. sounds dope.
That's is very specific and I love it. Looking forward to that vibe.
One important question.
Will I cry?
Drop us a reply when you're done! Best of luck!
I love all of those bands so very much!! Tell us when it's released! (ps I think you'd like First Aid Kit)
You have my exact music taste lol, may I ask which Cosmo song?
"Lay Me Down" lyrics
Fire and brimstone fell upon my ears
As their throats of open graves recited fear
Like the bullets of a gun they drove my tears
And my feet to run the hell out of here
See, I was born a restless, wayward child
I could hear the whole world calling me outside
Of the masses I routinely sat behind
And Lord, I had to see with my own eyes
Take me home
I want to go
Down the road that will take me
To the living oak
And Lord, I know
That I'm a weathered stone
But I owe it to my brothers
To carry them home
Take me home
I want to go
Down the road that will take me
To the living oak
And Lord, I know
It's a heavy load
But we'll carry our brothers
Oh, we'll carry them home
And oh, there is no power on Earth or below
That could ever break our hearts or shake our souls
And when you lay me down, you'll only bury bones
'cause oh, my heart and soul are going home
:)
I love how this references second child, restless child god I just love their music so much
This song came out a year before Second Child, Restless Child so you’ve got the order wrong; Second Child referenced this song.
@@a.morphous66 alternatively, this song foreshadowed Second Child, Restless Child.
I can’t believe I’ve been sleeping on this music for 10 years!! This is so good, underrated but understandable in this day and age.
I've been greatly struggling with religious faith lately and this song has been helping me immensely and has been such a fantastic outlet for me to have when in a bad episode. I love this song sm, bless
Doubts are okay, don't feel bad for them.
Hitomi Iwahana thanks so so much

Music is a great way to grow closer to the Lord. They all make me cry tho
it’s good to doubt your most strongly held beliefs, cus if those beliefs are right you’ll come out the other end still believing them
Me: Damn this song is good.
Brain: Yep, you know what that means.
Me: *sigh* we play it...
Brain: WE PLAY IT TILL WE HATE IT!
Every damn time
Which means we play it forever because this song is a *BOP*
The only song of theirs I managed to overplay for myself is hello my old heart, and even that one I still love
This is one of my favorite songs to listen to on road trips
Absolutely unreal underground band beauty sound soo impressed

Omg I know! This was one of their first songs I think. They're on tour now!
I know this is an old comment, but in case you were still looking for it, it is on an EP Album! "The Oh Hellos EP" which I think was their first released one? :3
Heard just recently at the close of the movie The Middle Distance, great song.

Style, but its only vague@@mothbrainedindividual
Imagine
I'm imagining them, what do I do now?
@@greenkitty1 Wel, i do nou
I want what you're smoking.
This is just more Mumford & Sons, but with a girl singer. It's good until you hear the same damn song 15 times on an album.
