Renee, I must tell you that I have enjoyed watching your videos and getting to know you and your family. I think I can say that I think you would miss your business if you sold it. Have you thought about finding a manager or a partner to run the business and remaining the owner or co-owner? That way that person could run it and you could come and go as you pleased. I'm sure you enjoy it the majority of the time but get tired of being the sole person all the time. Thank you for sharing.
My question for the next q&a: How was it dating as a single mom? Did priorities change? Was it easier finding some who wanted to be a dad because they knew you already had a kid? Was it scarier getting married the second time? (Only if you feel like answering, if it’s too personal just ignore.)
What I learned from this video is that you realize when something isn't working for you and then you change it and move on. That is such a good quality to have. It sounds easy to do but it isn't always. I admire you for that.

Thank you for keeping religion, politics and money out of this. Too many people use those three topics to gang up on others and continue the “us vs them” narrative into infinity. Good to have a safe space like your channel.
I've also noticed Renee won't leave mean or incendiary posts in the comments, she removes them. One woman named Inge clearly wanted to provoke---and about something really stupid, as these troublemakers always do. The comment was deleted presumably by Renee, and if so, I commend her for not permitting any ugliness to infiltrate her comments section. I only wish more uploaders would exercise the same diligence.

What a great video Renee. I have always applauded your honesty and today video once you tackled all of our questions. The one shocker is you are selling your beloved Craving The Curls shop ... I did not see that coming, but I totally understand how demanding that must be. I am pretty sure you will be busy getting into a new venture and wish you well whatever that might be. Renee, I stumbled onto your channel a few days ago and you are really an inspiration! Love hearing you speak and you are so interesting. You are right on about having a happy marriage. I am right there with you. Forgiveness and acceptance just about covers all relationships. Yes, I believe in God, treating others with kindness,but, debating the denominations doesn’t interest me. My faith is a big part of me and I hope people will always see that in the way I live. I look forward in watching where your life takes you next. Maybe a podcast or writing a book. What an opportunity for someone who is healthy and energetic to purchase your ice cream shop. And to have you show them the ropes so they can carry on your successful tradition and name (if they choose). There was a time in my husband’s and my life where we would have jumped at the chance and he could still play his country music, with a little blue grass flair. Hi Renee, I am a new follower of your channel and really enjoyed this Q and A, even though it’s and older one I learned many things about you and your lifestyle! When you brought up your husband’s blood clot my ears perked up and I showed it to my husband, he had two huge PE’s in 2023 that were luckily caught early enough to save his life, but he wanted me to ask how soon after the Covid vaccine did he have the blood clot? My husband was more or less forced to get it, or lose his job, when he was in civil service at an Air Force base in Illinois. Anywho, glad all is well in your world and thanks for sharing your life with us! 😊

Essentially, he got the doses of vaccine in April and May...and developed the blood clot on June 7th which resulted in a heart attack. All is well now except he must take blood thinners for the rest of his life.
Thank you for your quick response, I appreciate it! My husband’s PE’s were well after his vaccination and booster shots, so his may have been from different circumstances, he will also be on blood thinners for life! I will check out that video to get up to date. 😊

I love your decide to be happy comment. My amazing Dad passed at the age of 95 ,6 years ago. I always remember he use to say "somebody has to be happy... and you have to decide its you!" I am now 72, and I honestly can say... my dad was the most positive, happy person I have ever met in my life! Whenever life gets tough, I still think.. how would Daddy handle this. What a great gift he left me.

Hi Jan! After my ice cream shop is sold.....I'm going to take a long deep breath and relax for a while. I want a normal life...go out to dinner on a Saturday night, take weekend trips if I want to, not work 7 days a week, and just enjoy being with my husband for a while (of course on the beach 🏖)

I only hope that the "infomercial/influencer" videos stay seperate from your main channel. (Except for the products that YOU purchase, use, and decide to share with us). I hope you are able to sell the shop in a timely manner and are not constantly "on call" by the new owner(s) the same way that your were with your franchise. 🥰🥰🥰 (BTW- once you sell, will the new owner have franchise rights?)

I'm just beginning intermittent fasting and I'm a fan of yours since tripping on your posts a couple weeks ago .
My fiancé is noticing he's gained a few pounds and ge wants to start intermittent fasting like I'm doing . This is starting to stress me a bit because I eat like a bird anyway. However, I'm afraid he won't get enough food to keep him healthy and he's a small-framed man and only 5'4" .
If one looses all the weight , where's the stopping point to maintain and HOW fo you maintain KEEPING the weight OFF? Or..... is fasting you do for the rest of your life ?
Also, I recently was checking nutrition labels in my fridge . Our mayonnaise does not list sugar under the nutrition list . However, it says in the ingredients list, showing sugar IS one of the ingredients! So what is that all about ? I thought EVERYTHING had to be listed in the ingredients 💁♀️

I was my mom’s Kendal seventy years ago, and know first hand how difficult it was for her, but she met a man who became my Dad, and I can honestly say I was loved and cared for without ever a hint that I was not his. Blessings on both of you for creating a family as close as you all obviously are.
You and your mom were so lucky because even in the 1970s, a considerable number of young men still only wanted biological children. For the longest time, there was a stigma against unwed or divorced mothers, along with skittish men who either really didn't want to become instant daddies or worse--simply outright refused to raise another man's child, regardless of why the natural father wasn't in the picture. At the time, a man who took on the role of dad right away was uncommon, making him a darn good catch and a definite keeper you didn't let go of. As I said, lady luck shined on you two. 🍀

Hi Nancy! Randy can't recall the brand name....but he gets it at Lowes. It's a granule that he spreads over the year (spring-fall). After he spreads it out then he has to lightly water the lawn so it will dissolve. After a few hours and it's dry...then it's safe for the dogs to go out.

I'm a dog person too and recently lost one of my 3. She was a Schnoodle girl and passed at almost 16 and I still cry for her. Your pups are just adorable!❤️❤️
My husband's family is from eastern Kentucky. We only went once to his mom's funeral. It was so different & mountain folk. They were lovely people! 💖

I recently found your channel and just love your videos! Your personality and zest for life are so uplifting! Good for you for realizing that it is time for you to sell your ice cream shop. I am almost 56 and decided a few years ago to retire from dental hygiene after 28 years. I didn't enjoy doing it anymore and it was causing me a lot of stress and anxiety. I am proud of myself for making this change in my life and am proud of you for doing the same. It isn't always easy to make these decisions but our health and well being make it so worth it. That was awesome. I'm really happy for you Renée and your decision to sell. I think your timing is perfect. They say "A lady always knows when it's time to leave. ~ Fried green tomatoes" and you are a lady with a capital L. I was forced into an early retirement because of a spine injury that left me disabled. I hated leaving my chosen profession (x-ray) because I loved it. But seeing how healthcare's face continues the change for the worse makes me extremely happy to no longer be a part of it. You can walk away happy, light and with peace. I love this for you. I love my life now...I'm no longer a slave to an alarm clock and I get to choose what I want to do and where I want to go. Freedom to live and freedom to choose are all good and awesome things. Congrats!

Loved finding out more about you and your life that you haven't touched on before. When you said you were selling, was my face 😯. Literally. I must say I kind of saw it coming because a few videos back you were having to work 4 days straight at the shop and you looked so tired and out of energy. So the thought went thru my mind. Guess we won't get there before you sell to meet you. Last year we were so busy and this year the gas $$. I was shooting for 2023. But I still would like to visit Paducah as it's such a nice looking place.

I hear enough of it from the news , Facebook, and people in my life even those which I agree with sometimes it just makes me weary ! I like to watch youtube videos during my downtimes .....often if someone starts talking about a hot politic topic I will just click off even if I agree with them.
