Watched the beginning, then skipped to the end to see if this FL grew some Brain and left this Scumbag, sadly she stayed 😢. Mostly we blame the SFL but I wholly blame the ML for being muddleheaded and led by his Privates, you'd think as a Emperor, he got there by being sightful, logical and just? This Beginning tells you all you need to know, you don't go back to someone who pushed you to suicide, you forgive and move on or let yourself get sent in that famous Cold Palace where you'll have your peace of Mind 😂.
It's because FL is not the one who suffered in the beginning so she doesn't really understand the pain. It's sad that if you're not scheming you will be dead like the original owner, it's true that emperors only see evidence so if you just keep quiet and cry, no defense means you accept death easily
@shraddhasharma392 forgiveness is good for the Soul, forgetting is another thing altogether. After experiencing that kind of misery you leave, but I can understand as the future Empress she can't leave but she can let herself get demoted to concubine and sent to the Cold Palace 😅.

For me, if you didn't experience the pain 1st hand even if you understand the story you don't exactly Know the pain.
Also my opinion, this ML is not inflicting physical abuse to queen, he is also manipulated but not abusive so I'm kind of agreeing that they should be together. The evil here is where we should point fingers. Whereas other ML in other dramas are abusive that's where I think forgive and forget is impossible.
