My aunts Brenda and Monica were in Central London to watch the 1st London New Year fireworks that year. Also, I spent that night with my parents at our apartment in Whitton (13.4 miles from London). While my uncle Kevin and family attended a house party in Wendover, Buckinghamshire (39.8 miles from London).
I'm actually happy the Dome is still here, to symbolise the 2000s, a welcoming era, I feel that the 2000s was a belief of prosperity and possibility. And that is something that people strived for. With alot of heart. Today it has reduced down too wellbeing and affirmative infulencers. These were human and great time. By heart ❤️
I had just returned to London from South West France, where we were caught in a hurricane which was very shocking. The trees in the forest near La Rochelle have still not recovered to this day. London Today/ Tonight was superb. Richard Gaisford was/ is a great reporter alongside others from LNN, and Anna Maria Ashe was an accomplished presenter. Ditto Alistair Stewart and Mary Nightingale. Watching this is nostalgic and sad for a number of reasons. It is a salutary reminder of the passage of time and a source of sadness over those who have departed in the years since.

just watching this now ... wow just makes me feel so nostalgic and start thinking about life
Brings back happy memories when I last had a family party with my mum and dad and my old primary school friends and their parents

Those times seem relatively innocent compared to now. I can't believe time has flown by so fast. God help us.Shalom.
