I have to say, the confidence to paint without putting down tape, amazing, just amazing.
You can rewet and sponge the mud so it does not make dust.
I do my own home renovations because I live far from everybody and don’t have the patience to wait for when they have time to come over and help. It makes me pretty happy to see this videos. Happy vlogmas.
I think a little sharpie on that fan will be sufficient. As long as you have a decent colour match no one will notice from a distance.
Love that you guys are so handy! All my favourite things, LOL, patching painting and eating, hooray! Sorry, can't help but think what fun it's going to be to get a tub all the way up those stairs hahaha. There will be sweating and cursing... But it will be so worth it in the end. Merry Christmas!
Kris if you go to Home Depot they have markers for wood that you can just color in that little nic in the fan, you won't have to worry about paint. The markers come in different shades of brown, they might come in a pack, check it out easier than paint.😀

Fan blade repair can be as simple as a black Sharpie or Plastic Wood filler, sanding and the Sharpie.
Alas memories of the second full-time job making your house a home. It brings a sense of pride and accomplishment.

Super inspiring attention to detail, I loved your earlier deck with light snow ❄️ sighting. Have you guys seen, "What the Bleep do I Know?", the segment in that I loved was the one with how words effect the formation of chrystals in water, beautiful words created beautiful formations.

Idk if u already painted the fan or anything but for future knowledge there some paint markers that can match wood colors that are sold at home depot

I just moved and I want to paint but going to put it off until the summer. I wish I had the energy Kristen has.
Plus wrap wet paint brushes in plastic and or rollers , put them in the fridge. Then use them the next day without cleaning them.
Just a little bit of info. If you buy a shop vac and hook it to your sander it will collect most of the dust from said sander. You can buy a attachment to hook your vac into your sander. They are rather inexpensive ( also use a bag in the vacuum, it makes clean up much easier). Just trying to help. You are doing a fantastic job!

They make these markers to fill in a ding in “wood” it won’t fill the ding in the fan but it will hide it.
Wood filler will probably work or a all purpose filler

Painting angled walls is a very tedious job. Took your time and did a nice job, only next time wear a mask while sanding. Looking forward to more DIY vlogs.
