- Old Anvil Speedshop has become one of my favorite builders around because of the engineering behind the company. Paul, owner/builder has an engineering background and understand suspension/chassis geometry as good as anyone out there which makes for truly great driving vehicles no matter the set up. This LS powered "shop truck" is a perfect cruiser that not only looks and sounds great but could be daily driven so sit back and enjoy the ride...

Something about old trucks screaming down the road and laying frame is the best vehicle in my eyes
💯
I love em too
This is the perfect type of owner/fabricator combo I love to hear from. No sales pitch, just passion and facts 👍👍👍
Best part about this truck, my man used convo pros, spectacular!
Center Line’s 💪🏼
Something cool about that 66 Rusty Sleeper Barn Find look on the outside and when you open the hood ….it’s 2024😎
Very cool
Can't wait to see him progress and see future builds
Same here. His team is doing killer work
Badass. This guy has built some of the nicest and prettiest rods around and this is what he builds for his cruiser👍 People that see that going down the road probably think “look, a lowered old farm truck with 1980s American Racing wheels”. They couldn’t be more wrong. I actually learned quite a bit just from his interview without him going into detail and having to show anything. This guy has a wealth of knowledge on chassis setup. I worked in the NASCAR industry till 2003 so hearing some of his inside info on it brought back some memories. Awesome vid. Thanks for this one.
Paul is a cool great and knows what he’s talking about. His understanding of suspension and chassis geometry is very impressive
My favorite gen of all time. My dad has a 56 but I love this model.
Right turn Clyde
Love how this guy kept it looking original on the exterior and subtly refined everything hidden to make it gel as a daily driver. Bright guy. Thanks for shring.
completely agree with u. this is sweet build.
This is the shop I would want to build my car! Plus he’s running 15s, got to love it!
I love that they build drivers not “show cars”
Love it!! I built and own a 66 C10 Resto Mod. Love the sound of the 3" exhaust!!
Love it! I been looking for someone to take my 62 stepside to and I think I found the guy. I from the the OC and am close to them. Thanks for the video!
I highly recommend a visit with Paul & Old Anvil
you cant go wrong with Old Anvil Team. They are legit and in the city of Orange. Paul and Jenna are great owners and run amazing company.
Another nice truck love the C10 thanks Sean…..
This guy is a genius
Yes he is
I've been following these guys for a while , top notch, innovative stuff all the way.
Great shop building cool vehicles
Nice build...
I just wanted to say, I love Dave. That dude’s style and sense of humor is impressive. “I didn’t realize it was a Chevy, I’ll get something to catch the oil.” 😂
Awesome truck by the way….
These episodes are getting better and better🥺🙏🏾🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
The coolest owners of a badass shop i’ve ever meet. Love ya guys Paul and Jenna keep doing what you guys do ..
Nice c10 👍👍👍👍
Wow the fact all those parts are made in house as mind blowing and the logo looks dope!! I wish I had a shop similar local to me but old anvil is definitely a one in a million shop
One the best car content channels period. Keep them coming. Awesome work
Thank you. Wait til you see the drift truck vid this Friday coming up!
Slick build. That truck looks great!
Dude lovethis body big back window love the old school combo Pros thanks for the cool OK later bro
Such a cool shop truck! Love it
Well, we have another fine shop that does exceptional work in house fabrication ...something I will always have huge respect for. You can't go wrong with old trucks I never get tired of this.....I hope to see more of vehicles like this !
Cool dude,
I just went on Old Anvil TV. They do a very good job. The "900hp Hemi-Powered 1968 Charger for the Al Sloniker Memorial Award at the 2024 Grand National Roadster Show" is superb. It seems that there is Mister Davis at the end of the video. Best and good continuation!
That intro is on point!
Our editor Kyle crushing it again
Ship it i love it
I always look forward to watching some autotopia after work. Good job Sean
Simple and clean build. This vintage air control panel is pretty cool. Great episode. Greetings
That truck is nastyyy🔥🔥🔥
Yes it is 😎
after your channel I want a c10 build.... you are making my future life more expensive Shawn
I hear ya! It’s painfully obvious I need to figure out to be very rich!
67??? That’s the next gen Shawn😉 Cool big window truck and that frame and drivetrain are sweet! It’s amazing how popular these trucks have become. Back in high school there was a sweet 64 stepside that a guy had. My dad had a 66 long bed and a 65 4x short bed, unfortunately he had to unload both to put a down payment on his first house. All these trucks inspired my love for these trucks and I’m working on a 61 that I hope to drive soon. Keep the cool vehicles coming!
Cool builds from these guys and we’ll shooting more with Paul soon. Lots more to show
Great Build, truck vintage look is awesome.
found my new fav channel
Awesome! Watch out…the rabbit hole goes deep lol!
Shawn another Good one.. If this Truck Was Mine" Id Paint it Brand New White...nice truck...😅
Really cool “shop truck” he built
@@AutotopiaLA 👻
As always enjoyed the show!! Thanks so much..
Love it Own the 65 Chevy custom camper pick up. ❤ Those trucks came with 327, 300 horse 2 speed automatic originally did he keep the original motor 😁👍👍🤙
Seeing these engineers build well balanced stuff is incredible- so many (me) suffered from Frankensteining great parts, that may not go too well together.
I like a lot about this truck. One thing I’m impressed with is the ORIGINAL patina. I don’t get going to the trouble to paint imitation patina when you could use the same time and $ to put a really nice paint job on a vehicle.
Great work Sean can't wait to see what else they have
I love old trucks. This is just awesome. Sounds great. Hope he keeps the paint like it is. Looks soo cool.
Very cool truck! 👍👍
Wow man so many good things to say about the whole video..
Thanks!!
He is so correct about speaking the mathematics of the auto, so much math included with redoing these cars. When you watch Texas Metal a lot of math is involved.
Tuning in from Buffalo, New York.
Cool looking '66 Chevy C10.
Yeah…tough truck for sure
@@AutotopiaLA No doubt. I wouldn't mind driving that C10.
@@TheTheboomwearcompan it would probably be a daily for me
@@AutotopiaLA Same here that C10 is cool.
11:28-11:33 Just ran out of words I see.....😂😂😂
My high school truck for me with a 383 and 456 in the rear. Miss that truck! I have tried to find it so I can buy it back but no luck! Nice truck!
How’d u like the 4:56?
Love the engineering skills,,nice biuld
Awesome shawn........ Great job buddy......... Greetings from india🇮🇳🤠🤠🤩🤩🤘🏻🙌
Nice!
This truck is outstanding. I would love to rock an old truck (nothing like this) for the simple reason of less electronics and not worrying so much about what might happen to it parked on the street like I do with a modern truck.
sweet truck
Awesome craftmens ship that truck.
I had a 65 pickup that looked like this one. I put a fiberglass tilt front-end on it and built a 400 Pontiac motor i got out of a early Trans Am. Really nice street rod and i kept it about 20 years but sold it.
That's just cool.
Nice 66
Cool truck
Definitely
Freaking cool truck.
Utilitarian beauty
Love a truck
Hermosa Chevy 👍👍
When he said i got a box to catch the oil I felt that
Dave gives grief on anything not Ford lol!
Thanks I needed that awesome content AZ USUAL
Love your work Shawn , keep it up the good work, he should check out summit racing for a good 4l60 there own brand has put so many smiles on my face
Must install shoulder harnesses
Sweeeet 🤘
AZ USUAL AWESOME CONTENT FOR ALL YOU CAR 🚙 Automobile 🚘 stuffs Al MANOA VALLEY ALOHA BRADA keep up the great work yeah you Hawaiians easy easy ALOHA
C10s are like Honda's. They come a dime a dozen. You see them constantly here in California.
Hold on a minute...... Is Dave, aka @blkors, getting a kickback using his driveway ? lol
Shh…he doesn’t want anyone to know lol
You must trust this guy's shop to drive around with no shoulder belts after that accident video I saw recently.
I do. I prefer more but trust his build completely
@@AutotopiaLA Glad this drive went well, and glad you're on the mend.
@@Pure_KodiakWILD_Power almost 600 vids and 1 incident…thanks
Never had them in the first place?
A Ford guy worried about dropping oil 😅
Looked like ultimate headers to me. Maybe they just used the flange?
F Yeah
lets blow it up and Geta third pedal!
Yes!
Oops...I ve got a 88 C4 front suspension that I want to put on my 56 3100 using a flatout kit. Yeh its probably not the perfect way, but it has to at least drive a bit better than the original setup😅
👍💯😎💯👍
To be fair replacing suspension with something 30+ years newer might not be right (geometry wise) but its not wrong in terms of upgrading over standard old truck parts.
Do you know what short block means?
A engine without the heads.
...at one point in a past relationship, I had 3, THREEEE shortbed fleetside '65-'66 Chevy pickup projects, and 1 slammed '66 daily.... Crazy bitch sold all but my daily for scrap and cleaned out the house while I was OTR in my rig. . . .smh . ya live and ya learn. lol #hotandsinglewomenaredangerous
Ouch
NEAT TRUCK , BUT THE BACK SITS A LITTLE LOW
Not into the slammed look, but nice build
In certain settings like this I think that look is cool but I hear ya
@AutotopiaLA Being from the south we like lowered, but not slammed. I have a 66 Stepside, and I think I'm going with a 2/4 drop.👍
Get that Chevy out-a-ear? Something had to tow the ford's home.
Simple & strong are all 60's beast, now days weak & sophisticated Long live fossil fuels
First🎉❤🎉❤🎉🎉❤
Boom!!
Bad rat rod traks you
Perfect truck except the ass needs to be 1 to 2 inches above the front,a lil rake, looks carolina squattish in its current form.
Loud slow and rusty
wow look. an old truck slammed to the ground on air ride. I've never seen that before 🙄
Stupid people say stupid things.
@@baibureh8816 Yup it either hate or seatbelt police. Why even post lol
I like the cars that are being shown but the host just seems so novice for the amount of interviews he has done.
Stop cutting longbeds!
There again, there's nothing unique about this truck . it's lowered. It's got a modern drive train under it .and its Begged. And it has patina, so do a 1000 other trucks.👎
This one sucked
Sorry to disappoint…check back in this Friday to see a wild drift truck throwing it around
That's just cool.
