Hi Joe. Good to see the sun is shining. Looks to be a good show. The Whitlock loader/backhoe was designed by a Scotsman from Fife. It was originally made under license in Essex by the Whitlock Brothers. They had previously made loader/backhoe attachments to be mounted on other tractors, as did Steelfab of Cardiff under the Horndraulic brand. They were competitors to market leader JCB. Whitlock Brothers were taken over by Powell Duffryn who also owned HY-MAC EXcavators. The 370C loader/backhoe-digger was then made along side the 580C tracked (crawler) excavator the market leader and rebranded in Rhymney S.Wales. There are quite a few doing the show circuit. There is a rare STEELFAB 180/ loader/backhoe on the show circuit too. Many have copied the idea, but there is one and only one leader the, JCB loader/backhoe. 👍🏴🇺🇸
Those milk bottles were wide necked and were sealed with cardboard caps which had a hole in the middle you could push out. These were used by children to make bobbles for your hat from scrap wool!
Joe, started sub to you 2-3 wks ago as seen you on ollie, Charlotte's vids and so far really enjoying your stuff- ex dairy manager, so seeing your stock, feeding, some arable but mostly your happy up beat approach to everything. Well done.
Hello again Joe , I'm only just 30% these days. My lovely daughter who I told you about awhile back lost her battle with Cancer on Sunday morning. We are just heartbroken. 44 years old with 3 beautiful children. Life is not fair. She passed away while on holiday in the Canary Islands with her family. RIP 😢😢😢😢
You had it easy Joe, only been to Edinburgh once, drove up from Dorset with a rather buckled Audi TT on a truck, found a well known lodge to stay in over night, delivered car to a body shop then came back again
Alan Laidlaw said the other day on Cammy and Iona’s Fed by Farmers podcast that they got 217K people last year across the 4 days at the royal highland show.

Glad you put the Angel of the North and the bridges over the Tyne on your video. Left the North East for Australia 19 years ago

Whitlock were great according to my father, had a fair bit of power. The farm had one and then got rid of it for an old Ford that was pretty naff.
Cusworth Hall we dredged the lake?
You may be first but that was before you even watched it 😂
