BUT based off of the Mrs.Puff Theory we know that the writers include things for people to pay attention to and later evolve with it in later seasons, so some of Alex’s theory’s might not just be theories and actual part of canon. Of course, Nick isn’t gonna say it’s true, weather it is or not, but the evidence is there.

1: The reason there aren't any crabs in the bikini bottom is because they all live in spread out cities, to not ruin other crab's businesses. There was an episode where mr crabs goes to get an award for most greedy crab. This makes sense because crabs are very territorial creatures. 2: in the same episode it is shown that there are many different plankton that are all related to the main plankton.
Also if I remember correctly, mr Krabs had pulled out a projector of whales to scare all the plankton away, so he knows and has live footage of blue whales further supporting what this dude is saying

Imagine doing it for a paycheck and having to stick to a strict set of rules. You'd go stir-crazy if you didn't try to sneak SOMETHING through the censors just to freshen things up.
You have to wonder that since animals live shorter lives even in bikini bottom maybe the entire show takes place in modern history but since the bikini atoll tests happened 60 years ago, that may have been many more years for fish. So the SpongeBob characters advance much faster than humans. In one of the episodes mr krabs has sandy and spongebob go get fake ingrediants to create the patties but it was just to lead plankton on while mr krabs got the real stuff, maybe he needed no one around while he harvested some left over meat but he could have just closed the place, its possible that there’s more than just whale in the patty and thats why
Tbh, Plankton can also be possibly an additional recipe for Krabby Patties, since Planktons are a food source for Whales too. :l

You can get bored with writing just doing it for fun without a challenge. Imagine doing it for a paycheck and having to stick to a strict set of rules. You'd go stir-crazy if you didn't try to sneak SOMETHING through the censors just to freshen things up.
You have to wonder that since animals live shorter lives even in bikini bottom maybe the entire show takes place in modern history but since the bikini atoll tests happened 60 years ago, that may have been many more years for fish. So the SpongeBob characters advance much faster than humans. Soooooo the bikini atoll tests happened just before the prehistoric episode but since the fish evolve much faster than humans due to their short life spans, it only takes them 60 or so years to evolve to the state we see them in on the show.
