Yes, if you know how to use it, it's an excellent espresso maker. You can even argue it also has a "pressure profiling feature" that is missing in ridiculously expensive machines.
I am not sure about that, my dosing funnel leaves a "dip" of coffee on the rim of the basket, so I have to use the WDT after removing the dosing funnel. But maybe I bought the wrong dosing funnel...
I’ve tried 6 times now and the water just passes through somehow with no pressure at all, I’m using a c40 commandante set to 10 with 18g. Every time I pull the lever down it drops without even reaching 3bar and sprays coffee everywhere. Wasted so much coffee :(
maybe you didn't seat the portafilter properly... you need to firmly install it, I often push hard in order to not get coffee sprays I also want to ask too... Did you play with different grind settings? I think 10 setting with the C40 is too coarse for the 58.
@@EntekCoffee you're correct! I ended up somewhere around 7-8 but the difference was 30s, so I bought the red click upgrade and have now dialed it in, I'm not sure where I'm at click wise, but it's very fine, it has to be within 16 clicks now. I'll count another time and post back.
Hi, I see on the video that you don't screw in the chamber with the bolt. So is it a mandatory to tighten the chamber to its body with a screw so its don't move around ? Cool video btw 👍
Hi there. Do you have the 58 or the 58x? With the 58x you will be constantly removing and installing the chamber every time you brew, as you need to preheat it. So it makes no sense to bolt the chamber in place. Yes, it does move a little bit when you install the PF, but the movement is minimal and IMO can be ignored. Hope this helps...
No, I got mine in September. I believe the one that comes with a puck screen are sold October '21 or later. I don't know what difference it makes though, I have to experiment on it.
@@EntekCoffee It should stop puck expansion after the extraction form causing the puck to put coffee on the bottom of the chamber or even stick to it. It can also prevent fines from floating around above the coffee during extraction which can cause a muddly sludge to form on the top of the puck. Neither of these should affect the coffee, and both will depend on the bean and grind used.
Gimana maksudnya mas? Cocok nggak Flair 58x untuk Cafe? Jawabanya tidak terlalu karena perlu pre-heating. Kalau mau untuk cafe lebih baik beli yang non-X.
@@red2theelectricboogaloo961 Good answer, I should have ended with an exclamation mark. Didn't actually remember the video but surmise that, at that time, I was looking for information on the Flair and just wasn't expecting a video with no talking. Overreaction but it was honest! Been enjoying my Decent Espresso machine for two years now and if you ever get a chance to go to a demo, it's worth checking out. Many consider it the best machine on the market.
Flair 58x is the masterpiece. The espresso taste is good like using a machine.

Your shot looks epic!
You can use the WDT before removing the dosing funnel to reduce the chance of grounds spillage.

To stop dripping so much: lift the lever 👍
Thanks for the tip! I'll make sure I do it next time
