Protest hardly ever amount to anything other than a bunch of people annoying a bunch of other people who are just trying to get on with everyday living. The radical left has done this kind of thing for years. Occupy Wall Street, the Black Lives Matter (the radicals within it), etc. All were left-wing groups . . . and now this. The radical and emotional left simply does these kinds of protests that often result in vandalism, overstepping their boundaries (there are no absolutes in free speech/expression) and even violence. It is so consistent.

Any other time someone pitched a tent on UW property, campus police would tell them to leave or arrest them.
Hamas murdered 1,200 people, wounded over 5,000, and kidnapped 240 people and the UW allows them to stay.

Please educate yourself on the reality of what's going on. Hamas acted in defense of the continued murder and displacement of Palestinians. Interesting, you didn't mention the 34,000 civilians in Palestinian who have been murdered and, in some cases tortured in Palestine since then. There have been people camping on campus for over a year, and they were not removed(it's not political or related to what is going on now). Our union is also going on strike next week, and we have had the police called on us for doing a pre-approved sit-in. The admins know that if they call the police the entire UW will shut down because most students and faculty support the liberated zone.

@@raincoathaveli The UN and the BBC/CNN have all admitted that the numbers you mentioned are unreliable or completely untrue due to the source being HAMAS (which has always lied about civilian deaths and wounded since they took power). The Koran says that they are allowed to lie to the infidel. They are still holding hostages as sex slaves. The Gazan people have received more money over the past four decades than the world provided Japan and the nations of all of Europe to rebuild after WWII via the Marshall Plan. They could have used it to help their own and make GAZA a paradise. Instead their leaders kept it or spent it on themselves and resorted to using Israeli built infrastructure to make rockets to shoot at their neighbors. This is all easily found online. Look it up.

Why is there an encampment on the UW Campus. I am an alumnus, and would be very hesitant to go on campus or take the literail.
