for metal bands, you're more worried about dirt/dead skin than stains. For the Link Bracelet especially, I take a toothbrush and a bit of dish soap to it under the tap. If you haven't washed your link bracelet in a while, taking the individual links apart and scrubbing between all the metal pieces with a brush can get rid of a lot of dirt and gunk that you might not even know is there. If you do that, though, just make sure your drain is plugged somehow so if you drop a link, it doesn't go down the drain. Also, don't forget to get under and inside the butterfly closure! leaving it closed basically leaves all that surface area inside dirty. same for the milanese, just take the toothbrush to it to get between chains.
I do exactly the same thing. I take apart the old links and scrub with a toothbrush in a Tupperware bowl of soapy water. I’ve never been brave enough to do it under a faucet over the drain😀
Love the band videos, I’m going through your whole video collection on these 😂. I’ve always been a leather strap addict and now with the Apple Watch, the band addiction is the same. I prefer the silicone bands because I can just wash them every time I wash my hands. I wash them and my watch face with light soap to get rid of any germs from the day! I find that the braided bands and the sport loops or the Velcro ones take longer to dry than I’d like so I don’t wear them as much despite how comfortable they are!
As always, great video Sir. For older Link Bracelets; I “scrub” them with a abrasive pad as shown in a video from AppleBias. It works really well. Thanks for making & sharing!
i put my sport bands and sport loops in a bowl with small amount of dish soap. if they are bad i’ll let them soak for a bit but a quick scrub and then rinse off completely and air dry and they come up new every time
Bought a band at the goodwill. After taking a closer look I realized it was filthy. Took it home, soaked it w/ dawn for a few mins then cleaned it w/a sponge. It ended up being an authentic Nike band & it was only $2. Looks new
I wash my fabric bands by using a bit of cetaphil and a microfiber cloth. Cetaphil is hypoallergenic and great if you want to avoid your bands giving you a rash. My silicone bands I do the same thing too. I’ve never gotten a rash thanks to this method.
That is a great advice! My silicone single loop bands give me a rash after a few days and I didn’t know if I could wear them again. It is worth trying out a hypoallergenic washing substance although they aren’t fabric. Thanks!
@@Celisar1 yes it is definitely worth it trying a hypoallergenic cleanser on silicone bands. If it’s made for sensitive skin then it should work great as a way to clean your bands.
if apple launch a new Apple Watch soon - maybe next month , do you think all the previous generations of straps will fit the new 2022 Apple Watch ?? - I really hope so , I have over 80 Apple Watch bands & id be gutted not to be able to wear them with the new generation watch ! whats your thoughts ???
@@TheJuanOnly Thank you for your reply, Yeah for sure I would love a video on this topic - I think its an important thought ehh ? we all know the huge cost of the official Apple bands ! & if Apple decide to change the size with the new Apple watch ? its a huge amount of money wasted !! - They wont change the size will they ??
I recommend washing whatever you need to wash NOT under running water. Fill a small box and save drinking water! We are in a terrible draught and it has last rained months ago!

Nice, Mike! Thanks for that more in depth cleaning sesh on the link bracelet 👍🏼🙌🏼

I’ve had great success just tossing my sport loops into the washing machine with my colors and then let air dry. Comes out looking brand new again.

How do YOU clean your apple watch bands??? Love to hear other tips/suggestions! 💯

Yikes I was sleeping when you uploaded, but dang, that metal band looks much cleaner ✨

Sometimes all it takes is a good clean and it makes the whole watch appear newer! Thanks for commenting , sir ! 💯
Lucky!
Eek I hope there was some bleach in that dawn!
What band are you wearing in the video? Olive Flak Nike Sport Loop?
Yes, that is correct 😃
I only use the sport bands and clean them with an alcohol wipe at the end of each day.

I’ve been so freaking excited for this one djdjjdjd

Man great question! Uhhh its a tough one and I have over 350!!! Might have to make a video dedicated to this topic, thoughts?

Thanks! What do you think about tossing braided solo into the washing machine with some clothes?
should be fine yeah i know a lot of people do this
I have two braided solos the product red and unity. When you do throw them in the washer put it with cold washing. And let it air dry
Your exhaustive band collection alone is worth approximately 20000$. Holy meat balls!

How are you doing bro 😎
