Pork Fat on a 1930 to 1940 pigs was a most delicious mouth full.Back when pigs lived on dirt and were pigs . NOT born and raised on cement and chemically fed. Modern day pork leave a lot to be desired.
Thank you for watching....exactly!! nothing is perfect ( except God) when cooking , sewing or gardening!!! I think that's why so many people are turned off by cooking...they think everything has to be measured exactly......sad...because it is so much fun and so rewarding !!
I do too, but unfortunately my husband examines every piece of meat for fat!!! When I make a stew I have to show him the beef BEFORE I make the stew to assure there is no fat in the beef...yes that is a PITA!!
Is trichinellosis common in the United States? Trichinellosis used to be more common and was usually caused by ingestion of undercooked pork. However, infection is now relatively rare.
+Donnate Kostron Great!! For leftovers, cut up the pork into small pieces, add the stuffing, some butter and throw in a fry pan....stir fry....looks awful but tastes great.....
Hi Sweet Jean my supper yesterday turned out beautifully with the chicken broccoli and mushrooms. And vegetable crunch salad. Oh boy that salad is addicting not a drop for my lunch today. Making another. Jean your remarkable I'm never disappointed today is coleslaw and stuffed porkchops. Thank you Jean🙂💕
Man you know what they say about everyone has an opinion just as everyone has a lower backside orvis! I thought 💭 your dinner looked wonderful 👍 I just have a ? Did you use a balsamic vinegar in your good seasons dressing? I made that dressing for years and I never thought to use that I always used white vinegar "boring " Thanks for sharing 🤶🏻🎅🏼
Oh God you can KEEP the Rosemary. I am not able to handle that at all. Sage as well.I am a depression baby and we had very FEW spices.Salt and Pepper and maybe Bay Leaf cause it grew wild where I was born.
not so...washed pork before cutting, washed board before chopping veggies, constantly washing hands (not on video)....this is for HOME consumption...you don't need to wear latex gloves !!!
Miss Jean, If I were to just spoon dressing over the top of the chops, would the cooking time be the same? Also, Should I cover them with foil if I am not actually putting the stuffing inside the chops?
You could spoon some of the dressing over the chops so they don't dry out while cooking...if you are not stuffing them, I would cook them at a higher temp (400) for 15 minutes, turn down to 325 and cook for another 10 minutes or so, uncovered......that way they would be seared to keep in the juices.... I haven't posted any new recipes as Bruce had shoulder surgery last Wednesday...he's in the recliner for 6 weeks in a sling !!!! so I am running around taking care of him.....just cooking all the old stand-bys....how are you??? Summer is almost here !!! another year passing....wow , how time flies!!!
Thank you for the tips. Shoulder surgery, that can be rough. You must be exhausted and I am sure he is not having much fun either. You are both in my prayers. I have hit a bad patch with the drinking again but I am trying to get help for this awful ongoing issue..............I will let you know how this comes out when I cook it next week. Thanks again Miss Jean.
Drinking can be a problem...Bruce used to drink very heavily.....is trying to quit smoking now.....it, like everything else is a choice...no-one can 'convince' you to quit...like dieting....once you determine in your mind that you are going to do something....you can....and if you slip, just start again....failing is a continual learning process...as long as you don't accept it , and re-start over and over.....every day is a new beginning, new choices......thanks for your prayers Elaine.....I just need more patience..
Thank you for your kind words Miss Jean. I quit smoking 5 years ago but I sure am having a heck of a time quitting the booze. Just keep up the good work. You seem like a great wife and an excellent cook for sure! It is especially hard for men when they are out of sorts physically it seems................
I put a comment on here earlier but I do not see it........just hang in there and give my best to Bruce.Men hate to be ill........... I quit smoking 5 years ago but the drink is very hard for me to give up. You both seem like lovely people and we all know what a good cook you are!
@@crazyjeancooking ..... Thank you, Jean! Love your style!!! Will do tell my friends, too. We love how you're not so chatty. We know the basics ..... thanks for not making us look stupid by being a know it all. Love you lotz!!! ♡♡♡♡♡

Looks good. Just so you know a little fat is okay. It adds a lot more flavor
I know...I LOVE fat...sweet and juicy...but husband will not touch anything with fat :(
Jean - just found your chsnnel. LOVE your no-nonsense style! Not too chatty - love it!!! You're quick, and perfect! THANK YOU!

Your husband wont eat the fat, but will eat the PORK CHOP with PORK SAUSAGE STUFFING?
yes, go figure!!
@@crazyjeancooking LOL Two of a kind. Apparently he REALLY likes butter. 😝
yes!!!
Jean, you put this together so quickly. I loved watching you. A person doesn't have to do everything perfect to make a perfect meal.
Thank you for watching....exactly!! nothing is perfect ( except God) when cooking , sewing or gardening!!! I think that's why so many people are turned off by cooking...they think everything has to be measured exactly......sad...because it is so much fun and so rewarding !!
You wouldn't have had extra stuffing if you would have beat the pork chops with a hammer
don't need to pound the meat....
I love how you cut in your hands, that's how I learned to cut veggies from my Mom and Dad. It's kind of a lost art now.
yes, but so much faster cutting with hands, and more control!!...just gota watch out when the knives are sharpened!!!!
Yep lost of art and skin off your fingers
Chicken or pork broth instead of tasteless water. More depth of flavor.
good point!!!
Cook your onions first with the celery in the pan get the flavor out of it then you add it with the pork wow
onions cook in oven in chops
What happened to the sage
Lol I love the FAT ON THE CHOP'S HONEY.
I do too, but unfortunately my husband examines every piece of meat for fat!!! When I make a stew I have to show him the beef BEFORE I make the stew to assure there is no fat in the beef...yes that is a PITA!!
Chicken broth not water!
True...you can use chicken broth in place of water.....
You already have salary in the mix wow
salary?? celery...you're drinking too much
Your going to get Worms if that Pork isn't fully cooked which it wasn't.
they were fully cooked all the way through...no pink....

You got to flatten out the pork chop first damn how long you been doing this
been doing this longer than you've been breathing
@@crazyjeancooking I doubt that very much it's amazing how someone could be doing the same thing wrong over and over and over

wow great recipe I loved it. I left the fat on. 1st time I made stuffed pork chops. ☺❀✿thanks❀✿very❀✿happy❀✿✿aloha❀✿☺

Looks delicious making this tomorrow night for dinner thank you!!
great!!
You need to put the bread in the blender then put it in the mix after you cook everything
don't want mush

Yes, I always use balsamic vinegar.....
Why wouldn't you use chicken broth instead of water? I understand it is personal choice but broth would make a better flavor?
Great idea!!! That would add more flavor.....
Looks great! Got Pork Chops on sale at Costco and can’t wait to try your recipe 💕
great!!! everything on sale!!!
No microwave, otherwise YUM!
delicious!!

Ahha...I have rosemary and thyme, oregano, sage, all the spices growing on the side of the house....so they're easy to find...
John J. Bluvas splurge a little goofy. You are not in the depression anymore! Enjoy while you can for Pete's sake!
Basic hygiene is sadly lacking

Extra virgin olive oil on the bread while it's cooking
I know I'm kind of randomly asking but does anybody know a good website to watch newly released movies online ?
@Jared Trent i use flixzone. You can find it by googling =)

you didn’t beat your meat .... seriously
no, I didn't
Ive seen the chops pocketed then beat them to tenderize. Then season and stuff them bad boys. Wrap them in bacon is a nice added level of flavor.
sounds good!!!
