I must say, Maersk is lucky to have you as an employee 👍.
Emma Maersk was the largest container ship in the year 2006. Now it's just a memorable history.
That was really nice of you Ujjwal .
And yes that's true
I agree, Maersk is really lucky to have you amongst their amazing Seafarers.
And EMMA MAERSK is STILL making history! A true Diamond in the fleet and she ALWAYS is the Grand Elegant Fierce Lady of Maersk❣⚓💝🚢
The triple e are largest now?
Really great video.
I'm almost 60 now so won't be taking up a life on the sea!!!! But it was something that I always wanted to have a go at....as a young man I started a career in aviation and never stopped.....well until Covid came along and hastened my decision to retire early!!!
I applaud that you pass on your knowledge to those who are interested.
And on a side note, as an Aussie, I love the cricketing rivalry between our two nations over the last 20 odd years......awesome.....keep up the good work.
The Video is so basic and Soooo Good👌🏻✔️ Loved It
Thank you
You have been making amazing videos... would love to hear more from you... Keep up with the good work....😊
Thanks Priyanka 😃
Best example of what Captains like you do Onboard who are interested in everything but their own tasks onboard.
Couldn't understand your point
Nice one Karan 👍...I have been sailing since 1994 , sadly couldn't make any videos like this at that time but nice to see someone giving so much of detail about the merchant Navy ...keep up the good work cheers 🥂

Hi, I being a shipping manager, happy to know you were on maersk cape coast and maersk cubango vessel. 👍😎
Hi prabhash , good to know this
Recently switched careers from 2nd Officer Navigation(M navy) to Railways coz of family issues.
I must say Navy was much cooler, bt lonely and sad sometimes.
Absolutely correct
@siddharth dwivedi can u pls tell me what career did u pursue in railways. I'm also second officer and looking for career shift.
@@amitharayan336 Prepared for 1 full year..got selected in Railways station master and SSC CGL EXCISE OFFICER.
Also prep for PCS and other state level exams.
I risked my job for prep...you don't do it plz.
Along with job,you can start your prep if you r not overage for govt exams.
@SUPERHERO Risking your job for preparing CGL is not what I would recommend..
Along with your job, prepare for state govt exams...like UPPSC,UPSSSC,REVIEW OFFICER in various offices....likewise in your state..
Coz CGL competition has really got very ugly...You need to give your time and full dedication...I mean CGL is not that easy as it used to be 4-5 years back...
Start preparing for these state government jobs..and when you reach a level you think only last blow is left,,,take 2-3 months leave and Give your best shot.
Nice video. Hearing your background and journey was good.
Thanks ray

having passed out of NDA a long time ago, I have to say that they missed a good un when they did not pick you. also, saw you with your father and i think that both of you are lucky - you for having such a nice father and he because he has such an accomplished son. will continue to look for your merchant navy vlogs.
I have interest in marchant Navy...
And I thank who many months training in marchant navy
Hey, Mearsk is really wonderful company, I am also part of Maersk in Pune.
Good to see the shore team 😃
I'm a technical superintendent and also ex tolani . Salaries of crew and officers basically depends upon following
1. The flag of the vessel
2. Whether the vessel is itf // non itf
3. The cba the unions have with employers
4. Sort of vessel that one is sailing on. Salaries of masters // chief engineer on tankers // gas carriers and atleast 20 to 30 % higher than those on dry ships . Like containers and bulk carriers .
5. As a technical superintendent I go through 100 of resumes daily . Not all are employable , not because they are bad . But , because there are no jobs . Especially in the lower ranks .Even fewer jobs ashore . Remember, sailing can be a job . Difficult to make it a career .
@@goanboy2408 first of all sorry for your loss . But, I am neither propagating Maersk. You neither understood my remark nor what I had written. All crewing contracts or cba have consent as per some union . Usually according to the flag the ship carries . Without that , the insurance is not valid dmlc ( which is mandatory as per MLC) , is not valid . Hence , it's impossible that Maersk wouldn't have that . I have no idea of what you're talking
About. Yes , working at sea is a lot more risky than any conventional job . And hence insurance is an absolute must for the crew. This would be covered by the P&I .
And I'm guessing from your name that you're Filipino. So , must be some other problem
@@goanboy2408 first mind your fucking language . Secondly , officers from India are one of the best in the world . I know , I had sailed once and employing others now. Those who are bad , are terrible, but that's how it is with any nationality. If you were pathetic at your job and sacked , it's part of the job . Nothing personal.
@@goanboy2408 you were sacked and not getting a job that's why you're so sour . You're not half as intelligent to clear from India, that's why you run away to UK for exams . Your English is so pathetic, you're a disgrace to an Indian Sea farer. I guess you're sacked. If you have the balls share your indos number here . Otherwise you're a fraud , sacked useless shit .I think you were never capable of clearing your exams , and stayed a wiper all your life .
Aww that tattoo story 😍
Thanks rashmita

2) Completed 12th(PCM) from Army Public School ✔️
3) Scored 86% in 12th✔️
4) Tried for NDA✔️(I still have my last attempt left though)
5) Applied for various MERCHANT NAVY COLLEGES✔️
Nice to know Nikhil . Hope you are doing well now
How score such good marks in science
Sir is this career job secure
@@ayushchoudhary2271 It's totally dependent on the Market Situation and the College you study from. If you go to a good College like Tolani, SIMS etc. you have a good career ahead if you study sincerely and are really serious about what what you want to be. If you're just looking at Merchant Navy as lucrative career because it pays well, YOU WILL SUFFER. A lot of students think that one does not need to study in Merchant Navy, which, I think, is a completely wrong assumption. Secondly, don't go to agents and fraud or non approved colleges. A lot of people suffer because of this.
Most of all I see a very professional attitude. There is a path of learning and experience above, near equal to and below him in the officer ranks. Everyone relies on each other to insure the safety of the crew, cargo and the ship on the seas. It is a process where
the officers are made not born. I can see where everyone relies on each other because of who they have become as merchant sailors moving our cargo around the world.
Thanks Wendy for such an apt message
