Thank you Fr Warner for breaking the word to us so we could better understand and appreciate the bible readings.
I have a grandson named Elijah, 4 years of age. I pray he becomes the kind of person that the great prophet Elijah, his namesake is.
I believe that one's name is a very important part of one's identity. I pray for my grandson to receive a good portion of the spirit of his namesake. May the prophet Elijah watch over him, guiding and teaching him to live a life obedient to the Father.

It is great to see the close father- son relationship between Elijah and Elisha. I appreciate the way you have pinpointed the minute details of Elijah being taken away from Elisha.
Elijah had great trust in Elisha and Elisha asked for a double portion of Elijah's Spiritual wealth.
The appearance of the Chariots with the Horses, which separated Elijah and Elisha and Elijah being taken up in a whirlwind.
Our Priests too are God's gifts to us as they work with dedication to nourish us Spiritually.
May the Holy Spirit continue to inspire and guide you Fr.Warner God bless you and protect you always 🙏 Fr.Warner

Father from today’s reading I face the separation of my family whenever I go back to work overseas . It’s a difficult situation, the thought, feeling of being separated but then just like Elijah went so that Elisha could carry on Gods work there is always the feeling that one has to go so that others can benefit and have a better life .

Hello father. Loved today's teaching. It's difficult to find good spiritual priest, as when you get closer and to be trusted. They get transferred. So it's difficult to make an honest confession with confidence.

Dear Fr Warner, like the deep father-son relationship Elijah & Elisha shared, God has given us Spiritual fathers to nourish & help us grow in our walk with Jesus - our priests, who care for us, pray for us, guide & bless us. The late Fr AV D'Souza was a spiritual father not only to me but many who were blest, healed & nourished by his teaching & services. His passing away left a big void in our lives. God bless you Fr & & thank you for your valuable teaching. 🙏🏻💞

Fr. Warner there is so much to learn of the father-son relationship that Elijah and Elisha shared. Elisha sees himself as the successor of His master, Elijah, who continues to work for him, and Elisha, other than asking for power and position, asks for the double share of the Spirit, is my takeaway from today's reading on 2 Kings. The Spirit is what Elijah stood for. As faithful, may we also live up with the same zeal, strengthening our faith in God. Thank you Fr.Warner for today's reflection on 2 Kings. God bless and heal you. AMEN!

Our Parish priest asked for a transfer from our parish, he said there are so many nuns and priests here I am not needed. He has gone to a remote place where he will take up his passion for evangelising. We considered him a living saint and we were blessed for the short two years we had him with us but I in particular miss him sorely . Thank you for this reflection, it reminded me that Gods calling is greater for a priest than our selfish needs

Thank you Fr. Warner. When Elisha asked for a double portion I feel as if God shared that with us in hopes to make a "last request". In this instance, he is the survivor, but is asked in that moment of finality. Most people would ask for Power and such, but the faithful feel compelled to spread the good word. Although I have struggled, it is wonderful to know I have my heart and faith strongly secure. Thank you as well for the brief history on how the book of Kings was placed into two chapters. Many blessings.

Thank you Father, today's lesson really clarified all of the chaos in 1 Kings for me! Your recap and summary led into Elijah's journey with a flow that I could understand. Our parish recently lost, unexpectedly, to her call home to the Lord, Sister Sharon, who's job was visiting the sick and homebound. I hope we will be blessed with another nun with the ability to take over as Elisha

Do you think transferring the priests from chapels and churches when they are just settling down and our relationship is just building is a big blow. Of course in Goa we can go and meet😅 him in the next parish. But there must be some good reason for their transfer

Fr...I always thought that certain narrations in the Bible were metaphorical rather than real...this thing about Elijah being taken up to heaven in a whirlwind, the chariot of fire, etc; but you seem to talk of these things as though they actually did happen. If you have the time, would very much appreciate a clarification. Thanks, Fr.
