Hi Milkman. I’m an old retired trucker and I’d like to know if you’ve ever blown a tire with those big wheel fenders. What’s your reason for a long fifth wheel hookup. During my days shorter was better. Lol. Thanks for your vids, it’s nice to remember those days when I hauled. Drive safe and keep’m coming.
I like the way the pigtail and air lines from truck to trailer are set up. Right in the middle of the catwalk. The way mine is set up sucks, always breaks my green cord
Yikes! That's a 16 series trailer which are some of the newest trailers we have. We are just getting in 17 series trailers. This is why we can't have nice things 🙄
I was wondering why you put so much time, money and effort into an old truck. Then @7:50 I realized why. When you look at that new truck crunched up and then turn around and see yours you're just like...oh hellz yeah! That's my truck right there! Frigging road boss!
Big fan here bud. Quick question for you. What size visor you got on the pete? Looks perfect. Ordering a reverse bowtie from 12ga customs this week to replace my center drop i have on there now
@@TheMilkMans We've got a saying on the railroad (Also goes for my current temp gig as a trucker too, JK the guys I work for are great 😂) The saying goes "Profit first, safety last, uphill slow, downhill fast!" Lol companies don't care about safety until something happens, that's where safety third comes from. Mike Rowe created the safety third idea that you should do what's best for your personal safety first, then what's best for everyone around you second and third is what the company thinks is best. This guy disregarded all 3 steps 😂
Nice Truck! drove in the late 70s into mid 80s we all respected each other and made friends on cb s worlds gone weird.warehouse people always sucked of course some where nice.i liked the linseed oil tanker runs and gas no drama then.cabover days back then if you had a pete longnose you where cool back then most companys only bought one for a long time driver if he bitched enough.i remember our company had a safety meeting in 1983 and boss walked in room and said great news i bought a brand new black on black long nosed pete 83 inch sleeper.should be here tomorrow we where all crying all 75 of us we knew it was a west coast only truck.and ended up being just that.so we crawled back in our cabovers.it was so cruel back then our boss would find you in a bar and drag you out by your ear literally if he needed a driver.many times drunk driving but sobered you up fast we had white pills that saved us huge time in old days that you could buy at truckstops any gas sation ect and they where legal
Hey The Milkman. Awesome videos.I’m a cattle hauler in New Zealand we call them “Stock trucks” here.We pay for fuel by the litre here about $1.35 which converts to about $4.99 a gallon haha. I’m amazed how many killable cattle you guys can get on those articulated units. My unit is a 620hp S cab scania 4 axle truck with a 24 foot 2 deck stock crate & a 5 axle trailer with a 36 foot 2 deck stock crate cattle only.Sheep trucks are 4 deck & can do sheep cattle an pigs. I can legally go to 54 tonne. My unit weighs 23 tonne empty an washed out.So I can get roughly 50 steers or heifers on at about 620kg live weight average if they are bigger than that we drop the loads back to 40 head or 31 tonne pay load. I work Sunday to Friday one week then Monday to Friday the next every 2nd weekend off. We average about 160000kms per year so roughly 100000 miles. Servicing both North an South Island. We are very busy all year round so I do cattle all year apart from the 4 weeks off we get annually. The company I work for has 3 depots 2 based in the North island & 1 in the South Island & we have 32 stock units all up plus 7 little truck onlys which run around doing all the small jobs.A small amount of trucks compared to you guys haha but here we would be considered a large company. I only found your videos this week & find them very interesting keep up the good work. Cheers mate
