If any one of them had actually been paying attention to the Mavs after the trade deadline they'd know that they're a serious team. They won most of the games that they played after that. I'll be honest. I've never watched the NBA seriously and decided to watch this years play-offs following the mavs because I feel in love with Kyrie's handles. At first I had the preconcieved idea that Luka was great and insane with clutch shots and his step back, but felt that maybe his tripple doubles were inflated thanks to "this era of basketball" and that he was a big big flopper. All I can say is that the more I watch every single game, the more I see how the media literally ignores him or how the bad traits I've stated before are greatly exagerated. I'll be honest. I've never watched the NBA seriously and decided to watch this years play-offs following the mavs because I feel in love with Kyrie's handles. At first I had the preconcieved idea that Luka was great and insane with clutch shots and his step back, but felt that maybe his tripple doubles were inflated thanks to "this era of basketball" and that he was a big big flopper. All I can say is that the more I watch every single game, the more I see how the media literally ignores him or how the bad traits I've stated before are greatly exagerated. This man should have been in the discussion of MVP every single year of his carreer in a more prominent fashion. I can only hope they make it even further in the play-offs this year so the public eye gives him more credit

@@ghostfacenasir7248 I've looked at the numbers. Jokic eclipsed Luka in _nearly every stat_ . Don't get me wrong, Luka is a beast. But so is Jokic and he balled out even more than the Magic man. This reaction is nothing new. People coming out with retrospective takes based on how the chips fall in the playoffs. Nah... Jokic was the rightful winner and that chapter is in the bag. Luka is now still in the running for a title and a Finals MVP trophy. And next year again for an MVP. Which should be easier at least against Jokic now despite the numbers the latter would put up next season. For two reasons: voter fatigue, and a carryover effect if the Mavs go on to win the title.
