Very nice. I like wood furniture. Quality wooden furniture is very expensive in the U.S. When I was in the Philippines my fiance could not understand why I was so fascinated by the wooden furniture for sale. After we married and she moved to the U.S., I pointed out the difference between real wood and the fake crap that we use here. Now she understands. :)
Remember, just because it's expensive doesn't mean its good, and just because its cheap doesn't mean it's bad! 10,000$ for 2 couches you must be smoking shabu, or trying to be Imelda Marco's. Even some people who have money are not impressed by these types of things, better to enjoy a simple life and be humble. I can always tell a braggadocious Filipino just by the way they humble brag and walk around without a care in the world
I like all the mahogany furnitures you showed (ie carved tables and the 3 drawers cabinet, and all the cabinets with drawers). Mirrors are beautiful too. Dinning tables and chairs are gorgeous! Just need to reload my wallet! Still a vampire? no reflexion in the mirrors^^ Great store and video. Thank you VPP.
Surely a 12, 24, 36 month warranty? Prices seem rather inflated... But then again us rich folk wishing to buy our gardener or yaya a nice present need to have a decent place to go! Lol Seriously though, seems from the video to be good well presented and built quality furniture. I'd buy... Triple Thumbs up :)
off topic question. if I was dating a Filipina that wanted to go back to school. What would be some good careers for her to study for? What 4 year degrees earn most money in the Philippines? There was a woman who said she didn't complete her senior high school degree. Is it true that she has to get a senior high degree before she can attend college? Thank you so much! You are the most knowledge person I have found about the Philippines and I appreciate your insight.
WelcomeHome76 They added the senior high school requirement after she graduated. She could have taken a four year college course after graduating grade 10 and some colleges still offer that option. There are universities that have changed their degree courses to offer the missing units obtained from grade 11 and 12 within their four year degrees. Grade 11 and 12 basically gives units that would be needed to complete a degree anyway, they are just making all students in effect take some college units in grade 11 and 12 which would be counted towards the four year degree. There are professions that are limited to holders of the correct degrees real estate broker is one, not to confused with a real estate agent. Nursing is a good degree for obtaining employment abroad. But it clearly matters what her interests are and what are her life targets.
@@villagepeoplephilippines Thank you so much for you insight! Do you know of any good colleges in cebu that offer a degree in physical therapy or nursing that would allow her to attend with her current academic level of completion? Thanks again and have a great week!
@@WelcomeHome76 I will ask some friends and get back to you, remind me at villagepeoplephilippines@gmail.com if you haven't heard anything after a week. There is the doctor's university in Mandaue, I will also enquire there.

Asa mas good idea buying the stuff from other country then padala through container at least sa container daghan item masulod.. , the question is how much pod bayad sa custom tax?
. The law is clear about the exemption but in real Philippines it is not true. You have to go through the dept of finance to apply for the exemption called TEI
The problem is the furniture is so old fashion in style, I doubt I would buy any of it, but the real problem in my opinion is price, I can buy quality furniture here in Australia cheaper than what you are showing, the reason being is obvious, competition, which is something that is lacking in the Philippines, I find the ranges and prices are not spectacular in the Philippines for most home items, the funnies part is when Im in a department store and see something I like and ask for a discounted price, the assistant looks so insulted. Sadly there is also a two tier price structure within the Philippines, one price for the general populace and that for us foreigners.
James Matheson Classic furniture never goes out of style.....that's why there's a buoyant antiques and reproduction trade in the west. Ikea will be opening its prestige furniture warehouse in Manila 2020.
Their furnitures are really nice but they are very expensive buying them is investing in them. Too bad I have cats so I can't use cushioned furnitures. Is it cheaper if you bring the furnitures for them to re apholster?
Holy cow, these old-looking wood chairs...hand-crafted furnitures are way too expensive for me. I think I can't afford even just 1pc of chair 😭. They only belong to a place like Buckingham Palace where "age" would nicely blend in with that old Reptilian (kono) hag who seem to never die (conspiracy theory).
my asawa thinks this furniture is hideous ..and even to an old b like me it looks very , victorian and very mahal talaga .... better i think to get it made locally ,but without all those unnecessary carvings

If you are shipping it in the Philippines as a Balikbayan you are free to ship your personal things in a container for one time.
