I’m Tzitzi Daniel and my recent research delves into the pressing issue of excessive screen time among adolescents and young adults, uncovering a range of negative impacts such as addiction, reduced social skills, overstimulation, disrupted sleep, and emotional distress. Despite these challenges, screens also present educational benefits.

Hi Tzitzi, I love your graphic design for your slides! This topic is so important, and I am so glad you chose to focus on the adolescent population for this study. As a mother of a young child, the conversation about screentime is prevalent in my day-to-day, from articles being published about the negative effects on young children and the need to set boundaries on time. For adolescents, I noticed that this becomes more complicated because of the children's agency, the prevalence of screens in school, and the social pressures around screens.

What a great topic, Tzitzi! Your delivery was clear with graphics that made it easy to stay engaged. Excessive screen time is definitely unhealthy and addicting for children. We did not have this problem when I was a child, but nowadays parents don't think twice about allowing their kids to stay glued to their phone for reasons other than enhancing their education. It is just one more thing parents have to monitor. That's why I have a rules regarding my kids' phones, even as they grew into older teenagers. Forcing your kids to participate in other activities, like swimming or riding bikes, is good for the parents and kids.

    Hi Tzitzi,
This study is particularly important in today's time. Back when I was a kid, there was hardly any use of computers or phones like there is today. I feel that the internet and increased screen time are significantly affecting children now. For example, my daughter used to have 20/20 vision, but due to excessive phone use, she now cannot go without needing her glasses.

Tzitzi, I appreciated your use of graphics throughout your presentation. Also, it is such a relevant topic in today's world where parents are constantly faced with balancing screen time with discipline. At the same time, as you pointed out, it is such an important part of education that it is important they understand how to use technology in a useful manner. Great job!

Hey Tzitzi, First off, I love the slide of your presentation, they are very catchy! Your study is really good and very informative especially for parents with young children that use a lot of screen time. The questions you asked your participations were very straight forward and I bet you got a lot of feedback from them. Great job! I really like this.
