Hes improved so much in the last year, what was a long shot, feels like he will at the very least play in the NHL at some level.
Hes a great player, watched him in the Red Deer Rebels. Canucks made a great decision, he has a bright future ahead of him! Good luck.
This was a very nuanced video
so much nuance

Extremely nuanced
an unnuanced level of nuance
Bains getting some love. Nice. Wonder what he'll show in the big leagues. Next Yannick Hansen? Lol.
I'd like him to be the next Kadri.
I liked your insightful and intelligent analysis and breakdown of Bains' play. I look forward to more of your content!
He looks to have improved his speed this year. Id say his strengths is his hockey sense and playmaking ability. At minimum i think hes a solid 3rd/4th liner and a part of your penalty kill. Thats amazing for an undrafted forward.
I got to watch him play in his final year in Red Deer. Fun to watch..
I watched him play with the Rebels, hes a great player, quick on the ice.
@Andrew-np1id In the same way that he was a bit of a late bloomer in the WHL, given his success in the AHL I do anticipate he'll be the sort of player the team should remain patient with in his potential jump to the NHL. Could be a really good payoff!
@@RobDucharme Thats right, i agree!
AHL looks good this year. Lots of players bubbling over to NHL level.
Bains baby! Go Canucks go!
Great vid
Surrey legend
I just heard of this kid and wanted to get some info about him, looks like I came to the right place!
Excellent video man!
Thank you!
what's the ceiling and floor for bains?
yeaaaa buddddyyyy
He gets ars deep in the opponents defense
him being a local Surrey kid is awesome to see
No captions for secret viewing @ work ?
RED DEER REBELS LEGEND
Make to the roster if Garland is Traded soon Bains leading rookies in the nhl I wished
This video was more nuanced than my uncles wedding
He looks great. Surprising that a guy with 16 points in 10 games only has 1.3 shots per game though
Kind of reminds me of..
Wait for it.
Zack Benson.
hometown kids can be a plague cause they have all their friends here wanting to party. We tried that with Virtanen.
I guess you could say the Canucks are about to be Arshdeep in money 😏
lol

the next jujar Khaira
Hopefully not dude, he got absolutely rocked by trouba right? Havnnt seen him play since, kinda shitty ngl sucks for the guy
Next Burrows for sure...
Wouldn't that be nice? Seems to have a slightly different style of game, but I get what you mean. Could wind up being a reliable 50 point two way type. Nothing wrong with that.
He’s getting paid millions now

Omelette Du Nuanced?
This is a otherwise a good video, but please stop misusing the word nuanced 🤪
Nah.. You guys are pushing another woke player. Why waste your time? NHL GMs will bury him in the minors
Oh course he’s born in Surrey
😂
What’s that supposed to mean
better safe than s....
@@zadzko7988 bro cuz he’s brown, it’s funny he’s from Surrey
Sorry. Until he makes the NHL and does damage he is not found money
Very true. Too many people overlook this fact. There was a player (forgot his name) who led the AHL in scoring every year, but couldn't do squat at the NHL level. Guy played for the Canucks and did squat too. He led the Nucks farm team then in scoring as well.
Assdeep pains 😅 what a monacher
Why wasn't Bains drafted? Can we say it was racism? Hope he proves the NHL wrong...
His draft year (2019) he was coming off of an 18 point season in 63 games. No one is drafting those numbers.
So no, you can't say racism.
@@nobuddy2012 ... Can we say it was sexism? Has to be some kind of ism. Maybe she/he/they is trans or nonbinary? I can't remember what the name for that ism is. Transism? Nonbinism? It's all so confusing...
@@mediahoundwut?
lol NHL teams would cream their pants if they could have an extra diversity hire on the team. He wasn’t drafted because he sucked and no one could justify a bad player even if he checked their ESG box.
Now he’s turned it around and actually has some worth other than his bonus points skin colour.
Instead of looking at the persons overall stats or doing any deep dives, you automatically assumed the reason Bains wasn't drafted had something to do with racism or some kind of ism. That, to me, is racism in itself because you're not judging the individual, you're judging the color of his skin. Lots of Caucasian males go undrafted, yet no one brings up that it's racism. I hate it that many companies, including governments, hire people based on their race and not on their actual qualifications.
Bains was not good enough in his draft year and by the time he dominated the WHL, he was an overager and dominating the WHL as a 20/21 year old isn't impressive at all. Guy deserves a shot at the NHL, but putting up great numbers in any league doesn't mean it'll translate in the NHL.
