These are not the easiest cars to work on. Remember this one thing, all Merceedes are built from the inside out BUT with the technician in mind. The engineers do not make it “impossible” and when you are forcing on a Benz, you better think twice and ask yourself, does Benz mean this to be forced? Glue , tape and forcing do not belong in the same sentence as Mercedes. Cigarette lighter element same thing 😂🤣 . Keep on making these videos they are great! I have a 99 e300 TD with 298k. I’m a service consultant at a dealership. I’ve done everything to this damn car. I just got done installing a new OEM rack, Pwr steering pump, and starter. Up next month is lower control arm bushings, tires, shocks and springs. This will be the best driving 300k + diesel in America. Lol.
you are so, so right - if it seems difficult or you have to force it, you're definitely not following the intent of the Benz engineers who, unlike some other German rivals (looking at you, Audi!), actually design things to be repairable. a prime example of this is the small slot in the passenger front fender well, neatly plugged with an oval rubber grommet, that allows you to easily access the backside nut holding the upper right control arm bolt. it looks a bit intimidating, but works brilliantly. you can find numerous videos here of the unfortunate W210 owners who decided not to 'risk' it, and ended up spending hours removing/relocating the brain box just to access the nut instead 🤔
excellent video on a comprehensive W210 LED interior upgrade! I have a '99 pre-facelift E320, and have converted all the interior & exterior lighting over to LED. even the city lights, instrument panel & climate control unit! it makes such a difference, and really brings a more modern look to a classic vehicle engineered to go deep into six-digit land... keep up the great work 🦾
Can you show or link how you did the instrument panel? Did you also do the window switches? I want a different color other than the stock old amber color
@@RedmanSlapz doing the gauge cluster is fairly easy. you need a special tool which is basically 2 j-hooks with t-handles on the ends - use those to pull the instrument cluster free, it's a press fit and not screwed in. if you adjust the steering wheel all the way out & down, there will be enough room along with slack in the cluster wiring for you to slide the cluster out and flip it up to rest on top of the binnacle, still plugged in, with the backside facing you. at that point you have access to all the little t-hat B8X gauge cluster bulbs or whatever they are... unscrew & replace with LED equivalents. I highly recommend testing & adjusting the bulbs as you replace them for optimal connection, as those twist-in connectors can be a bit dodgy. leaving the cluster connected makes it super easy to do this. window switches are another matter. I could never find anything about anyone disassembling the switches to get at the bulbs inside to replace, and I wasn't feeling adventurous enough to rip apart my window switches without spares. FWIW, the climate control unit is a T10 LED replacement and you can easily pull it with the same keys you use to pull the stock radio, T10 bulb goes in the bottom side of the unit. also - when you replace the instrument cluster bulbs with 6000K white LEDs, the gauges will look brilliant white but the LED info readout at the bottom turns a light yellow-green rather than the amber/orange it is with the stock halogen bulbs. ditto the climate control unit. the LED upgrade really makes the bottom info display a LOT easier to read in bright daylight.
Make sure your lights are off or prepare to get burnt by old light and new light replacement and also live hot wire.even these leds get hot like bulbs.
Keep up the content I love it, I’m 19 and I will be looking at a silver w210 already straight piped for $1,000 your videos keep influencing me into getting myself one keep up the work your time will come, love from Pennsylvania 💯💪🏽
Some of them are smaller, some of them are thicker(speaking of the bulbs 💡), and also some are mislabeled. For some I had to bend the pins wider in order to fit
Thanks for the shoutout! LEDs are one of my favorite things to do on any car.
Anytime brother, thanks for the recommendation. I love the LEDs

Monster W210 🔥😎 best work bro 👍👍👍💡
is there also a light on the bottom of the backside of the driver and passenger seats? it's to light up the second row foot area
Do your car has led footwell light for back seat only or also have led for front driver and passenger side ?
@@aizielarif9354 yes. i think is cos my w210 is the facelifted model
Please renew my CLS63 w219 lights to look like 2017+ Volvo XC90 or Audi or BMW lights very simple design 🙏 subscribed! 🇺🇸
What happened to the paint on your hood. Is it engine heat realted?

Yup, that's correct. For the map ones, disable the open door activation
Can I sand paper the sides till it fits on the single map led or would that damage it?
It will probably damage it. Where are you located?
