This album was a globalist spin on Gospel music with a odd desire to add funk. I am not sure it does one of the 3 genres justice. Creative but not a classic and does not highlight what made him special for most I think.

And if you think he’s special for one thing or another he has countless songs that satisfy that he doesn’t need to keep making the same shit. If the truth of Christianity scares you then that's on you. Jesus Christ is meant to be a stumbling block for the arrogant. Jesus is about love, the two greatest commandments are about love, and because God loves righteousness so much He is going to rid the world of that which tries to destroy it. Humble yourself and accept the goodness of God. You have nothing to fear unless you've done something wrong and stand condemned. Through Jesus you will be forgiven for your sins and no longer stand condemned. But until you're forgiven you Should be scared. Hopefully that fear will put a pep in your step to get forgiven!

Tyler looks so damn happy, I’ve never seen him smile so much!
His music speaks to the people in the middle. Not the extreme right are left. Most of us are walking at peace in the middle of two extremes. You don’t hear much from us really but Tyler Childress gets it right. He spoke for us and we sing along loudly.
The fact that Tyler has one of his favorite writers interviewing him explains that Tyler is a hard worker and a hard study. Let Tyler be Tyler and great things will happen. Keep at Tyler.
As someone who has been deconstructing, searching, and studying for the last couple of years I am so excited to hear this album. My heart has led me to a similar way of thinking, and from my own journey I can appreciate the effort involved in creating it as well as the courage it takes to release it. Lately, I've seen a lot of evidence of Tyler using the heart he speaks of to further our home state of Kentucky and I've gotta say I'm here for it.
Thousands of yrs ago this very thing was told. 1st Timothy 4;1 thats just one of the things that told of things like this. there are so many more. When you find a book that is 100% right you should pay attention.

I wasn’t raised in the Church, I always assumed because my parents who are Lutheran said I was Baptized, that I was saved. I would go to heaven just because I lived a morally just life and treated people like I wanted to be treated. Then at 19 I killed my first man in Iraq thinking I’m doing the right thing, protecting my country and the brothers I served with. Had I not had a Christian Vietnam veteran show me through the written word of God how wrong I was, I would still be on that path to damnation. There is but only one way to enjoy the kingdom of Heaven, and that is to cry out to Christ to forgive you and BELIEVE he died on the cross for all of my sins. Do I want every soul on earth to be their with, of course. Will that happen, sadly no. “Good intentions bad judgment” something sad all the time in combat. Never thought they would apply to salvation.
Jesus is the Only Way to God and Forgiveness of Sins. It's very disturbing to see Tyler saying otherwise.

Fan from the uk here and I have a lot of time for Tyler Childers. I can see he clearly loves hs country but he know's we need to work together. He's smart enough the realise that regardless of your race, religion or culture, we're all going the same way on the same road.
Tyler is my all time favourite artist, I really hope he comes to Australia for some shows 👍

Tyler is a great artist and so inspirational. Silas House is a great author and so inspirational. Clays quilt is one of my favorite books I’ve ever read. And both of these guys are from Kentucky which is what makes this so unique. Excellent interview
I think the interviewer completely screwed up this interview with that first crap about "Christian heaven, Muslim heaven", it seems to me it threw Tyler off. As a Christian myself I can see it in his face. That's why Tyler mentioned the Trinity and Jesus multiple times. Every Christian knows there is only one heaven and one Almighty God! And Jesus is our only way to either. Jesus warned about mixing religion and He also made it clear He is the only way!

Don’t minimize something you don’t understand. A lot of people talk about it yet there is no change; clearly there is not enough people talking about it and not enough people listening and receiving those messages.

I like Tyler's music along with songs of the every day struggles that people face along with the harmony and love he tries to teach in his songs, but Christ and Christianity is exclusive. He it's one way to talk about the same thing. Jesus said, "I am the way, and the truth, and the life; no one comes to the Father except through Me.” (John 14:6).

People calling this Jesus music is quite comical. Clearly not considering the first single is referring to all religions. The Bible states “no one comes through the father except through me”.
Not to mention the first 30 seconds of video Tyler states religion doesn’t matter.
My interpretation of this is Tyler is stating to be a good person. Treat others the way you want to be treated kind of mindset and one empowering god will sort it out at the end.
Whether he’s right or wrong that’s for you to decide.

I love the intention! I am not a religious person whatsoever, but this might be the first gospel album I will sit down and listen to in full.
I’m excited to see what each version of the songs will sound like. Have yet to be disappointed with our boy, so here’s hoping!

It’s so refreshing to hear an artist talk about something that isn’t secular. The album is very similar to Kanye’s Danda album. Christian thought Is scorned by modern secularism but at the heart of Christianity is love for all of his creation and God is bigger than all of our gods for sure.

Tyler needs to either put out an actual gospel album or just go back to Country Squire and Purgatory type stuff. It seems like he is trying ride the fence or something and not offend anyone but that is impossible. I will wait and listen to the album before I fully judge it though.
