You will definitely enjoy DUM SPIRO SPERO more, which is basically in UROBOROS continuity, going deeper in experimentation and violence
If you want something more straightforward and heavy you should check their last album The Insulated World. DSS is a lot more experimental and avant-garde. It's a better album in my opinion but some don't like that much chaos I can understand that. Each album got some serious killer grooves and riffs in almost every song
The insulated world is way more avant garde I think. I think it's their biggest stretch for a sound. This and dss are a lot better. Even marrow of a bone is a better heavy album to me. Arche is prolly the most straightforward they've done
Vinushka, Dozing green, Bugaboo is my favorite. I never get tired of hearing it

I like your reaction.. I agree with a few others here as well, I think you'll like DumSpiroSpero maybe a bit more.. Maybe even Arche too, I personally think the live version from Tousei (subbed by periXreloaded) is awesome. Just like Kaishun, Behind a Vacant image.. And and and and hahah.. ^^

Aah good old uroboros imo the most standout tracks in the album are red soil with dozing greens and yeah i agree with others if u want something heavier check out DSS or The Unraveling

I know its a reaction but let em grow on you, they dont do what sounds conventionally "good" or easy songs, they try to find new and challenging ways to make music. Theyd be bored doing something that you just liked every part of without thinking, relisten to a song if you think you don't dig it. Your least favorite could easily become your favorite

Sadly this álbum so bad mixed, still a masterpiece.
all dir en grey albums are poorly produced in terms of sound quality. the real good works of this band are the live official shows that are epic, especially "dum spiro spero at nippon budokan"
They made a remaster version of the same, and sounds great
