A horse that's been worn down will always still be a horse.
This exact thing happened to me. I have medically retired from the sport I have been doing since I was 3. I injured my ankle so many time that once I get my next surgery I will never be able to compete again. I am still really struggling because this sport means absolutely everything to me and idk what my life will be without it. I think it is important to spread awareness of how losing something so special to you can really effect you. Some people don’t get it and have just told me to toughen up and get over it bc it is just a sport but it is my sport and it is my life. Thank you for making this video. It’s nice to know I am not alone anymore.
I went to high school with Arielle. I'm so happy that she found her way out of the darkness and was welcomed back by her team. You go girl! Also you look super strong :)
torn my ACL and lateral meniscus for the 3rd time and no one cares after the first time. I feel alone
Hey man. I’ve had the exact same thing happen to me three times. Just wanted to let you know I am praying for you, and you can always get back to where you were.
I wish there would be more resources to self-help for those who want to improve their mental well-being due to injuries
i tore my acl and i haven’t played soccer in 7 months and i can’t play for another 7 months. i can’t explain how i feel, nothing matters anymore and it feels like my life is worthless without soccer. my whole life revolved around soccer before and all my friends do is play so not being able to play had disconnected me from my friends as well. I also constantly wonder if i’m still gonna be as good when i get back or if i’m still gonna have a spot on my academy team. this is the worst feeling i’ve ever felt in my life and the only thing that makes me feel better is lifting weights at the gym but for the rest of the day i’m constantly sad.
Same!
Same
I hope you feel better now I’m going through something similar
I recently got an injury breaking both my bones in my leg. This took a toll on me. I was taken out of all my sports and was told I couldn’t walk for few months not including rehab. Today is my team’s regionals. Thank you for the video.
What about sports that are not team sports? You can't contribute to a team, you just end your career and have to completely forget about it...
Yup, i swam, but now i can’t swim
Thank you! I needed to hear this video!!!

Just had plastic surgery after completely destroying my hand in a car crash, don't have the structural integrity / knuckles left to probably ever box again.
hi, any updates? just had my hand surgery a week qgo and the doc said I probably won’t be able to return to muay thai again
I have fucked up hips idk really how it will be fixed other than surgery. I've been injured for a year and 2 months and I will probably get surgery for my hips. Though my shoulders bother me during certain exercises which doesn't really make me feel good. Rowing is my life it's like breathing I want to be the best. Win ira go to the national team compete Olympic and world's get a world record 2k and do the insane amount of work though pure discipline. Though idk if I'll ever row again tbh. Well if not the rest of my life will be less. I need to at least be the best at something if I can't be the best with rowing. I hate it so much I hate it with my fucking soul. This is such bullshit everyone can look down on me and talk shit because I am nothing right now my teammates are shit heads and I hate them for it. I just want to be able to workout hard enough to be the best rower I don't really want anything else.
