I know this is just a game, and things had to be "Gamified" to make them fun, but in real life "dog fights" at close range like this have not been a thing since WW2. Today's fighter pilots are flying jets with weapon systems that can lock onto and shoot down enemy craft that are so far off that the pilot can't even see them with the naked eye.
