Two facts about the kpz70: If you turn the turret toward the rear of the tank, you have +1 gun depression, so beware of that And the HE shell has very good pen (99 with calibrated shells) but has lower alpha than a normal 152mm gun ( 640 instead of 680)
I love this tank. It’s alpha hardly ever low rolls for me and it’s a comfortable tank all around. I was lucky and got it in one of those bundles when they were cheaper that gave a bunch of stuff and a random tank.
Im really struggle with this tank at first, but it has some charm that make me want to try hard anyway. And thank to the experience with this tank, when I get my hand on the Sheridan it feels so comfortable.
The matchmaker may be random, but the number of people in tier 10 queue, in my opinion, has a huge affect on where the tier 9 tanks go. I.e. less tier 10s will suck in tier 9s to make a battle, same with tier 8 numbers.
When i first heard they added this tank into the game i thought it was going to be a broken tier 10, since i remember its an mbt, and it was a tier 9, crazy wg balanced it well enough to fit it into the game to be a premium tier 9
It’s kinda funny that Kpz70 should have the best dispersion and aimtime out of all tanks in the game due to it has the best tech equip on Germany at the time. But again if you make Kpz70 being historically accurate No Heat rounds will able to pen it at all due to composite armor and Kpz 152mm gun actually should be able to house ATGM rounds as well. It would be fun to see that but it’s WOTB, so people will abuse the crap out of the vehicle systems. (Fun fact: Kpz70 should have laser range finder which means you should get the best aiming time than WZ121.)
While it could fire ATGMs irl, the autoloader didn’t work so well with them so it was manually loaded. And even then, the Germans didn’t really like the Shillelagh missile.

Its downsides are these: poor gun depression, poor gun handling, weak pen against tier 10 that you will see constantly, terrible armor with weak spots everywhere, weak alpha for HE for its caliber, and no camo. If its armor didn't suck so much I would forgive all its other flaws. It is the best looking tank in the game.

It's better to open mystery containers because of the 5% chance to get the certificate And because they're almost always on sale you can buy 5 for 1500 gold and have a 25% chance to get a free tank

For me, sometimes no matter what tank is it, i will always choose the Calibrated Shell, but if you want a DPM use Gun Rammer, but if you want pen and high DPS use Calibrated shell

KPz 70 is a modern (so to speak) MBT. It’s was prototype joint design between America and West Germany during the late 60s. The KPz 70 is the German variant with the MBT 70 being the American one.
Basically a premium tank that isn’t a premium tank. Something WG started when this tank came out. It doesn’t get the full premium bonuses but it gets more than if it were a regular tank.

The cupola on the t110e4 has spaced armor. So it can resist heat shells like what happened in your 1st game

Look at 2:34 min. The FV215b kills AMX 50 120. His turret flies on the back of E75 also red team. Check his damage loss and who will get damage.
