The fact the likes of wooldridge and cornhill have been benched for Anderson and olokuga is ridiculous- the difference is stark and if we wanna win games we need max and matty on the pitch
Max is essential but Devs probably just doesn’t want to put too many minutes on him at his age, cause they desperately rely on him, but with Nathan going forward so much though, having Matty do the same leaves them open on the counter, until pk comes back anderson is probably just safer, especially with midfield being rotated so much

@alxm1271 watch from @5:16 at .25x speed and tell me where the player made contact. The defender didn't try to tackle. He slid in front of him to block the shot. The contact is initiated when the hashtag player bends his knees and falls into him. Take off the tinted glasses and call it how it is.

The goals made by dover are insane, that harry pont guy.. crazy goals must say. Other then that should have put way more shots on target. Wasted to many chances
Dover will certainly be challenging for the league. Not the season we want at the moment but if the team can play most of their games like they done in the 1st half, we'll be rising up the table. The standard was very good

Even though on paper it was a bad loss, the performance was the best I’ve seen from the Tags this season, we actually built plays and not just crossed it 24/7. The difference in the result is consequence of the evident higher quality on their team
It seems like in most games that our defense is far too slow where as the opposition always have players that either keep pace or can recover when we breakaway. Cuba and Haysom lack pace.
I know everyone is struggling with Matty not being on the pitch, and I agree he's a massive player, but probably worth questioning whether something is happening in the background either personally or injury related that means that currently he can't play. Of course I could be wrong, but I don't think the guys at Hashtag underestimate wooldridge. Unlucky game boys, some unbelievable finishing from Dover, but I'm still confident we'll turn this around.
Challenge for Devs is to find a couple of players who can find the net. Been a real problem in this division. On the balance of chances alone that looked a winnable game.
Ted Curd was a very lucky loan signing who was miles better than this level though. Hashtag were fortunate to get him, it’s unlikely that they’ll get a keeper like that again so I feel like we need to let that go, people’s view on the standard of goalkeeping has become quite skewed because of him. You need to remember that last season when he was at Hashtag, a lot of the time he was the difference between a win and a draw or a draw and a loss, like he was putting in motm performances like every week.
Honestly, from what i am seeing, let this be an example of what is in the National League South if we did get promoted with Ted Curd last season WE ARE NOWHERE NEAR READY FOR THAT LEAGUE
ill be honest that keeper has costed a few goals/shots that should be saved not only in this game but through the season. hes far too small not good enough imo
To me it’s clear the defence is struggling this season conceding multiple goals a game maybe going to 3/5 at the back and using the pace of the forward players to counter might be the way to go

Id say this is the very first season where we see Hashtag truly struggling to keep up with the pace of the game at times and also forgetting to put away the chances you create. I wouldnt say this league is too high of a league, but they should truly try and retain a core of players you know are good, but also won't crumble or not give their all on the pitch. It's noticeable to see how lackluster the defending has been this entire season, obviously you've already seen that yourself. I hope you guys stay in this league and hopefully build towards a stronger team in the future.
Why is it that we continue to try walk the ball into the goal? We take so many touches in or around the box. Never any first time finishes. Wouldn’t be in this position if we just had someone who could finish or at least get onto the end of a cross. It’s so infuriating to watch, the quality is there but no one has a goal scoring instinct it seems. I remember Toby scoring screamers a couple season ago, and now he’s taking 23 touches infront of the sticks.
Absolutely, the team has too many touches inside the box amounting to never actually finishing. They should take a cue from how Dover scored a couple of their goals, and as you touched on Toby should try to bang screamers from the distance, he's got the balance and power to try it the way the Dover did in this game. Also why aim too high and too wide.
Always interesting to see the oppositions perspective on games, firstly very good video to watch. However, I get that there is a target audience but that highlight package flattered you a lot, Dover had just as many and probably more chances than Hashtag did, but barely any shown. Agree with you that we got away with not conceding a penalty in the first few minutes. No idea what your assistant is on about saying you were miles better in the first half, just not true. You were not a bad side at all, your attack was dangerous especially the number 7, poor defending and lack of concentration cost you that game and both sides could've scored more. Good luck for the rest of the season however and looking forward to the reverse fixture. COME ON DOVER!
They always show more hashtag chances as thats what the audience wants to see. The commentators today were Spencer (the club founder and owner) and his dad/club physio, so safe to say that there is some serious bias beyond your normal home commentators.
@VictorMurp I actually thought the commentary was quite good tbf it was just the highlightsi dont think accurately represent the game but i understand its catered for an audience. I saw Spencer after the game shook his hand, and despite watching his team lose, still was kind enough to talk to a Dover fan so big respect to him
@@TheRiverEnd1 oh yeah, he's a complete gentleman and a natural at commentary given his background in entertainment. I still think hes quite biased on commentary but when you spend your days running a football club, I would be highly suspicious if you weren't biased.
Gonna really need a better gk if you want to finish anywhere other than the relegation zone, especially the second goal you can clearly see he just doesnt have any football iq or anticipation skills. One side of the goal was blocked by players so the only place striker could shoot was where it came. Sure it was a great strike but a good gk saves that, or at least takes a step or two in advance, knowing where its gonna come
Just goes to show the difference between the top top sides and everyone else. Hashtag chance after chance and all Dover needed was a yard very clinical side. I thought sak and foxley had good games unlucky tags
I hate to be a negative fan, but it’s clear and obvious to see where we are falling short, it all starts from the back, Cuba is such a downgrade from Tommo, every time the tags concede it comes from him missing a challenge or being out of position, I would stick Cornhill in there. Matty has to start every game at RB as well.
I think from watching hashtag since the very start reality is sort of catching up with them on pitch. Lot of technically gifted young players but a real lack of ruthlessness across specifically the forward line which is why I assume they brought in Higgins. Sak, Camilo, Darren, Misha all great players but chance conversion is so so poor and unless they move away from the kind of recruitment model they have and bring in more seasoned veterans who probably aren’t as good for content I don’t see them getting out of the bottom half of this league moving forward.

Sure it was a great strike but a good gk saves that, or at least takes a step or two in advance, knowing where its gonna come
The difference is being clinical in front of goal dover scored worldies we can barley hit the target from 5 yards out
Been watching hashtag since the CREATION
Just put a outfield player at gk at this point
Just goes to show the difference between the top top sides and everyone else. Hashtag chance after chance and all Dover needed was a yard very clinical side. I thought sak and foxley had good games unlucky tags
This ref was reffing a game I watched ashford united vs three bridges he was shocking referee
I find your lack of Higgo disturbing…
in famous words of Nepenthez “PEN REFFFFFFFF”❤
Does pk humble not play for hashtag anymore?
He‘s injured.
No worries, the relegation battle is better for viewership numbers!
