Mam can u tell the literary devices used in Salarino's dialogue ' Not in love neither?.....'
Ma'am can you please answer what reason Nerissa gave for Portia's world weariness? I am confused about what exactly to write.
Nerissa says that if Portia had as much bad luck as she has wealth, then she could say that she was weary of her life. People who have a lot of wealth are often as sad as those who are very poor. The best is to be in between, neither too rich nor too poor. Being highly wealthy, is the reason of her weariness.
Clear?
@@ReshmiMukherjee thank you ma'am 😊

Mam ur way of explaining is superb👍
Thank you dear.
Wow!!!...Thank you So Much Ma'am..Superb explanation.

What did Portia mean by saying this great world in the first line.
Great world means whatever is happening around Portia in the world. The worldly affairs .She does not like it because her desire to make the choice of her own husband has not been granted to her by her father. She cannot marry the one she loves so she is depressed.
@@ReshmiMukherjee Mam I want to ask a personal question
Are you a teacher(please mention class also) or a brilliant RUclipsr teaching like genius.

Mam can u tell that when those kings from diff. Countries came . So which dare portia gave them.. that if she will be marry any one of them?
See they ran away because they had to first promise certain things.
They would never marry if they chose the wrong casket. This promise was very difficult to make. That's why even before choosing, they ran away.
Clear?
Thanks mam .. but can u tell something about caskets.. mam i am in class 7 and i like reading about m.o..vnice...
Caskets are boxes. One made of gold ,one silver, one lead. The one who can choose that casket in which Portia's picture is, he can marry Portia.
This is the main story. But the problem is you have to choose it correctly or you will never marry in your life. So people were afraid and they ran away. Finally Bassanio chose the correct casket.
@@ReshmiMukherjee ok mam... I understood... Thanks mam... Thank you so much helping me......... 😊😊😊😊😊

Kolkata, West Bengal
Thank you so much, Ma'am for your amazing explanation
Most welcome Aditi.
Mam what is the meaning of line the brain may devise laws for the blood ; but a hot temper leaps over cold decree
Check the video. It's mentioned in it in detail.
Mam u told that if they pik wrong box they should not marry if they try to marry what will happens mam
That is general ethics. They are noble people who follow their promises. If they cannot, they will not marry. That's it.
Thankyou so much😄😄
It helped alot👍🙏
It's very helpful for revision for board exam
Thank you Sayeeda.

Ma'am your videos really help a lot during exams , but you missed the line," but a hot temper leaps o'er a cold decree"
Ask in the live class.
26:15 ... does that mean Portia is poor in speaking English?
The text is written in English. Portia does not speak English
It was sooo good your teaching is amazing
thank you ma'am for such a good explanation. JUST A BIT QUERY THAT I WASNT ABLE TO GET THE LINE 19-24 WHICH WAS ABOUT THE BRAIN WHO MAKES LAWS FOR THE BODY. MA'AM CAN YOU REXPLAIN PLZZZZZ.
Young body has warm blood. It does not love to follow the wise advice of the brain. Just like a priest who gives speech of what is right and wrong but it's difficult for him too, to follow the same.
Thx a lot ma'am this complete playlist helped me a lot
Most welcome.
