    The story, (as I understand it) for Ryabko systema is that Mikhail Ryabko learned an older style from his father. Ryabko refined or modified it some and started teaching.
    There are several styles of Russian Systema that look similar but differ some in the way they are taught. All the styles claim to have come from ancient Russian martial arts.

    i've been practicing Systema for three weeks now, and one thing thats repeated every day is "Make it YOUR Systema". You can learn the punches, rolls, kicks, locks & breaks - but ultimately how YOU apply them which works best for you makes it effective. Other arts yer just regugitating what someone else came up with.

    I think the reason krav maga and systema are often discussed in the same breath is because: they're both pretty much 20th century MA technique syntheses that were refined by and for the military, and secondly they've both come into the public eye relatively recently. they're certainly very different though.

    Systema doesn't promise miracles...it is work, sweat, and tears

    I've been studying for 4 months now and this is not BS. Practising against students who have been there longer you really see how flimsy and easily manipulated the human body can be. Apparently some of the science and techniques were used on prisoners in Russian jails to see how well they worked. Like alot of people say try a class and you'll get a better understanding

    It is clear that practical martial arts for many years and it is very difficult to implement schemes on the street, which is why i am convinced that it is necessary to learn how to move, and is achieved the miracle. The item is to be able to cope with risk situations that do not always have to do with a fight to blows.

    @dinswok He works with tension in opponents obdy, with your momentum, timing and is always relaxed. He doesn't work against your actions. He works WITH them and one of the principles is distorting the axis of balance and taking out your supporting limbs, by moving your body in directions where its almost impossible to recover your balance form. Also there are no stances, no style, just fluid motions which grow from opponent exposing himself by being stiff and rigid while you remain relaxed

    I wish I could! I'll try and look around and see what I can come up with.

    @jonoderidder actually, systema has been around since the 10th century.

  • @StrengthFromAbove83

    @NewZealfighter the roots of systema come from the Russian Knights and Slav/Cossack warriors. It's a faith-based system that was also passed down through monks in monasteries. Systema isn't really a "style". It's natural, biomechanical movement.

    It all depends on who you are, and what work for you. Unorthodox ways may seem to work for some, while others stick to the more mainstream and popular martial arts. I'm not saying Systema is unorthodox, but people tends to group this with Krav Maga - which is a fail. I've tried attacking an experienced Systema practioneer, and it felt quite uncomfortable when he struck me and threw down.

  • @recshooter

    All I can say is try it. Mikhail and Vlad have an open door on challenges I believe.
    They guy I did the first "systema punch" on wasn't a systema guy. He tensed his muscles up but my punch went in like going through butter. I've had about 20 years experience in martial arts, I've seen plenty of fake stuff. This is not it.

  • @recshooter
    @recshooter  16 лет назад

    Yes it does, it is simple physics, and I have used a punch like that.

    by your comment im judging that you have used systema in combat, may you share with me, your experience while in the fight or fights, how did you felt? did you felt in control the whole fight? where you able to pull off the moves we see in the videos of systema? how long have you been doing systema? and how much do you think a practioner skill would incease if he practiced every day for 5 years and then 10 years? im very curious about this art and i want to start my classes sometime next year

    Рябко - это титан просто . Я думаю его удар не сколько физический - сколько передача энергии . Это трудно обьяснить - но такое могут единицы

    20th century? only because people haven't KNOWN of systema. Its been around since the 900's. KRAV is new. post WW2.

    Wow! Thanks!

  • @recshooter
    @recshooter  16 лет назад +1

    Well one could say the same for Krav Maga...Every time they do a technique they don't actually hit the throat or groin. There are plenty of people that think Krav is rubbish (I'm not one). People do get hurt in systema but that is avoided as much as possible. The goal of systema is to build you up not tear your body down I'll send you some vids of harder work in systema..youtube will not let you post them here.

    Or if you are not faking anything you simply don't care if it looks fake to other people.

    @7chegevara7 do you think that the gyes come to Systema and after 2 days they are martial art masters?

  • @recshooter
    @recshooter  16 лет назад +1

    yes..I've seen, I know. I'm saying that not EVERY technique is padded up sparring in Krav.
    Did you get the two videos I sent you?

    Lots of us know from experience how effective Systema is, and few feel the need to go around denigrating other people's arts to prop up their own egos. Go to a class. See for yourself how light contact it is. Ever been punched by Vlad? I have, and have studied alongside many men who were high ranking instructors in other arts who dropped them like a bad girlfriend when they found Systema, men who taught the arts you cited. Do some research into why Putin is such a good fighter.

    In KM training they do wear pads and injuries are sustained. Just look for Fight Quest or Human Weapon Krav Maga videos.

  • @chairde

    Любой, кто преподает это людям, только помещает тех студентов способом вреда. Нет никакого научного основания для этих 'ударов', чтобы быть эффективным. Это просто не будет работать.

  • @chairde
    @chairde 16 лет назад

    Please tell me why everyone jumps and flips but no body ever gets hurt? In all of the other Arts people spar with pads so not to get hurt but in this no body is every hurt or even gets a bloody nose and no pads are used.

  • @Shatric

    its true.. some off the punches are effective.. i use short distance punches in vale tudo as well.. but nothing beats a really hard hook or a straight.. sorry but if u want the really effective stuff.. its simply things like krav maga and vale tudo..all the submissions and locks i have seen in this systema you also have in vale tudo or/and krav maga.. and about the punches: its god but nothing beats a hard hook(elbow and like)

    @recshooter Ancient Russian martial art was definitely far from being a crowd of hypnotists... don't believe it my friend - it is 100% crap with one only aim - your pocket's / wallet's / cc's content.

  • @chairde

    You have been brainwashed into believing this nonsense. These are just bad actors pretending to be overwhelmed with these obviously fake punches. No blood, no broken bones, no knock outs. If you ever get into a fight or a robbery situation you will put yourself in harm's way because of this nonsense.
