for those of you who confused why the colornames written on the paper weren't sloppy as the names do, it's simple. since colornames are absolute things (I mean, there will always be blue, green, red, and yellow, there will be no other chance), he perhaps use kind of transparent stickers that has the colornames on it written already (I dont know what exactly that thing is). so he simply put the stickers on the right order. while person's name is non-absolute thing (you really can't predict it), there is no other choice but to write it manually.
so I think there was no force to the judges, it's a beautiful, well-prepared slick-magic tricks.

The numbers he wrote as he was giving the envelopes while they were sitting in the chairs with a little piece of Pencil granite attached to his thumb. They were different little envelopes with no numbers on them that he switched out as he was walking up. Then He wrote the names as they were walking up to sit on the chairs. After he was already told the names that's why the names are sloppier Then all the rest of the writing. He went up first then you can see him fiddling with the paper. Because the numbers were not written on the envelope and he knew which was red blue, green and yellow he just had to write the correct number with his thumb. They could have sat in any order and he could have given any of them any color. He knew which colors were in which envelopes. And then when they picked a number he wrote it on there.
For example howard is in the red chair. He knows which envelope holds the red paper. Howard picks the number and he writes it up there with the little granite on his fingertip.. Then Hands it to him
And again as for the names. He.wrote those as he was walking up to the chair's before the judges walked up there but after theyve already said the names they were thinking out loud.
Everything else was pre written. He only had to add the names, which is why they are a bit slopier than the rest of the writing. I know I already said this but just reiterating

The names at the end are a bit messier but what about the ones at the front. They are written the exact same as the other words.. so how does that get explained? Also, it's impossible to write down 8 names (of which 4 you have to memorise for 5 minutes in the midst of an intense trick, and also remember which judges chose which name), whilst the paper is folded, and he would have to be constantly rearranging to paper to the correct positions to write the names, and then write them all without looking!

when people below are asking how he forced the color I think what they really mean is how did he get the letter reveals in the correct order. look again at the final letter he even has it in the correct order he has MEL listed first then HOWARD. etc.
my logic I believe the letter was already written except the name of the judge and their choice of family member. he couldn't write the names till they sat down he then wrote the name MEL and STEFON. then went to line #2 and wrote Howard the first word and Bianca the last word. that way they were in order. illusionist / magician fold and bend cards to appear a certain I believe he did the same thing so he could then write those names with his thumb writer. this would take a ton of practice but also on that big of stage the camera are on the judges more than him

    • @kostsan
      @kostsan 5 лет назад +3

this was my thought too... but the judge's name are so well written.. the person's names are clearly sloppy written.. maybe he used two thumb markers, one in each thumb? So he used his right thumb to right down the judge's names (better writting using his good hand) and his left thumb to right the person's names (hence the sloppy writting)

and um Stepehn Zoccoli you are whom exactly?
I think he only wrote the names of the person the judges swore on. As for the colours he would have kept asking them to play musical chairs until they were in correct position (he strongly hinted where he wanted them to sit, saying mix it up:usually the guys sit on the end, he knew saying that would make it likely the ladies would go to the ends and vice versa) - this seems plausible but also risky as it may have taken quite a few swaps which would have looked less impressive

    • @stephenzoccoli9315

+Blair Wilson I believe that how I explained it, that was how it was done.It would have been way to risky to do it the way you said. I could see this trick going very wrong with your explanation. all they would have to say is, that they don't want to move anymore, then the trick wouldn't work. The only thing that bothers me is he got the order right on the paper; Mel red, Howard blue, so on in the exact order they were sitting. If he has the judges names prewritten and writes the colors, is it just chance that they sat down in the order of the names on the paper (Mel, Howard, Howie, Heidi)? even though u are a bottom feeder, i'll give you a tip. you got most of it right, the change of order of envelopes etc. that was obvious, part of magic is "slight of hand" he did good on that. But what you, and most of the commentators did not get right is the "special envelope", his envelope did NOT contain one paper, it contained grand max 16... papers. on which there was all the judges names written and "their" seats. that's why no "weird" writing, that was all prep'd, he just had to choose the one out of 16 with the right order.
Then he added the names on which they swore, with some sort of a finger pen or the paper is just sensitive to the pressure of a finger, obv, all the text was written the same way so as the new words (only 4, names) won't stand out.
obv again, the personnel attaching the clips to the clothes was the way to gain time for him to write down. but he didn't need as much, he was quick to write, when they were there, he already finished the additional names.
Superb trick anyway. blew my mind, and was very entertaining.
You don't need to explain how magicians do their thing, we all know it mostly hand and eye tricks.

watch it again, there's no way there are that many papers in that small envelope. It would have had to be heavily stuffed, but it is the same thickness of the other envelopes. Also, after showing his picture, its unfolded for about 5 secs only, then its folded back and remains folded. Don't see the opportunity to write the names in unless he can do it while the paper is folded and never moving his hand. He would need to write in names all in 4 different positions on the paper. Also he was gripping the paper with 4 visible fingers in front and his thumb behind. You need the thumb to press against the fingers to hold the paper still, so there is no way the thumb could be writing out names at the same time. I timed it and while doing the chair thing, he had 65 secs, which would have been about 15 secs per name, which sounds doable, but the paper stayed folded. Its obvious the swear-names are in sloppier text so were written in somehow in real-time. I've read thru this entire thread, and don't find any really convincing answers to when/how the names got added based on the observations above.
