I'm just starting my MM2 project; thank you for your insights into how the modules work.
Well thank you for the nice comment! 😄
Yes this was a great introduction to the MM2 software. it helped me get started and fix the weather Mod. In depth stuff will be welcomed.
Amazing tutorial. Simple, clean and straight to the point. I also love the comedic parts :)
Thanks Jamie, I appreciate the comment! :)
Wow amazing video dude, thank you for making this process clearer, I'm not familiar with writing code or even terminal style workflow so this video really made things easy for me :)
Glad to hear Steve! 😊 Keep an eye out for how to add a voice assistant to your mirror!
Thanks you very much from France, your video is very clear and it seems more easy for me. i will try this week end to install magicmirror at home. Congratulations. Regards
Makes me very happy that you find it helpful! Good luck and let me know how it goes buddy 🤜🏼🤛🏼
this was sooooo helpful. I made a mirror then tried to fix the weather and i guess i broke the code but your channel was certainly fantastic and helped me get started... now if only it would not delete when i turn on
Never give up, never surrender! You'll get there. 😆 Glad I could help out, and thanks for your kind words 👍🏼👍🏼

Thanks I got on the first try. Big improvement for me I guess I am retaining some stuff in my one brain cell. But it was probably the way you explained it. Thanks again

Hello bro. Please provide a tutorial on how to use a PIR sensor to the Magic mirror to allow the monitor to only turn on when motion is detected, I have searched the entire you I could find a proper guide. I’ll really appreciate if you can respond
Wow Dude that is the best tutorial I’ve seen as a complete nob. Need to try this out . Big thanks
I should put your comment in my resume 😄 Good luck dude, and let me know how it goes! 👍🏼👍🏼
Your video can be called a magic kick. Thanks a lot.
✌️🏼😁 Glad you like it!
With Amazon alexa having added many restrictions, can you please walk me through installing any of the voice control modules which would work for the present time. Will be great to get a part of your knowledge.
Sure buddy, I'll look into an episode just about that. Thanks for watching 👍🏼
What programming language does it use
Hi, any Idea when the next Episode will be online. I am very anxious to follow your Tutorial in vocie recognision and Module notifications.
Hello Daniel! Happy you like the videos! Don't be anxious though, more episodes are on the way 😅 Voice recognition is already in the pipeline but I will add module notifications to the list. Action. Drama. Excitement. See you soon 👍🏼
@@HootieStyleChannel Glad to hear that. I have got a Magic mirror Set Up, using room-assistant and rhasspy, communicating with my openhab. I Just can't get these notifications to Work with mqtt.
At 11.02 ,how are you cleaning that up and moving the lines over?
Not sure what you mean exactly. I just right click and paste, then just move cursor with keyboard arrows and press enter and correct spacing with tab :)
Hi there it appears on the magic Mirror documentation. They’ve changed how to install nodejs so how do I install it? Because I don’t know how to?
Time has been a rare resource lately 😅 I'll look into this.
hey how do i get magic mirror to start after installing magic mirror softwear and shutting it down ?
Hi Peter, just type cd MagicMirror and then npm start, just like in the video. 👍🏼
@@HootieStyleChannel Thank you I got it done, you make it so easy
After magic mirror installed i shutdown Rpi & when i restart whole terminal is blank npm start command shows error can tell me solution????
Yo Utkarsh! If I had to guess you're not in the magic mirror folder. Make sure you type 'cd MagicMirror' if that's your install folder and run npm start in that folder! Good luck 👍🏼
is it possible to edit config from windows thru like smb?
Hey there! Yes, but you'd still need to restart MM for the effects to take place. Easiest way is to install Gateway by bugsounet. You'll get a web interface for editing config and a restart button. 🍻
@@HootieStyleChannel Thank you :)
T 101 exp: "HIT ENTER" "MOVE ON". UHHHH. COOL THINGYS DID STUFF HOLD ON
I know this comment comes a year after you made this video. Which is great. However they seem to have changed the first step in the installing the Nodejs. So now I have to figure out how to install the node. Also when I went to git hub and copied and pasted the code it said no such file :(
Thanks for letting me know, I'll look into it 😊
Sir I got error when I was running the nmp start it shows electron not found what to do?? It's my final year project I have submit it within week so plz give me solution
Hey Rajendra, it's almost impossible to know what you've missed. I suggest you redo the steps from the beginning and make sure you don't miss anything. You can check your terminal after each run command to exclude errors. It's a pretty straight forward installation process. Good luck!
@@HootieStyleChannel I follow many times a same step
Can I get your contact by which I send the error what I got
@@Nayebharatkanirmandid you find a fix? I’m running into the same issue
I'm doing everything the same way and getting permission denied after npm install
Try sudo npm install
@@HootieStyleChannel I did format the sd card and started everything again, instead of 'npm run instal-mm' like in the guide on website I've used 'npm install' and it worked
Glad you figured it out man 😊👍🏼
I’ve seen people use raspberry pi zero for magic mirror, is that legit?
Hey Klove and welcome to HSC! Yes, it can be done, but it's not a straight forward installation. Also, you won't get smooth animations with Zero, so unless you absolutely have to, I'd go with something more powerful.

Could you make another video while talking less, and installing more videos, making a nice looking comprehensive MM setup?
Like, subscribe and... many thanks. ...decided to make tea
😂 Merry Christmas ☕️🎄 Now the adventure starts with modules, voice assistant etc. Enjoy!
