I didn't like black coffee until I had Ethiopian❤ the ceremony is truly unique and it raises my serotonin levels. It makes me happy and makes me feel like I am somewhere special and peaceful. You are right, my friend at the Ethiopian Cafe here in Chicago told me that most coffee beans come from Ethiopia but the credit is not given. Ethiopia has the best coffee ❤️
Mate your enthusiasm to explore other people's culture deeply is unmatched. I have never seen such willingness before in any human being. KUDOS to you my friend.
What I like is that the coffee hasn't been processed with added enhancers and it must be organic. I am not a coffee drinker but given the chance I think I will down Ethiopian coffee...Thanks Myer..Good job.
You blend in so well with the culture and the people it is amazing. The way you talk, greet them, and interact with them says a lot, especially your facial expressions, just reminds me of some of the Ethiopian people I know of.
Kocch is made from a type of banana plant called enset- where it does through a process of fermentation to make it into a powdered form. From there it can be baked or used to make a porridge.

Here is my explanation how coffee ceremony takes place and the history. In Ethioian coffee ceremony it is common to prepare it three times in one row which are called Abol Tonna and Bereka. The history comes like this; Im the very back then in the place called keffa, where the coffe bean is belived to be originated, there were three men and once upon a time they were to sit and discuss on one big social issue. By the time they used to prepare coffee during the discussion. Until the finalization of the discussion they prepare the coffee three times. Since then theire precidecer used to make coffe three times for the commimoration of these big mans.
Hi Myre welcome back with new blog showing us Addis again. Also we start watching your videos as a family with my husband and my kids. Telling my kids that is my neighborhood , I studied 11 & 12 they call it preparatory (Pre to University) in Bole high school which is next to Medhanalme Church . Addis rain is boring I remembered sometimes it rains all day you should buy umbrella ☔️. Also please be alert and vigilant. Those two guys who we’re following you were trying to pickpocket. I can definitely tell one was trying to distract you the other looking down to your pockets. That is one of the techniques ,my dad experienced the exact same thing when he was in Addis. Be safe brother
