I've been very lucky to visit the Radiophonic workshop I went with my late dad to visit. Sometimes I'd phone up for help with school homework when mum and dad didn't know. They mean an awful lot to me as friends
I was there, in the back row, enjoying every minute of it. Also had a tour of Maida Vale in the mid 90s shortly after joining the Beeb - I think it was Richard Attree who showed us the RW.
Great to see this one popping up, as we are about to announce another reissue from one man band who has been part of it since 1983! soundcloud.com/littlebeatdifferent/sets/alexander-goldscheider-lbdissues002-snippets
You haven't? Oh, well then, you probably should. 😉 Be warned if you watch from the start (An Unearthly Child, originally broadcast 23.11.1963), as quite a portion of the 60s episodes have gone missing. The BBC seem to be semi-trying to find them though. I remember the first ever time (in my timestream) which I watched Doctor Who was in 2012 or 2013, on ABC (Australian Broadcasting Corp). The episode, if I recall correctly, was The Angels Take Manhattan. The Weeping Angels creeped me out.
there's a huge difference between the Radiophonic Workshop and the french Musique Concrète: the French are posh and boring; there's not an ounce of fun in their music; I've tried...

Wow, I had no idea this had happened! I wish the concert were available on DVD...
Be brilliant if it was. It's the only way I'd get to see anything like this.
