Also, I can confirm: guns are so much louder than you’re imagining. I could barely hear anyone talking through my earmuffs and a 9mm was still so loud that I could feel it in my chest.
I mean, 9mm is actually fairly large compared to most rifle rounds, and the barrels are shorter. 556 is fairly quiet in comparison, especially indoors.
Generally rifles are much easier to shoot since there’s much more stability compared to pistols. If you get the chance to shoot 5.56, indoors I recommend doubling up on hearing protection, in ear and over ear since it’s super loud compared to 9mm

Something my dad and Uncle taught me my first time is to squeeze the trigger slowly, and if you're "surprised" when the gun actually fires, usually that means you're on target. Squeeze it too fast and you'll likely miss. Trying to compensate for recoil with a gun is usually why people miss, and you have to treat it like the gun is its own entity that fires when it wants to. This advice in mind I was a really good shot despite it being my first time. I could be mis-remembering the exact advice so don't take this advice professionally, always listen to your instructor first.
Subaru: Doesn't fuss the details, but doesn't miss. Mio: Laser focus when the chips are down. Reliable results. Elite: Zero skill, misses most of her shots, but lucks into headshots. Perfectly on brand.

Loudness is probably the thing most people don't expect when they shoot for the first time. Guns are LOUD. Far louder than you're expecting. There's a reason you need ear protection before stepping on the range. The other thing is recoil, especially with handguns. Those things kick.
"And the place was called "Battlefield"" Battlefield Vegas? Haven't been there but I've heard they have a HUGE online pressence. Whenever New Vegas is talked about, this place sometimes get mentioned if the ones who talked about it pass by on this place.

Mio is an honorary American with that aim. Wow! Subaru, too. They both pass. Mikochi is gonna have to try again, though lol. She's probably flinching and anticipating the recoil, and/or jerking the trigger. Pretty common for new shooters. Still, glad they all had fun.
That's awesome how Mio discovered a new talent. That must be a great confidence booster. Apparently there are some airsoft ranges in Japan, so I wonder if she'll follow up on this now that she's back home. If she's already this good as a novice, just imagine what she'd be like after some training. I also wonder if Botan will ever go back to Vegas and visit Battlefield. It'd be interesting to see how well she'd do.
I suspect Miko was closing her eyes when she pulled the trigger and she was jerking it instead of pulling smoothly, throwing her aim off at the last second. They mentioned ear plugs instead of shooting headsets which might explain why they thought the noise was really loud which would have increased the intimidation factor for someone who had never fired a gun before.
I think it's likely Miko, and all three, were anticipating for the recoil and are squeezing the trigger too hard, and for Mio and Subaru, were aiming with only one eye open; my best experiences tend to be placing a firm grip and pulling the trigger smoothly, and both eyes open focused on the target, both for rifle and pistol. I also think they should have been given ear defenders anyway instead, if their appearance alone helps soothe new shooters

You quickly understand how a machine gunner comes home from service with 50% of his hearing missing.
Mio is really fucking accurate, huh.
I mean just look at that, it’s all grouped up in this one little spot, that’s really good
5:15 "Hold on. This whole operation was your idea."
Mikochi when shooting in real life: "scared"
Also Miko in game: 😈🔥🔥🔥
There's always a part of me that feels a bit of happiness watching foreigners talk about how much fun they had at a gun range! Makes me want to go to a gun range again! Glad they had fun! Hope they found their passports!
Thanks for the translation, JShay!
Love it when people who are in a country without guns get to understand why Americans are so passionate about them.
@@kalamari3288Yeah, and I don't think I've ever seen someone stay scared of guns after handling them.
Once it's in their hand it usually clicks that it feels the same as any other tool. Like yeah, a hammer or knife can mess you up too, but in the hand, it's not like it's trying to bite you
Looks like Miko's shooting instructor still hasn't seen Miko's GTA stream :)
Instructor takes gun away. "Stay home."
Damn, so they beat Botan to the punch, huh?
Maybe she and Korone were too busy with EVO when they were in Vegas.
So Miko's shooting in the Resident Evil clip is an accurate representation of her real life shooting skills.
Now I wonder how the more shooter inclined holomem like Botan or Towa would come out.
Poor Miko, lol.
Very surprised at Mio's shooting though. It's really good for a beginner.
This seems like a lesson in who listens to direction best and remains calm. Two critical traits for beginners.
Mike clearly had stance and grip issues.
mike lmao
Mike XD
Who's Mike? 💀
I went to Battlefield Vegas last year as part of a US roadtrip, and it was by far the best part of Las Vegas. Firing an AK-47 full auto for the first time was absolutely insane yet soo much fun!
If you're in Vegas for whatever reason, it's a must go-to stop imo!
Those bullets grouping is telling about their irl physique build lol
Smart Instructor! Holy crap! Mio is a profesional
1:46 Somehow, naming your shooting range "Battlefield" and having tanks out front seems very Vegas to me. (Wait until Elvis rolls up to you riding on top of the tank and then marries you, lol.)
If anyone's seen Gunslinger Girl, I'm imagining the scene where Henrietta points a jammed gun straight at her eye, just with Miko and some poor range instructor trying to take it out of her hand.
miko is the scariest to fight against. even you have mind reading ability you couldnt predict her shots.
Do NOT be the person directly left of the person miko does not like lol
One of those rare instances where the target is the safest thing in the room.
That's fitting for Miko. I wonder how much of that was elite energy vs how much was nervous energy from losing her passport.
Pure inexperience. Beginner shooters pull left when firing.
"King Kong's got nothing on me aaaahhhhh!!!"
Some GTA 3 style shooting right there
Stress from the missing passport is extremely nerve-wracking.
Mama's gotta protect her kids
or keep them in line
Truly Mikochi stormtrooper moment 😭
Stop spreading that myth. Stormtroopers have good aim.
@@jm329Better than the sand people at least.
Both the in setting and IRL ones.
Miko IS the only one who landed some headshots, but it remains to be seen if those were intentional
Aim for headshots? You mean fire quickly and let recoil do its job?
If we're going about it that way, she's also the only one who got multiple dudes lol
@@scottbecker4367 Elite Miko never makes mistakes. This was deliberate, I tell you!
@@MrCh0o Common Miko W
@@olivercharles2930 Elite Miko knows the exact amount of recoil. She clearly aimed to incapacitate with the first shot, then kill with the second. Truly elite.
So, always stand on Miko's right when talking to her while she's armed. Got it. 👍
Mio-shan shoulda been a marksman, that is impressive and deadly.
Mio can concentrate even under pain. Subaru is more relaxed in stress. Miko is Miko.
Lol the instructor got worried about Miko might turn the gun around towards them and not down the range anymore if she kept shooting 😂
God I love Miko! Please never stop being awesome!
Subaru: Doesn't fuss the details, but doesn't miss.
Mio: Laser focus when the chips are down. Reliable results.
Elite: Zero skill, misses most of her shots, but lucks into headshots.
Perfectly on brand.
Good judgement made by the instructor, giving a beginner like mikochi auto would be disastrous lol😂
its funny how much their aim fits each of their personalities that it was obvious at the start whos was whos 🤣
Exactly.
Subaru may have hit the target more, but Mio is the one that's actually impressive. Miko's...well she can always improve.
Mio’s grouping is actually great for a first time shooter. This patterns means she isn’t flinching through the trigger pull and is maintaining a steady grip and stance. Be like Mio.
Miko: my passport is gone
Mio: my passport and wallet are gone
Subaru: let's shoot guns
Miko was just going for that aoe dmg guys.
Gotta master that suppressive fire
@@aboriginite She definitely managed to demoralize the instructor 🤣
the first time you shoot a real gun you really feel the gravity of whats in your hands, like that thing has the power toend lives E_E, felt the same way my first time driving
It's nothing to be feared, but respected.
I've never seen anyone who doesn't have an energy when shooting. Theirs even a series of videos of people who are anti gun getting a chance to actually try them and it's like they get possessed by the American Spirit. Theirs a weird rush to it only understood by someone who holds them. It's weird
@@Fxrrxt2x It is absolutely something to be feared lol
It is like a lion. Yeah, I respect animals and all that, but... I am not getting anywhere near a lion.
@@olivercharles2930 Bad people with guns are to be feared. But good people carry them as well.
@@olivercharles2930that sounds like a healthy respect/fear to me
Loudness is probably the thing most people don't expect when they shoot for the first time. Guns are LOUD. Far louder than you're expecting. There's a reason you need ear protection before stepping on the range. The other thing is recoil, especially with handguns. Those things kick.
Don't mess with Mio, she's a pro lol. That grouping is incredible
just imagining the local RSO watch as three Japanese girls walk in
"And the place was called "Battlefield""
Battlefield Vegas? Haven't been there but I've heard they have a HUGE online pressence. Whenever New Vegas is talked about, this place sometimes get mentioned if the ones who talked about it pass by on this place.
Miko can hit a target. As long as they’re standing on the left.
The baker did better than the officer and police chief. 😂
Wife of Koron Ramsey is strong.
Accurate for the US. Lol
Miko is truly the sanest GTA player xD
I wonder how accurate Botan will be if Mio was that accurate
Looks like Mio-mama's longtime service in the Earth Defense Force paid off.
So messing with a terrified Mio is a terrible idea.
Miko: Can I brrrr too?
Gun instructor: I forgot. No full auto in the building
Damn, Mio-sha's a crackshot
The sound of Freedom
Yes yes
The Americanization plan begins..myeeeees
That just means Miko is a natural shotgun enthusiast. Ain't nobody got time to aim.
With birdshot in a sawed off, maybe. Buckshot is normally still only a fist sized group to aim
Mio’s grouping is insanely good for a first time shooter
was just there a few moths ago, great staff and easy to get in and out. The vehicles outside are helicopters and tanks as well as some armored vehicles.
Mio is a natural, honorary american
Mio has good grouping
This doesn't surprise me with Mio. She just seems like the type.
Jesus Christ Mio's is actually amazing for her first time
turns out the safest place to be is apparently the front of the barrel of Miko's gun, especially with that accuracy.
I KNEW IT
I knew the accurate as Hell one is Mio’s
It’s always the sleepers
God; I Love Her
Miko is specialized on explosive properties, she may best at bombing
But Miko hits the nut shots everytime !
mio on that c-clamp
I also think they should have been given ear defenders anyway instead, if their appearance alone helps soothe new shooters
note to self do not piss Mio off while she holding a gun, because you can hide but you can't run
You're safe with Mikochi as long as she's pointing the gun directly at you
Reminds me of Kirino in Blue Archive.
Hololive couldn't deny the AK-47 allegations anymore
as a competition shooter occasionally, well done mio, if you ever kept it up you would be an excelent marksman, subaru not bad for a beginner, miko....miko you need to take firearm safty courses for the safety of everyone
nah.. that can't be mio's 1st time at a shooting range. no way lol
Well, on today stream she said she has prior experience....in Disneyland. So Westernland Shootin' Gallery.
It be hilarious if one of these days at Creator Range Day, a bunch of mysterious masked Japanese women showed up and one of them in barely coherent English started screaming "ENGRISH MADAFAKA DO U SPEAK IT?"
There's a 'sniperwolf' out there, but Mio's the REAL sniper wolf.🖤
1:00 Mmikochi got a headshot
Brilliant. Japanese anime girls and American GUNS. 10/10 combo.
I hope they all had fun visiting Las Vegas! I misread the title and thought Mio-sha was the bad shot lol.
My most recent visit to a gun range was a lot like they described. I've shot guns before, but this last time, the rapport was so loud even through the ear plugs that I was shaking. Had trouble reloading a few times because of, but it was still fun 😄
It absolutely fits my mental impression of Subaru that she was able to relax and enjoy the experience so easily
Remind me NEVER to make mama Mio mad, EVER.
Damn now im wondering how good Botan IRL
Mio has a pretty precise aim considering she was distressed that time. She can pretty much be a hired killer in another life.
