Niners oline was ranked 21st last year only reason it wasn’t lower is because of Trent and they have to contemplate on paying him ?
Trent is the most indispensable player the Niners have. He is their best player (to me it's not even close). They simply can't win without him.

Yeah they have no chance without him at all and the fact they haven’t paid him yet but paid CMC (who deserved his money) before him is crazy. All those weapons mean nothing if purdy doesn’t have time to get the ball to them.
@Jay-r6s1i Problem is SF are trying to enjoy all their assets and are unwilling to pay for them because they are SBOB. They need to sacrifice something to pay for all those elite players they have, especially with Purdy's contract on the horizon. They're going for broke this season and next offseason will see them reinvest in the draft and see some major names leave the franchise.
Yes, they have to contemplate it because there is a cap. Many people don't realize that SF is already over the cap next year even without Aiyuk, and they still have to think about signing Brock to a $50M+ contract. Trent is currently under contract for 3 more years, but none of it is guaranteed and he is 36. Like Nick said they will have to move on from multiple guys next year, and Trent is easy because of age and no guarantees.
@@justified004 they’re not doing anything without Trent he’s the best player on that team regardless of age he still dominates. Their problem is them paying deebo all that money after one season now they have no money to give out to their most valuable player.

As a big patriots fan. I believe we were very fortunate to get Drake. I’m glad Chicago and Washington did not take him. In three years, he will be 24. He’s going to get faster and stronger and he will be leading us deep into the playoffs that year. He won’t even be in his prime then. Patriots have never ever had a quarterback, who is very athletic, who can run and still be extremely accurate. Good luck, preparing for him when he takes over next year after we use our top pick to get the best tackle. When he does take over next season, he’s going to come out so freaking hungry. I am also happy. He is not starting week one when we arguably have the hardest schedule in the NFL. Drake is ready, but the wine protecting him for the patriots is not, and he is too young and no need to start him right now.

So get the best one and then let Drake take over while hopefully adding a good veteran receiver. We don’t need the best receiver or a top five guy. Just someone that’s good. Chicago getting Keenan Allen. He’s passed his prime but he’s still a solid veteran to have.

And everyone overlooks how stacked the Bengals were when they went to the Superbowl. Its not easy to win, injuries play a huge part. I mean they were down their starting safety, and lost their star LB in the second quarter and were one play away from winning a SB. It happens. But they aren't the only stacked team not winning.

@@itheGuillen Even if you let Deebo go, you have 6 more players eating most of the cap and you have to pay Purdy and also Ward, Lenoir and Hufanga are expecting contracts. Also, most of that core is getting old. So far the strategy of the Niners has been get good players through draft or close holes via FA: Trent was FA, Hargreaves was FA, CMC was FA , Ward was FA. They were able to pay those guys because they didnt have to pay a QB. That is going to change.

It's ridiculous that this panel said the Patriots made a mistake taking Drake if they weren't ready to start him right away. I believe Drake has the talent to become a very special QB in this league and you can't pass that up. He is the future and is still very young and raw. Starting Jacoby Brissett and allowing Drake to sit and learn is the correct decision, and it doesn't mean that they shouldn't have drafted Drake. This is a rebuild that is going to take time. You always start with the quarterback though.

Next year’s qb class isn’t as strong so who knows how much good that giants pick would do. If you like the guy that’s available to you, you should take him. Who cares if it takes an extra year?
