Don’t usually comment on videos, but I stumbled across this video and it’s terrific, and just want to show some support. The game idea is great and I really like your art style and thought/work process! Keep up the good work
Had some good points that are likely relatable to moat game devs. Sometimes splitting attention leads to multiple unfinished games but sometimes its necessary to switch things up to avoid burnout.
A really nice cozy devlog :D. Thank you for inspiration to keep working on my own game. I find it hard to use "game engines" so my game is written in Rust and Bevy
i love ui work, maybe because it gives so much freedom compared to many menus you see today, instead why not create something new like you did? the ui looks very good imo!
This looks great. Did you draw all the artwork in the game yourself? I've always wondered how long it actually takes to draw all the assets in a game like say Pokemon Fire Red/Leaf Green
Thank you! Everything is hand drawn/pixeled. I think it took anywhere from 10 minutes to a few hours depending on the size of what I made. I used a set color palette and made the game quite small to save time (The base size is 320x180). The biggest time loss is figuring out what you want to draw, rather than the actual drawing though 😅
You had a lot of fun sprinting, eh? You know what that means? It means that you had fun doing the thing you would be doing for 99% of the game if you were to make it. Consider that.
It depends what style you're going for. I use Aseprite for pixel art and Krita for everything else. I recommend Aseprite for pixel art, but any program with pixel editing (photoshop, GIMP, paint.net etc.) works
How Can I Transfer Data Into Another Scene Like Coins Collected in a game should be store and display in another scene (I Used Global Script Method to resolve this problem but it doesn't work as it's show the actual value of coin which is zero when i declare the variable coin) > Please Help me out i am frustrated 😫
This is still really early in development so I haven't thought much about it yet. It would definitely be on PC and mobile is possible but not sure if I would develop for it
Well, it looks better to me! Taste really is subjective. Just a few things to consider - The rock textures are really bad, it's unpleasant to look at - The color tone you used gives a "sad" vibe - Your art needs a bit of randomness to look natural - The textures look flat, without depth, I think. Try adding shading - Try to add some movement to the environment, grass, trees, etc. Overall, you are doing great, congrats and good luck!
why doesnt this have more views its really well made
Thanks! One day I hope 😅
just commenting to give you some engagement for the algo. Great video, keep it up!

@@VogyBear I have zero art skills and I can still tell you put a lot of effort in. Keep up the great work and all the best to you! 😁

I use an if statement to make the number invisible if the number is less than 1.
Can it be played in mobile or offline

@@VogyBear can i help?

The thumbnail part of the game looks good but the game at 0:02 and some parts doesnt look good
I will do my best to make it look good!
