Olivia, I’m late getting to watch this. I’m here for the pink! The tree and everything you have created are so beautiful! My little terrier mix, Rosie, is also nervous about fireworks. We’re going to try the thunder shirt with her. Praying for a safe and happy July 4th for you and your precious family!
My little puppy it’s a nightmare she’s afraid of any loud noises motorcycles, loud cars, thunder, but especially fireworks. Luckily I still had some pills from when I had her spayed and I gave her a half of one of those and then I just held her because even though they truly mellowed her out, she still was shaking. Not quite as bad. But I don’t like to do that to her. I had not gotten a thundercoat, I didn’t know anyone that had used them, but I found someone recently and they said they thought they worked well. Also, I had, these things recommended to me, when is called HomeoPet Storm Stress and Rescue natural stress relief. She said she got them either on Amazon or at pet stores. I have not gotten them yet, but I definitely am gonna try. Cause I just don’t like using the medication from the doctor unless I absolutely have to. My Daisy is mostly poodle, but she also has Shih Tzu and Brussels griffin. My Abby that I lost two years ago was full blood poodle. Nothing bothered her. It didn’t matter thunder fireworks. She was cool with it. So this is a new experience for me.
Hi Olivia, I have a shitzu puppy, and he is terrified of thunder and fireworks, I do the same for my puppy,I just cradle him like a baby. Have a happy and safe 4th.
Beautiful decorations and some of those decorations would be so pretty for a bridal shower. I live in Florida so we get a lot of thunderstorms and my dog freaks out. She also doesn't like fireworks. I have to give my dog anxiety medicine from the vet along with using the Thunder vest. She also goes into my bathroom , it helps her feel more secure 🐶. So happy you had a good time in Florida. I am also a beach girl. I used to live walking distance to the beach until I got married. Still live close to the beach. Take care Olivia and Benji Bear❤

Love seeing you both. I had a cat that didn’t like thunder or fireworks. He find me crawling close to the floor and just holding him tight made him calm down pretty well. It’s so sad to see 😞 He’s gone now and we miss him terribly 😢
We used to give our dogs Benadryl, put them in a dark bedroom on a cozy bed and put on music. RUclips has doggy relaxation music. Turn it up a little. It seems to help their tension a little.

Thank you Olivia for amazing ideas. Evrything looks beautiful as always 🥰 Poor good boy Benji. I have a good boy too and we really don´t like fireworks. It´s just wasting of money. Here in Vienna are private fireworks practically forbiden, but many do not care. New Years Eve is the worst time for dogs and cats. There offer many ideas how to comfort your pets during this time but we tried and nothing really worked. The only thing that worked was, as you did, being near your pet and hold them tide or just pet them. We have to close all windows and go to bed 😃. This is where the dog and the cat feel secure.

I have had 4 Yorkies as well as a toy Poodle. When they are frightened, it is very important NOT to love them up and baby them because that tells them that their behaviour is good and it encourages the behaviour. It is better if you let them hid in a place or under a blanket where ever they feel safest. Trust me, this is not at all done to be cruel. It's in their best interest. God bless you Olivia
