Sharp looking! I especially appreciated your self funded approach of starting a small business that converts hardware into art. Very smart and fun! Good luck with that.
You have done to your Cardinal exactly what I want to do to my Arrow. I want to have red on top and black wings just as yours is but mines a low wing. I just redid the interior with a cloth from Airtex and I am extremely happy with my seats but I like yours seats. Your airplane is stunningly beautiful.
Beautiful aircraft, and lovely in either colour scheme. Think I slightly prefer the red/black. With no struts, imagine how sleek this would look if it had retractable gear too? Hope you don't mind me asking, but what kind of money would it go for? Regards Mark in the UK
They made a 177RG starting in 1971 I believe. It goes about 30mph faster than this one. A 68 cardinal done up like this one would probably go for $130,000-$160,000 with the current market.
I love the Colour scheme, the tyres are so nice too. Absolutely am in love with this B model, I believe the airworthiness directive recall fixed the empennage from stalling before the main wing. I love the big huge car-door size , I'm a big dude and need the massive opening and massive headroom, leg room and spaciousness. I also need a massive engine (at least 200 hp), so I'm going to need some kind of a kit to take it from 180hp to 200hp. Let's say a 1976 or 1977 model. I believe the '78 model was no different than the '77 model or I would just say get the '78 model due to better specs, but it doesn't have them. I think I would want the RG model however, I don't believe there were very many reports of failed in-flight retraction, if any in the later models.
Absolutely gorgeous Cardinal!❤

"I'm flying my Grandfather's plane" - that's super cool!
It looks great red and black. But man, that green was beautiful.
I loved that hammock thing :D
My Dad was a salesman in Cowtown late 60's, he borrowed one and we flew part of The All Texas Air Tour in it. Nice air to air shot!
what is "Cowtown"?

What a beautiful airplane. Love your paint scheme and no wing struts looks so sleek ! Thank You for the Video.
I Love Cessna 177. Congratulation. Amazon/Brasil.

wholesome.
cool plane.
Another great video as always Erik! Loved the walkaround and flying! Beautiful restoration!!
Excellent. Awesome aircraft, have fun and blessed flights
Nice!
I love my 177B! I would recommend 4 point BAS belts when funding allows. Shoulder harnesses are a huge safety improvement.
Man that thing is Cool! Custom Cessna 😎👍
Very nice acft ! Impressive ! I just bought a cardinal here in France, and most of the plastics need to be changed. Where did you get yours please ?
Super cool plane, I think I prefer the old color scheme though!
Does that have a constant speed prop? Almost looks like it could based on the prop entrance to the nose cone (spinner)

Texas Tech University color scheme
I could see Patrick Mahomes adapting to this color scheme quickly.
