Despite what lies Conservatives like peddling a majority of Americans do believe in Socialist ideas like Medicare For All, Livable Wage, & know Billionaires are the ones pushing Austerity over progress.

Might be helpful if we get away from the notion that providing welfare, Health care and being ethical is somehow 'socialist'.
While that narrative remains uncontested it'll always be under attack.

Keynesianism might seem close to austerity to YOU, but if you are a working class person, then you know they are very different.
There’s a huge difference between free healthcare, free education, guaranteed housing, etc. and having no healthcare, no education and no home (even working class people who have jobs are homeless: 44% of US homeless people have jobs).
Achieving these basic Keynesian reforms not only makes a huge difference to human happiness, but also gives working class people much more time & energy to focus on political participation, so we can build socialism.

You prevent austerity measures by having the basic necessities of existing in a society so much larger than we are designed for. You also remove resource ownership for the private sector. Oil companies should not be paid to steal our oil and hedge fund landlords shouldn't be able to own the land. We're never going to fix any of this considering the magnitude it all exists now and the response needed to prevent an entire global collapse.

Austerity capitalism like an organism sends a virus to modify its host.. like I suggest.. The answer is study as a virus studied. Where it attaches.. how it infects.. what proteins are involved. Activated immune system prevents its attachment.. inactivate it’s action.. eventually deactivate the virus.. austerity capitalism. Suggests there’s somethings society does acclimates the virus..

Activism without action is 'dead', just like 'faith without works' is dead. Most activism, like faith is dead. It's all show and no action. Like religion, activism will lose its appeal when nothing is done to improve the lives of ordinary people.

I quoted Clara Mattei to a capitalist "Austerity is used as a disciplinary tool for population under capitalism."
Answer i got: I believe that what you call "capitalism" is what others call corporatism. Untidy intermingling between the state and corporations, which gives unclear responsibilities, and the possibility of great exercise of power.
    Any comments ?

The Oligarchs will always move to increase their wealth. Most of them have gone to China and Taiwan. They have absolutely no loyalty to workers or a nation. When a robot can outperform a human on the lowest global wage, that low wage human will be thrown aside also. You are just a resource to them that is all. When they can find cheaper, you're dismissed. Markets and money love money and power, not humans.

Professor Wolff, your going to Clara Mattei is counter productive. She uses words like "enemy". Her appearance is disheveled, twirling hair, shirt off center, hand over the face. She seems eccentric. Personally, I like eccentric, but it doesn't work on the front lines. More importantly, who paid for the research. Did she pay for the research or did her employer pay for the research. As much as I understand university goings-on, she likely applied for a grant. Was the grant money used to pay for the research. Again, who awarded the grant/s. Where did the grant money come from. The Establishment allows certain people to run around, doing their thing, kicking up dirt, inspiring others to do what is advocated. That sort of academic thing is business as usual. That sort of academic thing is strategy by The Establishment, for The Establishment. Where's the risk taking. When there's no risk, there's no glory. Does doing the impossible make us mighty? Where have we heard, "There's no such thing as bad publicity."

As a Polish/British nationalist some of us believe work should be for the family and the nation in so far as to allow us to live in dignity but for that we need to reduce the idea of money as it enslaves the nations families across our globe.
