Quite like the idea of bus franchising, but I wonder how does the companies make profit then? Do they all get a even share or just still depends on the income from their routes?
I believe they are paid a pre agreed amount to run the services and the profit is that amount minus the operating costs. Please correct me if I'm wrong
@glitchFan2428 odd. Here in Leeds, they don't hoover (First Leeds E400EVs for Park & Ride) neither do the rest of the electric bus fleet - Wrightbus Electroliners both GB Kites and StreetDecks and the Yutong E10s. Only the diesel StreetDecks hoover 🤷♂️. The electrics are meant to be quiet.
Yep .. i think bee network should properly follow London scheme by making double door buses permanently compulsory.. just like in London. Manchester is a big city now (2nd/3rd largest) and would definitely benefit with all buses being converted to two-doors instead of one! Look at the busy congested services like the 142/143 or the 192 .. it’s disgusting how busy they get at times

That BYD electric E400EV already hoovering at start of video 😮
Apparently they have to make some noise to alert people of their presence 🥴
