From the spawn bonfire, the one that has grace for the first time (and the dude with the white mask), you can go right into the lake and go to the nearest ruin, and in the underground tunnel lies a chest that will pull you into it, and you'll come out inside a mining cave in the caelid swamp (It might take you a while to get out of there, since there are REALLY tough dudes in there.) and youll get a bonfire aswell.
I got really lucky with my parries. and you have to take at least 60% of your health chunked in order to get that guy to show up to help you. Reduvia is my strongest dagger, just for the bleed procs. but for some reason, I need Faith to use it's skill.
George RR did the world building for the game. So some of his references will be in the game and if you like anime the berserk guts sword is also in the game too In the red land map
helpful tip is to take the bleed dagger or uchikatana to the east to kill greyoll, the huge white dragon. stand behind and just hit the tail. u get 5 dragon hearts and 60-70k runes. Easy cheese at the start
I'm definitely getting this stuff. I think it is pretty cool that everything enemies have has a chance to drop. I got the giant shields from those lancers and I've been selling their armor because I keep getting them.
Rip Faith users 😭 didn’t get any spotlight That’s fair though, faith always has it hard when it comes to getting gear/spells. I did find a few really notable things for them though. So in stormveil there’s a tome for them in that area where all the knights are set up with flamethrowers. You have to run to the side and you’ll see a staircase going down, then you fight some rats and use a stone key to clear the fog. There’s a tailsman with stupid high faith req and the tome, the godskin prayerbook, which basically gives you black flame stuff (fireball and weapon buff) that acts as a stronger fire spell with a sorta poison effect since it has a little burst of damage after it lands. This is a bit harder, since it needs 20 faith to use, but if you’re a prophet that’s a quick fix you were probably gonna do anyway so it’s not too bad. Plus the game gives you a good few options of stuff that boosts your stats so you can probably get something to support that while you scrounge the souls to level that up Then there’s a lightning based one up in learnia (which you can cheese and run to from the shack you find the spirit tuner in). This one is tougher though because you need to fight a mini boss to get it (not really a field boss, but still an extremely tough enemy). So if you’ve found the painting for that area on the hill, across from the lake town, you just walk down the hill and you’ll see a gold knight with lightning powers walking around. Beat him and he drops a book for lightning spear (it’s back!), lightning stake (different name but it’s the same thing basically), and a lightning weapon buff. Out of those as a faith starting class you can really only use the Spear and Buff immediately since they use 17 faith (you can start with 16 at most), but the spear is Strong in this game compared to how it was in DS3 to start, also just very visually pleasing! You can give these tomes to the guy at the round table, but he will be like “These scare me, are you sure?” So be careful if you don’t want to mess up something, that might be a quest line idk for sure yet. Aside from that I’m sure there’s another trainer somewhere, but I haven’t met any yet. There’s also one loose spell out in the wild I found that was notable. It was on the weeping peninsula, it’s in a place called the ailing town. You’ll be able to tell because right before it there’s a shack with rats that have glowing orangish yellow eyes, also on the map it’s that brown spot next to the big tree icon). It was called Flame of Frenzy and it shot this big AoE thing that deals fire and madness damage, but it also causes build up on you. The buildup isn’t that bad as long as you keep track, as a prophet with really only Dex and Faith upgrades, I could do about 3-4 without having madness trigger. For weapons I haven’t found anything, but I did find an ash I haven’t seen mentioned yet. There’s one across from the third church that’s on a scarab, it gives faith scaling and basically does a slash like the blood but with bless damage. Then there was one for a spear that seems like the white corona gale has in DS3, but I didn’t get to use it because my data corrupted 😞. I can’t exactly remember where I found it, but I do remember it was on a scarab and I feel like it was by the third church.

The Rusted Anchor (great Axe) is so good early game. It has a C scaling in strength which is the highest i've seen so far. You can get it by defeating a boss in the Morne Tunnel on the south side of the early map. Thanks for the video!

All of thr bosses you face are "really easy" yet I died like 20x to them. You just have played many souls games before but there is nothing "easy " about the erd tree avatar or the boss at the end of castle mourne. Great video though.
there is also the bloodhounds curved greatsword, a str/dex greatsword with an awesome unique skill, where you slash low for good damage then jump back outta harms way. 18 str and 17 dex to use, its damage scales more off dex, so a perfect heavy hitter for more dex focused fighting classes

The heal over time mixed with the significantly negate damage tears in my Flask has saved my life so many times already, I highly recommend it. The bubble and hp over time last for such a long time, it's great.
@@guepa3959 theres like a sort of hidden path to the right of the first set of stairs you come down iirc, haven't played in a couple weeks. The path isnt actually hidden but it blends in really well with the rest of the wall

You can Teleport to the swamp for the Meteorite Staff. Interact with a chest at Dragon Burnt Ruins. The chest is a trap for everyone else but for mages it's a teleport.
Am I the only one that just feels lost? I've never used magic in previous Souls games but in ER it has much more of a presence, like the game wants you to use it. I've always gone for strength builds mainly. I have an uchigatana and just don't know what to do with myself with all the options. I have 21 strength, 16 dex, 20 vig, 19 end, 14 mind and the rest are around 10-11. I'm thinking of levelling up my intelligence/arcane next. I want to be able to use magic with a heavy Dex weapon that scales with strength. What should I do? Should I level up intelligence, faith or arcane? Which is the best to focus on?
go for it what u have planned and enjoyed before. i was playing in ds3 with claymore and bloodborne with some greatsword too. now i know there is a lot of flashy things so i got blood effect on greatsword and hp regen on crit and going forward and dont care about magician if i can stagger so easy :D
Thanks for posting this. Will be very helpful. Just started the game last night. There is a lot to learn in this game about how things work. My build so far has been a magic dealer, but am thinking about going back and starting another character as a Melee build. Which is best character for melee?
Vagabond, Hero and Confessor. Vagabond has a longsword and a halberd with a crested shield. no magic whatsoever, all physical. Hero is a Strength/Faith hybrid that specializes in Dragon Magic. (no spoils on how to get them) wields a wooden shield, an ax, and some Faith oriented spells. The confessor is the best class for new players cause it has 2 faith support spells, 2 straight swords for power stancing, is good in all stats save for Arcane. and rocks a power shield.
While each class determines what you have early on, as you progress you can literally become anything you want. While I haven't tried the melee starting classes, the warrior gives you dual wielding scimitars which in the past means high damage very quickly but is not the easiest as you have to dodge if you dual wield instead of blocking.
Best tip you can get is to head to south instead of north first. Golden seeds, pretty weak enemies, all of that. I have almost 40 hours played and nothing has told me to go south from the starting point. In my first 5 hours I ignored the whole area since it seemed like you'll go there later. Nope, it's a low level area which YOU SHOULD go to as early as possible.

So the damage reduction and healing over time combo paired with the HP Regen talisman is really op btw. It's the combo I use and my HP just had a solid Regen for 3 minutes lol

You missed an item. I forgot what it's called but it's a giant wheel on a stick, strength scaling, has impressive bleed and damage. Can't quite use it yet but very soon. It's not early though. Def mid game.
no bloodfangs blade ? it has 55 bloodloss and is also a heavy curved sword that bad boy in the righthand with the reduvia in the left is a good combo spacing with r1s and if some1 comes close stagger with the l1s and bleed them to death
I regretted watching this but at the same time I made me all the more excited about the game. Sacrifice of mild spoilers for a little bit of happiness…was it worth it? Well…suffice to say all sacrifice hurts but heals over time and the payout is often worth it.
The dagger is really fun, it's been my goto since I found it. Also I can only seem to find the items to upgrade special weapons like it but not the ones for normal weapons. So it's by far my strongest weapon. Dual weilding it with a normal dagger or mailbreaker is fun too, because you can stunlock many human enemies with L1 spam.

I started out as a Samurai (regret this now, all the guides I keep watching on boss fights are magic based), but here's my question. Should I have a range of weapons at the ready? My Uchi for slashing, some form of blunt, a dagger build, a ranged build, and a sword and shield build and be able to swap these out based on the boss fight or style of the dungeon? Or, just keep boosting Uchi and just Samurai everything to death.

Beat the invader in the roundtable Hall Turn right there is a Body in the bed with a faith based holy fistweapon. Sry for my Bad english
Interestingly, there is a finger/chime, that scales off of STR for your invocations. You get it by giving the Beast Priest the first deathroot

the negate damage only lasts for one hit though but It definitely comes in clutch

Just find a hero magic weapon and spells you like, look at their stats, and respec at Renalla to fine tune.
What do you think of the katana Uchigatana , and what weapon would go as a confessor ?

Confessor is the coolest melee character
Confessor is basically the enchanted knight, with some levels and gear you can run a magic/melee build

You missed an item. I forgot what it's called but it's a giant wheel on a stick, strength scaling, has impressive bleed and damage. Can't quite use it yet but very soon. It's not early though. Def mid game.
I will say, Bloody Slash has taken me very very far in this game. I'm currently making my way to get Sepukku but Bloody Slash is just very good.

no bloodfangs blade ? it has 55 bloodloss and is also a heavy curved sword that bad boy in the righthand with the reduvia in the left is a good combo spacing with r1s and if some1 comes close stagger with the l1s and bleed them to death

The bloodhound curved sword is one bad-ass two handed sword with very cool attack move. I advice to get your hands on it.

Bloody Slash is such a great ash of war. It saved my bacon fighting so many bosses.

I regretted watching this but at the same time I made me all the more excited about the game.
Sacrifice of mild spoilers for a little bit of happiness…was it worth it? Well…suffice to say all sacrifice hurts but heals over time and the payout is often worth it.
The dagger is really fun, it's been my goto since I found it.
Also I can only seem to find the items to upgrade special weapons like it but not the ones for normal weapons. So it's by far my strongest weapon.
Dual weilding it with a normal dagger or mailbreaker is fun too, because you can stunlock many human enemies with L1 spam.
Im pretty sure when you two hand the dagger it turns into dual daggers so you dont need to equip two daggers 🙂

Great tips, thank you. This is my first Souls game, but I'm a long time gamer. I started out as a Samurai (regret this now, all the guides I keep watching on boss fights are magic based), but here's my question. Should I have a range of weapons at the ready? My Uchi for slashing, some form of blunt, a dagger build, a ranged build, and a sword and shield build and be able to swap these out based on the boss fight or style of the dungeon? Or, just keep boosting Uchi and just Samurai everything to death.
i have been wondering if the confessor is able to use spells ? i haven’t found much on it i want to use the spells in the trailer like the bow, but also want to use some melee every now and then
he is. Urgent heal and Assasins Shadow. the first is self-explanatory, the second hides your footsteps.

@@Whaddif_ you can use whatever you want with any character as long as you have the stat requirements. I play as a confessor and i tried fire spells, now glintstone, have some black fire magic to try out. Etc etc
My personal favorite weapon that you can get almost right away is the large club I call it the Big Bonk Build

You have to progress through the game until you get the invite to the round table there you’ll find a blacksmith

I found heavy sword with blue light and his skill is same skill , Viking army that his skill is scream , but his not that heavy I use it and when u press ( RT ) t fight he can dmg 4,2,5 if they was close

You can find Uchi in a catacomb dont know if there is another Katana early unless you are a Samurai.
