I feel like my life would be complete working with you guys. I’ve never found anyone in the trade that’s as passionate about quality tools, materials and techniques as RR Buildings. If you ever need a middle aged dad to come out and work for you let me know.
Kyle, You just made my mind up! I’m doing “Truss Core” in my shop! I am a 40 year drywall contractor and this just makes sense! No drywall, no mud and tape, no sanding, no primer, no paint! Washable, durable, and hopefully it doesn’t yellow over the years!
I in hope so too. So far I really really like this product. It’s not for everything but I will probably redo my wife’s garage with this stuff. It’s perfect for that application
Its PVC. I can't image its quieter than 5/8 sheetrock. But hey, go on and buy their product. Better in a garage that most leave yellowing drywall with spackle fields exposed and no primer. And it can't be cheaper than sheetrock or even painted OSB for damage control like shop or garage dings. Too shiny for my needs, unless blood and DNA wash off it well! LOL.. I'm kidding!
Just the time is saves is probably worth it for a shop or garage. The only thing that worries me is there is basically zero fire mitigation... After reading the recommendations of installing Trusscore over a fire break (from Trusscore themselves), steel is suddenly a far cheaper and much faster option...
Enjoyed the comradery within the team. Truss Core seems to be excellent solution for areas that will require simple clean up and water protection. Thanks for sharing.
Soo glad to see you guys back! Hope you had a great Christmas time!!. You both seem very happy to be back at work as the banter is much funnier!!. I'm surprised youre wives let you out to play. 1st time I think I heard Greg mention the wife since the wedding!!. Love how the Trusscore looks and just clicks together to show a seemless joint. It looks good with the different colours. Once again glad youre back If no video between today and New Years eve, Have a very "Happy New Year" to you and youres!!🎀🤓
Before you guys finish that corner in the bathroom, I would pop off the section behind your panel box and add a couple 1.5 inch conduits from the top of your panel to a large J box enclosure up in the ceiling area in your mechanical room for easier future add-on access.
I use a miter saw to cut the corners. Especially if you ever use the rounded corners, Also use a isolating tool to cut outlets and things of that such out. Really easy
It’s not that both Greg and Kyle are jammed in the closet under the stairs trying to finish the bottom of the stairs.. but you also have a camera person crawling over the top of you guys to get the shot! Well done Camera Person! Well done! Oh and the TrussCore looks fire too.
Ii briefly looked at Trusscore and then went with 5/8" drywall in my shop. If I had seen a demonstration like this before I hung the drywall it would be Trusscore all the way.
love the show, shows a lot of content that’s very useful he is a good craftsman and doesn’t skip or halfway do things having said that ,,,, this product of wall paneling that i’m sure Trusscore compensated him for using , I see the advantages of screw it and it’s all ready to paint cutting down time than using drywall,,, but it just looks like mobile home paneling just heavier grade,, the trim pieces aren’t tight and most if not all are fastened with caulk ???? the cladding looks good, but again just looks like a stronger than vinyl product,,, i can see this being a outside trim system still again like the channel and content some have great products some not so great or ridiculous price for materials to use
Here's to hoping the New Year we see a new build for Greg. This entity can and needs to build Greg a new house for free Now there's a a video worth supporting. No rent or mortgage for Greg
Kyle, if you are going to do a lot of truss core, you may want to look at finding a Delta Sawbuck. It was developed for cutting vinyl siding sheets very quickly. Check them out. 👍👍
Would love to hear your thoughts on sound transmission through the wall. Is it better or the same as drywall / wood sheathing? My initial thoughts would be that Trusscore does not do as good a job at blocking sound due to the weight/density of the product. Good video. As always, thanks for the great content! Also wanted to say that this looks fantastic!
what you done to find center for the trim for your bench, I do that all the time when I'm laying out boxes on a ceiling and I want to center them between two points, especially doing can lights on a porch or whatever. I think it's a great way to manage a long measurement for center point!
Do you remember when you were installing metal roofing on top of bare plywood/OSB without any underlayment at all and when we/many commented about that issue you said it wasn't needed and we didnt have a clue
I think the best use for Trusscore would be a floating home. I don't think that I'd use it on my home due to the visible lines that you see, the trim peaces and the extra time that it takes to install it verses drywall. It is water proof and lightweight which is a clear plus in certain situations.
The last video was foreshadowing…. Kyle developed a cyborg Greg and deployed him while Greg is on his second honeymoon. @10:32. The good news is the real Greg can’t be replaced and cyborg Greg needs constant recharging.
I'm surprised they don't have push in outside corner trims instead of having to glue them on. They have the track, just need to make a snap in corner where you can can install it either side.
The ceiling Under the stairs towards the end could have been handled a bit different. Maybe measure from the floor up and use one full width of material. Frame vertical to that and then let the ceiling meet it higher up the slope. No more hands and knees and bent panels. I realize the upinoor manifold needed to be accounted for.
I have learned more about building on this channel than all the others together. Very clear and straightforward information.
That is the goal! Thanks for watching!
Could watch this channel all day.
@@rosssmith6692 Me too. In fact, I use to watch it every Friday night for a couple years.
I feel like my life would be complete working with you guys. I’ve never found anyone in the trade that’s as passionate about quality tools, materials and techniques as RR Buildings. If you ever need a middle aged dad to come out and work for you let me know.
Yeah. Working with them would be great!
ROCKWOOL... " Your solution for loud turd splashes..." love it!

What about fire/sparks/welding/smoke protection?
what about hot exhaust coming from a tailpipe parked close to the wall? Just curious, real world applications.
Just the time is saves is probably worth it for a shop or garage. The only thing that worries me is there is basically zero fire mitigation... After reading the recommendations of installing Trusscore over a fire break (from Trusscore themselves), steel is suddenly a far cheaper and much faster option...
You Guys knocked it out of the park today. Everything looks really nice but the Utility Room is Stellar!
Those PEX under floor heating and manifolds etc, has been quite common here from 1990's.
Talented meticulous patient dudes. Love to watch em do their thing !
It looks great. Clean lines, easy upkeep and not too complex to install. You chose well and being wipe down is perfect for a shop. 😎
Except for the top trim of the slat wall, what's the go with having the join in the top right?
I like the pixelization when Kyle mimes sitting on the toilet when installing the backing for the toilet paper holder installation.😂
I've watched at least two other Trusscore videos before over the years but your was the easiest to follow along with!
Enjoyed the comradery within the team. Truss Core seems to be excellent solution for areas that will require simple clean up and water protection. Thanks for sharing.

That cladding looks clean af. gonna have to look into it.
It looks pretty good and I agree it won't replace drywall however a great idea for a shop or garage.
That looks really nice and clean, I should have went with the Trusscore also. Love the Slat wall too!
you guys are really starting to grow on me. lots of great tips and tricks, and definitely lots of knowledge gained! keep up the great work!
Awesome work, thanks for walking us thru the measurement/thought process.
i love the way u guys bust each others chops having fun and getting the job done
Always top notch with attention to detail. Thank you gentlemen
Between the romex in the head and blurring of the toilet sitting, this gave me the laughs i needed for the day.
The banter is immaculate
Can't get enough of that mechanical room. 😍
You ALWAYS gotta have a SOLID sounding clap before you do ANYTHING else. -----This made the entire vid THAT MUCH BETTER!!! *respect*
I've said it before, your attention to detail is top shelf. Love the clean look !
Love the long format on the weekends!!
That is what we call a super team fabulous job as always Marc from Belgium
As long as Greg approves of how you Finnish your headquarters it's OK with me, lol. Great building you have there. Congratulations Greg.
It’s really coming together real nicely.👍🏽
I'm impressed with the slat board, I really didn't think that was going to be strong enough to hold anything!?! Great job, love the video!
The mechanical room is a work of art! ❤
That roll down the stairs was impressive!
Before you guys finish that corner in the bathroom, I would pop off the section behind your panel box and add a couple 1.5 inch conduits from the top of your panel to a large J box enclosure up in the ceiling area in your mechanical room for easier future add-on access.
That looks really good. Great product for the purpose!
I use a miter saw to cut the corners. Especially if you ever use the rounded corners, Also use a isolating tool to cut outlets and things of that such out. Really easy
That looks great Kyle! 😁👍🏼
Trusscore looks like a pretty nice finish for a shop or garage.
Very very nice Kyle and Greg. Top shelf ! Also, Happy New Years.
nice job with this project - can't wait to see the remaining work to be done
Nice work guy’s. Always like the attention to details
Great job inside under the stairwell
I would add the white screws in the slats as there is no over kill when it comes to hanging heavy tools.
It’s not that both Greg and Kyle are jammed in the closet under the stairs trying to finish the bottom of the stairs.. but you also have a camera person crawling over the top of you guys to get the shot! Well done Camera Person! Well done! Oh and the TrussCore looks fire too.
Too funny. I was thinking the same thing. Close quarters, I hope they popped a couple of Altoids before starting.
Because those two have worked so well together over the years.
I noticed the Blue Tape on the feet of the jigsaw . . . . nice idea . . .
Looks damn good to me buddy!! Awesome work boys!! As usual!
Appreciate that man. I really like it too.
Wall look great. Thanks
If you turn a saw blade around backwards you can cut those trim pieces in a chop saw
I can tell Greg's a fan of Greenday with that One-twenty-one and a quarter melody he had going.
those walls look amazing
Love the slat wall! Clean look
Great job guys 👍
Ii briefly looked at Trusscore and then went with 5/8" drywall in my shop. If I had seen a demonstration like this before I hung the drywall it would be Trusscore all the way.
You beat that wall up
I can sleep in the mechanical room, is so clean wow!
The " Dienamic Duel " lol , excellent content boys . I think Craig needs a " barndo" built by RR .
?
It’s Dynamic duo and his name is Greg😂
Great episode not sure about the slat wall inside.could see how it would work on the outside 👍
Nice clean look! Love it!
Looking good brother Kyle and brother Greg 🤙😉
Greg: "your trailer is really coming together". Had me laughing.
Some of us use a 2x6 for TP backing, Kyle uses a 14x14.
Eyy, thanks for the good content as always. Interesting to see the diffrence between things from the us to sweden :)
Sure is good to see that diamondback on you again
love the show, shows a lot of content that’s very useful he is a good craftsman and doesn’t skip or halfway do things
having said that ,,,, this product of wall paneling that i’m sure Trusscore compensated him for using , I see the advantages of screw it and it’s all ready to paint cutting down time than using drywall,,, but it just looks like mobile home paneling just heavier grade,, the trim pieces aren’t tight and most if not all are fastened with caulk ???? the cladding looks good, but again just looks like a stronger than vinyl product,,, i can see this being a outside trim system
still again like the channel and content
some have great products some not so great or ridiculous price for materials to use
looks amazing i notice a wrinkle on the ceiling under the steps
That looks great!
Happy New year everyone
Here's to hoping the New Year we see a new build for Greg.
This entity can and needs to build Greg a new house for free

No rent or mortgage for Greg

Thanks never heard of one
Bringing in the tool box at the end made the project make sense. I was wondering what was the point of the slat wall.
I would 45 the middle trim with the top trim of the slat wall. Also 45 the bottom of the vertical trims with the bottom slat.
You need to have Matt from O G come to your place. Two absolute perfection nerds in the same room ! 😮
Looks sharp, nice work
awesome work
You should drill a hole at the end of that split to keep it from continuing to crack
I've cut a few hundred outlets in trusscore, a double sided jigsaw blade is a must.
I had never heard of these until this statement. Looked them up and thought that they were interesting. 👍
Greg just figured out what being a (married)Man means . . . "My Happiness means Nothing".
Haha
“I hope you’re happy.” “I hope you’re happy.” I was waiting for you to break out in a song from Wicked 😂
Looks very nice I liked from 🇵🇷
I would have put the joint on the corner trim to the top
So the bottom portion is seem less 😊
Would love to hear your thoughts on sound transmission through the wall. Is it better or the same as drywall / wood sheathing? KYLE you need to do a video on your bus ???
Try a Festool rail and TS 55 instead of the chalk line then remark with straight edge and pencil. Perfect cuts every time.
Here in NWINDIANA, drywall runs 2.85/sf, includes 1/2" drywall, labor, mud/tape 2 coats, done.
Fantabulous !
what you done to find center for the trim for your bench, I do that all the time when I'm laying out boxes on a ceiling and I want to center them between two points, especially doing can lights on a porch or whatever. I think it's a great way to manage a long measurement for center point!
I would usually use 2x4 behind the panels.
Fyi. Tp roll holder. 39” from framing, 26” from floor to centers
I think he forgot the paper towel holder for the bathroom. Maybe it's just me, but I have to have paper towels in the bathroom.
1:04:07 In Norway we have them with hex head also
This kinda gives me frp ptsd lolol love watching you guys
Do you remember when you were installing metal roofing on top of bare plywood/OSB without any underlayment at all and when we/many commented about that issue you said it wasn't needed and we didnt have a clue
When did you hire Waldo. Lmao love your content.
I swear sometimes watching these videos is like watching the volleyball scene in Top Gun.
The word 'turds' in an RR Buildings video. Now that's a first. Kyle keeps it 100% real. lol.
44:00 seems like something I've seen the Godfather Jiimy DiResta do before, great tip!
The Trusscore panels is similar to external PVC cladding used here in the UK, it does the job but is definitely not attractive.
I haven’t heard how the cost compares to drywall with labor saving on finishing and painting savings.
I think the best use for Trusscore would be a floating home. I don't think that I'd use it on my home due to the visible lines that you see, the trim peaces and the extra time that it takes to install it verses drywall. It is water proof and lightweight which is a clear plus in certain situations.
I put in one of the earlier vids you should go Cree from OG ! glad you listened to comments, you won’t regret it.
57:45 "Why do we still use flatheads for this?" My EXACT question all the time.
