Why Myopic Patient accepts Over-correction easily during Refraction?

Just had eye exam and eye doctor told me I was probably getting headaches from over-correction but didn't explain it but this video did and more helpful!

Great one... The same issue I met wid a patient who was wearing BE :-2.25 sph for past 2 years.. he came for review to us and static refraction for the patient reveals -1.50sph... the patient accepted -1.50 sph but he came back to us after few days complaining of visual clarity .. since he ws using his previous glasses for past 2 yrs continuously he's unable to accept his actual power ... It's kind of difficult to rectify this problem and patients find hard to accept wid lesser minus power .. the pt go behind d clarity ...

It's a challenge in practice but we have to educate the patient about consequences.

If patient able to read 6/6 with -2.00 Ds and he is also comfortable with -2.50 DS ,so which one we can suggest him

5 years back I had eye test for first time and doctor recommended - 0.75 left and - 1.25 right power and I didn't wear specs for 4 years and last year I had eye test and power were - 1.50 and -1.75 and I wore for 1.5year continue and now again I had eye test and optometrist told I had over Correction and with new no vision is not good
Can it happen ????

It will take some time and you will see clear by the time. Don't use over corrected minus power
