this was from teenage years so i used cheap methods, didn't like the dot inlays on RG321 so i covered with black electric tape. My original hope was fingerboard seemed dark enough that few would notice lol. I also used paint pen to color the pickups, but it is a stock rg321mh. Now that you mention it, might be fun to sand a cheap fingerboard down and stain only on fret marker frets etc, would look interesting for rosewood/maple. good eye though i forgot i had taped those off

Not sure, but I noticed instead of fret markers there's darker fretboard wood. Looks like maybe a combo of rosewood and ebony, but then frets 22 and 23 look lighter like mahogany. Then again, could all be the same wood but stained differently in certain spots.
