Had no trouble installing a year ago, now I'm having issues. I have to go into the file and click eqgame to play, but cannot make a short cut. My characters cannot get out of first person view either, any tips?
Please note that if you are using a newer amd cpu, emulated EQ may not work. The processors are just too fast. You will have to lower the clock multiplier in bios, there is no other way I have explored every option.
@@Maxamos I think it depends on the processor. I have a 7950x and I change to multiplier from 45 to 42 if I recall correctly. just keep dropping it 1 by 1 until the game runs.

Hi there! Are you running an AMD processor? If so, you'll want to make sure that you go to the Quarm Discord in the #server-files section, and download the latest experimental eqgame.dll which fixes an issue with AMD processors.
Yes! As long as they are in different folders, there shouldn't be an issue, however, if you happen to be using an AMD processor as well as the AMD fix for Project Quarm, you may have to keep your processor underclocked in order to run P99. Otherwise, you should be good!
Hold on...the second file from discord. Are we unzipping to the first folder, or just dragging eqgame.dll to the other folder? When I just drag it it gives an error saying "an unexpected error is keeping you from moving the file. If you continue to receive this error, you can use the error code to search for help..." This is damn frustrating
I just selected "skip" on the above error, and it seems to have copied... but when i run eqgame.exe it first shows a blank window titled "EQW beta 2.32" then a few seconds later I get another window titled "EverQuest startup Error" that says... "EverQuest was unable to initialize the file EQMAIN.DLL You may wish to try rebooting, deleting EQMAIN.DLL and restarting EverQuest"

Broken for M1 Mac running OS12, or no information provided-can’t copy a .DLL file into a Mac application because iMacs run .Dylib, not DLL. Want to play this super bad buuuut… :(
I hope you figured this out and have been running around Norrath on Quarm already, but just in case you haven't, you'll just want to run eqgame.exe in the Quarm directory. There may be a need for some eqclient.ini tweaks such as for your resolution and FPS settings.

I am using Alkabor client to play on the actual Alkabor server. But I also want to try Quarm. Can I use the same Alkabor game account for both Alkabor and Quarm, and just extract the Alkabor files a 2nd time in a different folder for Quarm and use Secret's file only on that folder.
You’ll want to run eqgame.exe. Keep in mind that Quarm isn’t live until October 1 @ 2PM CT, so you’ll be able to get as far as the server select screen at this time.
someone please tell the team not to keep necessary resources on discord exclusively. ive seen years upon years of community compiled resources just disappear because private server teams decide to restructure their discord and delete entire threads of info. it's such an unnecessary risk.

Not as easy as this video makes it look...I was unable to get it working. Was able to create a toon on Alkabor in a little tiny window but then something went wrong...now I get a black screen with a little tiny login window that is not correct.
You may want to check out a brand-new Quarm dev-approved mod called Zeal. It corrects 100% of the mouse issues along with some other neat QoL improvements. Quarm Discord has more info on it!

So how's the server population? Healthy? Lots of multiboxing happening?

Unfortunately, at this time, I believe the only way to get that system file (and future versions of it) will be on Discord.

Quarm is a new server launching this Sunday at 3pm ET, I believe! 1 box enforced.

eqgame.exe in your EverQuest directory. Make sure you run it from the directory, as opposed to searching for it and opening it there.

The project lead is a software engineer... I'm positive they are doing this properly as they have been involved in EQ emulation for a long long time.
