      The newest Nikon speedlight, the SB-5000, has an RF receiver built in. So I'm guessing the body he's using has a built in RF transmitter. The older stuff was either optical trigger or added trigger gear like a PocketWizard.

      @@frankwoodbery2473 many thanks. I wish someone could also jump to my rescue on how to do that with a Canon set up with a bunch 600-EX-RTs paired with a Canon ST-E3-RT

      @@IamWhoYouSayIam - Sorry Im a Nikon guy but since both your flash and camera are designated RT, I bet they can be paired using built in RF trigger. Good luck!
